    They're currently matching HN's $38 deal. They won't match $29, because it's only available using a targeted coupon code.

      You'll be surprised, they've done it before in the past. Amazon AU, in general, has an extremely aggressive price-matching strategy for games especially. They know you'll buy from them even if it's at the same price purely because of the convenience of delivery.

      I've even been able to ask live chat after ordering from Amazon to match a discount code and they happily just either refund the difference or give me the amount in credit for a future purchase. Key is though to speak nicely and treat them like a human.

        I tried to price match last of us when it was $20 at eb. Asked then to pricematch down from $29, no dice.

        6 hours later they dropped the price anyway smh

        Fair enough, I've had similarly good experiences with customer service (things like retroactive discounts, compensation for minor issues, etc). On the flipside, they seem to be very strict/precise when it comes to their criteria for lowering listed prices.

        I'd love for them to match the $29 deal so I could claim price protection, but I don't think it's likely.
