Man this game isn't worth $48 lbh
It has over 23 hours of gameplay, and it has pretty good reviews.

Yep and it also has the highest completion rate for a PS4 game.

So that’s 9-10 of Ellie?
Why do you say that? I haven't played this yet but thought it was pretty acclaimed. Did you like the first one?
There was some controversy with the plot/story line.
Game Informer chose this game as their best game of the generation.
It's something more than excellent. Just play it for yourself, you won't regret it.
Metacritic score of 5.6
@[Deactivated]: 5.7 now, higher than Animal Crossing New Horizons 5.4 :)
this game proves why you should never listen to bullshit websites like gameinformer ign or gamespot
Exactly
I liked the first one, the second one was a big let down
Show me where the game hurt you.
Bruh I just didn't like the game?
Visually it’s great but the stories are a mess
I've had this game since launch, sitting in its plastic. I've had little to not spare time lately other than work, gym and family time. At this rate I think I'll wait until November 12 to start once I pick up the PS5.
‘IF” you can pick up the PS5?
I ain't no fool haha I pre-ordered at both EB and JB well before they sold out :) I ain't waiting until March haha
If you like the first game, you probably wont like this second one
Depends on why you liked the first one. If you liked it due to an attachment to particular characters, sure, i can see the reason for dislike. If you liked it due to the world and the style of storytelling then likely this will still likely be great, and an interesting addition to the in-game universe.
Like you said, the first one was great because of the characters.
When you lie in promotional material and take dumps on characters in the sequel, don’t be surprised when a bunch of people dislike it
Loved the first game, played it when it came out, played the remaster on PS4 and loved the sequel as well.
Played the first game, it was terrific. Played this, it was absolutely terrible. Please steer clear of this game, it's not worth your money at all.
Why is it terrible? Seems good so far but the graphics are pretty bad for such a big release.
There's a reason its basically half price after only 4 months lel
In about a month or so, there will be Black Friday sales, and the month after, Boxing Day Sales, at those sales is probably you will find even further sales for games like these or ghost of Tsushima.
So basically what Sony is trying to do is make the most money they can, their games always been reduced after short period of times, this is no exception.
Games like Animal Crossing NH were yesterday and today at $49, only after 6 months of release.
And it’s been 4 months with no holidays and we’re all inside due to Covid and still the price of TLOU2 has been slashed. It’s the worst sequel since ww2
@[Deactivated]: It’s $64. What are you talking about??
It’s selling good and will sell more when it wins goty!!
@kazuyamishima: A lacklustre sequel winning against cyberpunk? You’re dreaming
Already on clearance
I want to buy it but won't get the chance to play it until December. Hopefully the price drops even further by then.
On seeing how there's differing opinions of the game, thought i'll share this review of this polarising game, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04xZOG2cnTQ . It might give you a different perspective to the game especially if you hated it in the first place. SPOILER ALERT: obviously skip this if you haven't played it.
I personally loved both games.
Just received my $10 credit from the Amazon Gift cards.
One of the better uses I could find was to push the purchase of this down to $38.
Alternatively, can get Pokemon Sword/Shield for $38
Just cancelled my $49.97 purchase and got for $48! Thanks OP! (Should say thanks Gerry, too!)
