Optus Realme C21 (4GB, 64GB, NFC, Fingerprint, 6.5" HD IPS LCD, AI Triple Camera, $30 Recharge included) $129 @ K-Mart

100

Not as great as this Woolies deal but $129 for Cross Black color of Realme C21 is a good deal as well. Also, stock easily available so you would get this if interested.

Also includes $30 Optus Recharge - applied when you activate the included SIM.

Phone is locked to the Optus network, but you could get it unlocked by jumping on to Optus Chat support.

Is this phone actually fast enough for normal everyday use? Me ma's Note 9 is in the bin and she needs a phone for just general everyday use.

    • Definitely sufficient for mums & dads. I bought a 3g/32g version for my son to watch Youtube / take random pictures and never had any issues.

Large screen and battery are also tech trivial friendly

    • defintely better than the motorola e7 power i picked up last month for $69 which lags when you want to do anything including pulling up the settings app.

no such lags with the realme. upgraded it to android 11, got it unlocked for free in 10 minutes with optus. basically just got it for the nfc which works great but it's nice to use overall. not for gaming though - tried with Real Racing 3. camera is decent. only thing i don't like is how big it is compared with my 1st gen iphone se. i'd say it's ok value at this price. not many phones at this price point for nfc, which is it's main selling point, imo.

  • Woolies c21 is not optus locked, so this Kmart ones is Optus locked right?

    • You cannot unlock the kmart phone. I've tried with my London based unlocked. Sad face sad face!

Not as great as this Woolies deal but $129 for Cross Black color of Realme C21 is a good deal as well.

That $49 Woolies deal actually dropped down to $29

    $29 vs $129

First one was a great deal. Not sure how I would describe the other.

    • Where ?

    • Anywhere to check remaining stocks?

      • Woolworths app. Set desired store and search ‘realme’. If it comes up and says In Stock, then you're in luck. Now $19 by the way. Picture

        • Too late to search- it's unavailable Sydney wide, according to Woolworths staff.

          • @Toxinor: Staff at one store here in SA told me that too. A week later i did that check in app, and picked one up.

            • @UosdwisRDewoh: Good to know the trick. I've checked, just too late for this product here…

  • I got the one from woolies but at the 49 price point; it was locked to optus.
Took about 60mins or more to finally have a optus chat rep give my unlock code… I have other services with then but used the whole want to use it for overseas phone bla bla excuse

    • The question is where's available now. Woolworths staff said that's unavailable Sydney wide.

      • I punched in a few rural SA stores and they had stock. They’re probably right about being unavailable Sydney wide, but I don’t think the system staff uses comes up with any stock at all anywhere like when you look on Woolies site. Only the app seems to reveal who has stock. Like i said in other comment staff at one store told me none left anywhere but picked one up a week later from another store after checking in app.

  • Sorry if this is a silly question, would an amaysim sim work in this phone?

    • +1

      Yes. It will work.

  • realme is currently selling this for $139. Looking at the main site they seem to be selling the same single SIM model as Optus apparently locked since they state they supply an unlock code. I'd guess you don't an Optus SIM with this (but I wouldn't be surprised if you get Optus firmware.)

Currently though, unless you are desperate for NFC, this Vodafone locked Motorola moto e7 for $79 in this deal is worthy of consideration. Also on offer is the lower spec e7 power for $49 which tdw above does not recommend.
