This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app. Please see the archived thread (January 2017 - January 2022) for previous discussions.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

Step 2: Upon filling up simply fill in the details in this format:

  • NAME OF 7/11 STORE
  • PETROL TYPE
  • PETROL PRICE

Example:

  • Richlands QLD

                          @jv: Well, if you're genuinely worried about stalkers, give the Fixated Persons Unit a call. Twenty bucks says when you tell them you're jv they'll say "we know, come down the station and save us a trip, we have your lodgings ready".

                          There are nomads wandering the Gobi desert who only use technology twice a year who are overly familiar with/sick of both of your ideas. They used to keep track of your Dan mentions by maintaining a tally but unfortunately they ran out of grains of sand a few months back.

    Just suddenly started getting constant A01 errors on both my rooted android and my emulated android studio device. From reading previous threads, it seems like my devices might be banned. What's the quickest way to setup a new device on android studio? Can I just duplicate the device or do I have to start from scratch? TIA

          Reset deviceid, leave it for a few days and try again. Same thing happened to me, now it's all working again. No guarantees but just reflecting my experience.

    There is a problem with the app , It wont let me lock in at my local 711 , I keep getting the AO1 error.

      Same here. I'll try again tomorrow, hopefully it's rectified. Last week I was able to use iOS app, iFL and VPN to France without issue.

          I lock in at home, I have two phones, both connected on wifi.

          My 7-Eleven is on an iphone 8
          My main phone is an iphone XS

          When I try an lock in on the iphone 8, I get A01 error.
          I then hotspot to the iphone XS (which is on the same wifi network) and try again, and it works… Every time…

              No, only after I view the locations and prices and press the button to lock the price.

            @jv: Interesting, i just tried that but it failed. Tried to lock in on my iPad, I get A01 error. The error even comes up when opening the app!
            I then hotspot to my iphone SE (which is on the same wifi network) and try again, and I got the same error.
            My Mrs just filled up and the guy said there's an issue with the app at the moment, so might only be temporary. OR he's got NFI and was fobbing her off.

    just tried again, currently in QLD, ianygo used to spoof to WA, nordvpn to france didnt work got A01, but vpn to perth worked

    Had this problem throughout last night - usually free VPN through singapore and nothing was working.
    Turns out its based on the VPN location - i took my VPN off and was able to book in VIC as im VIC based.
    Now i need to find a free VPN with Aus locations per state.
    Damn 7/11!

              @jv: There’s no 7-Eleven stores in Tas or NT. ACT doesn’t have a fuel cycle and is unlikely to be the cheapest in Australia.

    What I did to fix it.. Once you have the fake location and in in 7 Eleven get the Error A01 -> Go into App Settings and don't allow location service for 7-Eleven App

    FWIW, I started to get A01s when previously was working just fine with VPN to Europe. Nothing suggested here worked for me, I even tried to lock in normal pricing and that WORKED, this means there is nothing wrong with the apps or the service. Eventually I gave up trying to lock in interstate, and tried just local state pricing (4cents off the best price), I locked in successfully local state with ianygo on IOS without any VPN.

      So you used a fake location but remained in the home state. I wonder if the time on the device and the time for the location of the locked price needs to match.

      I wonder if 7-Eleven is blocking VPN IPs

    Out of interest, did anyone manage to get the 111.1 brief drop at Newport today, and see if the 25c/L discount cap was enshrined?

    Or was that a likely honeypot (intentional or not)?

    There seems to be no consistency with these A01 errors, hoping it's on their side.

    I newly rooted a phone, so I have two now. The old one works fine with no A01 errors, and I won't try to experiment on it as well. It can go to WA with no probs while I'm in VIC.

    The newly rooted phone has A01 error coming up. I also signed up for a new account and it does the same. I tried to lock in the same state but still the same. I tried to lock with no spoof, it's still the same.

      From my experience, i don't know how but it seems like my account is locked to QLD, i can lock any stores in QLD but any other states i get the A01 error

        I’ve been locking in WA prices from VIC for months. I had A01 error that I couldn’t get past this week. I filled up at Shell with 8c/L off and I haven’t tried 7-Eleven again.

    I've got an old Android phone which I've wiped, flashed new ROM (LineageOS), and set up for a chopper. As soon as I register an account, enter in the name and date of birth, it gives me a G09 immediately.

    Has anyone else experienced this before?

      G09 is a Banned Device ID / Account Error. Recommend making an account on a completely different device, then logging in the wiped phone. But even then, it may not work.

        I know of the G09. But my point is, I've tried changing the device ID, I've tried wiping and setting up the device from scratch, with new accounts too.

    FYI Android Studio Chopper Guide worked when I set it up and tried it out for the first time today. The only addition is that you'll need to VPN to the correct state to avoid the A01 error.

    Error A01 is definitely state based now. No go in VIC or NSW but could log in for QLD (home state). Bastards.

      I don’t think it’s state based, I am in nsw locking for nsw price by using I fake location change to never after searched the lowest price still getting A01. Someone posted on social media based in nsw locking for a wa price without vpn by using latest 3utools and succeeded.

    3utools would not work for me using ios17 but managed to update the drivers ianygo then use 3utools to change locations.
    I had trouble using surfshark so tried Nordvpn which worked with no errors straight away

    Maybe I got lucky but Nord worked for me

        Just google ianygo and download the trial. You'll also have to do a search for the regkey edit so that you can keep using it past the 2 free location changes. Or you can copy the below into a notepad and save it as a .bat file:
        reg delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Siacgltiyg\SiaData\MFTimes /v position /f

        reg delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Siacgltiyg\SiaData\MFTimes /v manypoint /f

        reg delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Siacgltiyg\SiaData\MFTimes /v simplepoint /f

            @sprof: Once you make the changes to registry, why do we need to run it again please? Trying to get my head around it.

            Can I just do it manually if needed? Do I need to do it for each use?
