This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app. Please see the archived thread (January 2017 - January 2022) for previous discussions.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

Step 2: Upon filling up simply fill in the details in this format:

  • NAME OF 7/11 STORE

                @PhillipC: I just locked in a U91 price from WA without using a VPN. My son uses my laptop and ifakelocation with no VPN to lock in WA prices.

    Can confirm A01 error goes away with NordVPN set to Perth. PureVPN was PureTRASH and didn't work. Nor did hotspotting

      where did u get discounted 7 eleven gc with 6 percent ? and nordvpn doesn't have as good as cashback currently. surfshark trial not working to perth

    The app is total shit now!

    Errors even in own state, had to switch to hotspot 4g/5g to another phone to get it to lock in same state

      That’s the only way I can get it working too. The other phone can be on Wi-Fi though and it still fixes the error.

    The My 7-Eleven app will be put into maintenance mode for an update between:

    12:00am - 12:15am 19 March AEDT

    and

    12:00am - 4:00am 21 March AEDT

    During this time you won't be able to use the My 7-Eleven app or its features, but everything will be just the way you left it when it's back online.

            @HopSkipJumpFallSplat: They screwed up they preview line and it says “App outage between 10:30pm - 11:59pm, 26 September AEST View me online My 7-Eleven” but when you open it the dates are in March.

        They do plenty of updates where they have an outage and updates mention stuff about enhancing security but hasn’t stopped the choppers at all so far.

    Any way to get this working with Android? I can successfully change location using iAnyGo then use PIA VPN to change my location but still 7/11 app not buying it. Receive error message "We've detected your location isn't true. To continue, please correct your location".

    This morning i was no longer able to log in with my "." 7-11 account (ie adding a dot in my burner gmail address) - i was doing some chopper maintenance of my own. I also dont receive emails to reset my password.

    All my 7eleven accounts have now been blocked after the update. They must have included a software that detects location spoofying…
    Anyone had the same issue?

      Same - locked in with my burner accounts at 9am got an email at 2pm saying my accounts have been blocked.
      Have other accounts that cant seem to lock either.
      Using Android studios, anybody have this issue and found a workaround?

      I wonder if it's worth it to continue doing these price locks. At this rate it might be better just to find which local servo has the cheapest price and go there.

      I recently went to a non 7 11 servo the other day because I couldn't lock from WA.

    Yep, but i can sign into my other non-blocked accounts and fuel lock locally just not interstate (WA to be specific) - A01 error.

      same issue locking WA
      works fine in locking same state (VIC)

      given the current limit of 25c, and all my closest 7-11 stations are at 231c
      atm seems doesnt matter locking in WA (172.9) or VIC (181.9)…

      I have. I did it numerous times via different gas pumps. All u need to do is go up to counter and tell the cashier that u would like to pay for pump # and pump # together. Then scan your barcode to redeem the pricelock. Max 150ltr applies iirc and make sure you are both refuelling the same fuel.

    Reporting my findings trying to create a new account today.
    Always getting Error G09 after clicking the register link in the email, setting password, entering first name, last name, and date of birth.
    That is to say at the point where the new user should be taken into the app for the first time, the account gets locked.

    I've tried a few things - all using latest version of 7-Eleven app:
    + Android Studio starting with a cleanskin Pixel image, setting the Device ID for 7-Eleven app with and without VPN running in the image. NBN for Internet.
    + Using known-good rooted phone with newly set Device ID and all new email address. VPN running. Optus 4G Wi-Fi for internet.
    + Different email domains in case my own one was blocked.

    Doesn't matter if the location is set to WA, QLD or NSW

    I could make a new account on an old Android handset. No root or location setting software.
    Using those newly created account details I could log into to 7-Eleven app on the Android Studio emulated Pixel.
    But not lock, A01 error - which has been discussed at length here.

    Anyone else getting similar?

      I had issues setting up a new physical Android phone with an immediate G09 as well.
      I finally got it working by starting the account setup on it it not rooted, then rooting it after the 7-eleven app was done.

          You cant lock WA price because you will get banned. I use ianygo app. Its pretty simple and straight forward.

      This error isn’t due to the pin. This error is because you probably don’t have iTunes installed and your machine isn’t listening on port 27015

      The error on the last line: failed to connect to usb

      Installed iTunes, make sure Apple Mobile Device Service is running. It’ll work

    If you are unable to lock fuel using spoofed location and VPN (Surfshark) then turn on the option 'Rotating IP' in the Surfshark app after that try to lock. It works fine for me.

      Can confirm changing to rotating IP in Surfshark VPN allows me to lock in WA from Vic. Happy days. 😊

    Brand new account, tried both GeoPort AND iAnyGo on two iPhones (iPhone X ios 16 & iPhone 15 ios 17) and still the A01 error! I also tried the VPN approach too. Very tiring. In my own state

    Could they have blacklisted my device? or does privacy/security prevent them from being able to identify a device?

    Am I missing something obvious?

      Did you follow these steps when using GeoPort?
      - open GeoPort
      - select cheapest location and simulate location
      - open 7-11 app and find the fuel type you're after - this should display the cheapest price BUT DONT LOCK IN
      - In GeoPort: stop location
      - Go back to your 7-11 app and now lock in the price

        FYI, clicking "Stop Location" in GeoPort didn't actually change my location (ie maps still showed the spoof location), but 7-11 no longer fixed the A01 error. Also clicking "Stimulate location" needs to clicked twice

        Can we pin this at the top to help other users??

    just found that the ElevenMe app has a new version in appstore
    now it is able to show all the station price using current phone location (eg. https://ibb.co/ykPWN8V )
    maybe a handy way to find the cheapest station given the 25c /L saving limit

      It took quite awhile to load, PetrolSpy is quicker for me (you can filter it to show 7-Eleven only). But it's nice to have on the ElevenMe app too I guess which I keep for push notifications.

    Cashrewards currently has 98% cashback on NordVPN. Bought the 2 yr basic plan for US$83.43 tonight (selected Christmas Island to avoid GST) and purchase was tracked within an hour. Was able to lock in WA U98 price from NSW with no issues.

      Always use 711 GC's, twice I couldn't split pay, both times attendant didn't know how to do it.

      Yes and no issues but I recall reading somewhere u can only split once (ie u get 2 goes to pay only). Never tried more than 2 so don't know if thats true

        Had two Locks one on My phone another on my wife's got fuel and they wouldn't let me scan bar code for discount said that there's a national outage
        So missed out on 8c /l discount for only 15l so didn't really bother me too much.
        Will probably not bother with 711 now as if they renege on legitimate discounts be better off using the NSW fuel app and going to the next station that has a cheaper normal price

    16.24 In rare cases, 7-Eleven or its systems may not be able to redeem your activated Fuel Lock at the time you wish to make your fuel purchase (for example, the equipment necessary for scanning your My Card may not be available or operational). If this happens, and you have already dispensed the fuel, you must purchase the fuel at the standard pump price and finalise payment at that price. We will provide you with a credit to the value of the difference (rounded up to the nearest dollar), if you follow the following steps:

    (1) please obtain and retain a store transaction receipt for the proof of purchase;

    (2) in the settings menu of the App you can find contact details for the 7-Eleven Customer Service; and

    (3) email your receipt to 7-Eleven Customer Service.

        Managed to get a lock on iPhone 8 using 3uToola.

        Had to be home state though :(

        No go using VPN to modify state to say NSW and getting NSW locks (using PIA)

        I’ve been locking in once a week successfully for the last few months.

        iPhone iOS 16, iFakeLocation (running on Windowsv, NordVPN (running on iOS) set to Perth (and confirmed with iplocation.io)

          This did it!

          I was running the VPN on the router level and for some reason nothing. Ran it on the Phone level and it's working like a charm. I don't know why, I have a "plug and pray" knowledge of networking.

          iOS 15.6, 3uTools and PrivateInternetAccess (running on iOS) set to state for lock.

          Guesstimate gonna have to run the VPN on the android device but tbh Pixel 2 is a soundmachine and more steps to use than the iDevice.

            @Shroomlet: This is because 7-11 are comparing your iDevice ip against the location you are locking in

            It supports location sim on iOS17 devices, windows and Mac OS.

            In a few days version 2.0 will be out and I can now do location sim over WiFi (you don’t need to have your iOS device tethered with a usb cable any more)
