    • Same problem

    • use GeoPort, works on iOS 17 https://geoport.me/

ifakelocation can only support up to iOS 16

      • awesome, let me try

      • How do you get it work? I keep getting "no devices found"

        • Send me a message with how you are running it and on what OS.
No Devices found is an issue on your machine / the way you are running it.
On Mac - you are either running it without "sudo" and/or from your "Downloads" folder
On Windows - it will be windows firewall settings for public/private networks and when you first ran GeoPort you probably hit "Ok" to a pop-up which only allowed Public Networks

          • @dave31: n00b question - how do you get it to run on Iphone? currently have ios 16.

            • +2

@ScoobyGadgets: It runs on Windows or Mac and connects to your iOS device via cable (and in v2.0 I'll have wifi)

      • It recognises my iPhone, but when I click 'connect device' it says 'Unable to create device tunnel within 60 seconds - please try to connect again'. Any ideas??

If you have multiple accounts and 1 or 2 devices and if used to many times they will get blocked.

    I tested a few things
iPhone 6S and iPhone 14 Max Pro - tested with 3utools, ianygo, geoport - account got banned - NordVPN used
Also tested on Android Studio - same story as with iPhones - NordVPn used

Created a new account with Android phone never used before for locking and it managed to login in but when loging in on any of the iPhones or android studio - came up with A01 error which stands for too many locks within 24 hours - weird since it has never been locked on that account, looks like device problem.

My thought is if account does not get banned it's the device you are using - if used to many times for multiple locks on multiple accounts.

Another test will be with another iPhone which hasn't been used for locking fuel/ making any new accounts and only one account will be used to see if that works and if the 7-Eleven is limiting accounts per device and then blocking the device if it creates new account.

    Will keep you posted :)

Just started getting A01 error on my helicopter phone.

No issues locking on my unrooted android, but 2x accounts on the rooted both get A01.

Passes safety checks and Magisk and Smali are up to date and working fine for other apps.

    • +2

Same issue here. My rooted android was working fine till last week and now suddenly gets an A01.

    • So just to confirm,

-when logging into 711 and the searching and searched the cheaper petrol. You had VPN of the state thats cheapest, and fake GPS on

      • afterwards, you turned VPN off, now you press lock, and no A01 error? (is your normal IP in the same state as cheapest 91 or different state)
  • +7

So yesterday, not sure what I did but I suddenly got A01. I messed around a little with the magisk app as one of the apps I downloaded detected the phone was rooted, then after that I get the A01 error.

So I checked and re-did the steps mentioned in this post from last year and I'm back in business: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/14698107/redir

    • I redid the same steps. Still getting the darned A01 error.

    • +1

Thanks, fixed the A01 error I was getting even with the VPN.

    • These instructions worked for me after trying vpn

    • Can confirm this worked for me too. No VPN required to get it working for fuel out of state either. You might need to clear storage for the 7-eleven app too.

    • You’re bloody a legend! Thanks mate

    • Thanks, had error a01, this worked for me, no vpn required

    • Thanks!! fixed A01 issue by updating Magisk and all the modules plus installing Shamiko and hiding Magisk. No need for vpn.

A little update - Bluestacks runing the My 7 Eleven app & NordVPN worked for locking the fuel.

Will follow up with the iPhone method once done see if it works.

My advice would be keep one account per device - do not use multiple accounts on the same device and same location it will get flagged and the G09 or A01 error will pop-up everytime.

    • +1

      A01 error will pop-up everytime

I've only had the one account on the one phone and get the A01 error each time.
I then hotspot that phone to my other phone, and the error goes away.

I had previously used a rooted moto G5 plus that had identified as a Pixel 4 after rooting (don't know what it's pronouns were…lol) anyhoo went to lock in some prices on Good Friday and found the phone had had gender reassignment back to a Moto G 5… Spent the best part of 4 days trying to sort this out until I found the 'Chopper' hack - created an android emulated Pixel 4 and now able to lock in prices in WA and use in Qld. Happy days again.

Hey all - I've updated GeoPort to v2.0
Introduced untethered location spoofing on iOS. So you no longer need to use the USB cabled to your mac / windows / linux
Improved installation process on mac too - make it easier for everyone!

    https://geoport.me

Release notes and screenshots - https://github.com/davesc63/GeoPort/releases/tag/v2.0

Future idea: I am looking to see if its possible / feasible to change the iOS http proxy settings. This would allow me to find / use some public proxy servers around Australia to get around the A01 error - the idea being that we would use a WA proxy server so all your ios device traffic routes via the WA proxy server allowing for WA location lock in

    • @dave31 thank you for the update. First time user of your app and experiencing the following error:
sudo: a terminal is required to read the password; either use the -S option to read from standard input or configure an askpass helper
      sudo: a password is required

@deeznuts fixed. Can you please re-download. The console should now be black background with blue writing so you'll know its updated version

        • @dave31 - that worked. Thank you!

Bug fixes and extra checks - so bumped to v2.1
      https://github.com/davesc63/GeoPort/releases/tag/v2.1

    • Hey mate, I've tried this on windows, app looks great, but even though windows sees my iphone when i connect in with a cable, geoport doesn't. Went through the FAQ and couldn't find any suggestions, just wondering if there are any solutions to this.

      • +1

        Hey @dinglejerry
On windows there’s only a few things to check.

        1) the windows firewall settings for GeoPort. If public and private aren’t selected the app will fail to connect to your phone

        2) the usb drivers. A fresh start is always good. Use device manager - network adapters and remove /delete the “UsbNcm” drivers. They will be reinstalled by GeoPort

Feel free to flick me a DM with your console output too if the above doesn’t get you going!

        • Oh I do see you posting about Android simulation too. GeoPort is for iOS devices only (currently)

          • @dave31: Thanks mate. I have both an iphone and a rooted android phone, I'm trying geoport with the iphone… I'll try to adjust windows firewall and get back to you.

    • Silly question how to install using Ubuntu. I was expecting a .Deb file in the zip but it had no extension. Try to rename no luck.

      • I managed to fixed the issue with a simple chmod command, chmod +x GeoPort. Need to extract the file.

However it doesn't the ipad on the chromebook in the browser. Oh well works in Windows. Tried to install firefox.

The ipad is detected in the file browser of the chromebook.

    • Ive been running this on Windows tethered. I cant seem to find any instructions on how to do this untethered.

So how do I get GeoPort added to the links on page 1 here?
    @alvian?

GeoPort fits in the free, non-jailbreak, iOS17 supported category

    • +3

      Added to description. Thanks.

      • Unreal, thank you!!

  • Started getting the A01 error as of yesterday.

Have tried numerous fixes — hotspotting one phone to another, trying this fix, deleting app.

    Anyone found any solutions?

  • Is there a fix for android users yet ?

    • no

  • Found out a really quick method for anyone who gets A01 error with every other method.

    • Download bluestacks
    • Get nordvpn
    • Change location in bluestacks to wherever
    • Check lowest price for fuel
    • Turn on VPN to specific state
    • Lock in the lowest price
    • Get nordvpn refund at the every month as 30 day money back guarantee
    • -3

      Or just hotspot your device.

      • Didn't work for me or multiple other people

        • -7

          Works every time for me.

    • +2

Or wait for a >90% cash back NordVPN deal.

  • No luck with Surfshark VPN.

  • +4

For those who are on rooted android devices and receiving A01 error:

Completing the following steps on magisk resolved my error.

    1. Enabled Zygisk
    2. Did not enable "Enforce DenyList"
    3. "Configure DenyList" - added both ticks for 7-Eleven
    4. Enabled "Hide the Magisk app" from Magisk —> Settings
    • That seemed to work for me after I restarted the phone.

    • +1

Thanks - didn't work for me sadly.

    • Didn't work for me :(

      NordVPN/PureVPN didn't fix it either

Update: I just tried locking in without any location spoofing, and it's still giving me the A01 error. Might need to burn the device ID and create a new account.

      • Let us know how you go with the new account. I tried a new deviceID, that didn't work. It's random though, I tried without using a GPS location setter and it DID work then.

        • Cleared app data, updated to latest version (I had turned off auto-updates for a while now), created new account, enabled VPN – no bueno.

No location spoofing + no VPN = still A01 error also.

Looks like they figured out a way to determine if someone is using a rooted device.

I would use my iOS devices but both have been blacklisted somehow.

          • @itsfree: Have you tried android studio emulator or geoport on the iphone?

      • I'm having the exact same issue as you, no solutions yet. May have to do a wipe on my phone.

    • Worked for me cheers.

    • It works for me thanks

      • Still A01 for me.Not using VPN , same state lock (Locking Townsville from Brisbane).

Tried every option in the previous posts. Not working

  • Further update now that I have managed to get my hands on iPhone 8 with iOS 16.7.7

Created a new fresh never used email and new 7-Eleven account.
NordVPN for the location and ianygo for location set used.
    Locked fine no problem.

    Hope it helps.

So two methods that I have tested where bluestacks on Windows 11 with my 7-Eleven app and NordVPN running with location set in bluestacks. - New account created and used via bluestacks - works fine managed to lock the fuel

Second method as above works fine.

I was having all sorts of drama with my previous devices that I have used to lock the fuel no matter if the new account has been used to log in. Tried all the above and it seems to work fine - don't go crazy creating multiple accounts on one device because it looks like you will definitely get flagged and get the errors. - Less is more :)

    • What Android version did you use with Bluestacks and do you use Nord inside bluestacks or out? My 7/11 refuses to detect the new location for some reason it knows where the original is.

      • +1

Bluestacks 10 and everything running within the app.

        • Thanks tried about 3 times but doesnt work, fresh installs and apps from Playstore. The apps still have visibility of IP location for some reason maybe it's because you're using an older app version, who knows.

    • Did you lock interstate and successfull redem without a ban?

  • Updated my nexus 5 to guide linked before

    newest magisk
    safteyfix
    Lsposed
    Smaiko

Still getting a01, have not tried vpn yet though. Is this the only way now?

  • Anyone have their Velocity points not show up on their linked accounts? My last two petrol purchases hasn't added up.

  • +2

I used iOS 17 iPhone with iAnyGo in Windows only (couldn't follow VPN/simulator instructions). Couldn't get it to work since late Feb (got A01 error). However, it worked today for no reason 😊 (without any A01 error). Got U98 locked in at 199.9.

  • +1

This 25c/Litre max discount sux the big balls. Local price is 219.9 and the lowest auswide at the moment is 179.9. Dammit

    • I’m at eastcoast, last time I used Perth lock, got my account banned the next day. Not a good idea to use cheapest in Aust

      • I've been locking in WA prices for months. I'm in Melbourne. Never been banned.

        • so just vpn? what do you use - ifakelocation?

          • @dcomo: Android devices.

          • @dcomo: 7-Eleven running on iOS. iFakeLocation running on Windows. NordVPN running on iOS.

        • I’m in Sydney and I tried Perth lock twice, and both times the account was banned a day later.

Both times I waited 4-6 days.

          • @spc12go: Try using a screenshot of the barcode instead of opening up the app. That seems to work for me. Been locking in WA and using in VIC for months since the great ban wave.

    • Yeah sucks when you're next closest 7-Eleven is 100km away.

  • Anyone else noticing the price at all 7Elevens in Sydney are the exact same? (And higher than the 25c limit that we are probably locking).

    O.o Seems sus.

  • +1

Any one got banned for claiming the interstate price lock as soon as the card is scanned at the checkout? I got two of my accounts blocked and no discount were applied, I guess this is the end!!

    • How did you perform the price lock?

Did you use the lock very soon after? Eg: lock in price in WA and fill up in another state within 30 minutes later.

Did you perform the price lock for both accounts on the same device one after another? They could be tracking the IP address.

      • I locked price on rooted phone for two separate accounts, different days, separate weeks via VPN and tried using them on different days to when the price was locked… I was however logged into iPhone app to scan the barcode at the checkout 🤷🏻‍♂️

        • That would be why… you used a different device for the same account

          • @dinglejerry: That is something new because it never was an issue for years

            • +1

@freebie1947: It has definitely been an issue, you'll see it if you go back a few years in the comments here. If using a 2nd device just sign into the account once and add the barcode to Apple wallet then scan that rather than logging in to the app again in the future.

              • @Agret: Dumb question, how do you go about doing the apple wallet thing?

            • @freebie1947: Not sure if you've been keeping tabs on things the last few months…they've definitely started cracking down on it

          • @dinglejerry: I don't believe redeeming the lock on a different device is the issue. I use one rooted Android device to lock in two accounts on separate days, no VPN.

I only use one of the fuel locks every fortnight on one of our two other Android devices. I also try to set the fake location first before launching the 7-11 app, and close the app after performing the price lock.

Could it be the VPN? I've read that some people can only perform the lock through a VPN. I imagine your IP from outside the country would standout on the 7-11 server log.

            • @thangcuoi: There are numerous people who have reported being banned after using their accounts on different devices, and 7/11 themselves started calling it out as grounds for breach of their app ts and cs. You may get away with it, but you may not.

    • Yep happened to me today. and now my phone getting A01 error cant even lock servo next to me.

  • For those using Geoport, has that helped with the A01 error?
