      • No idea.
They started kicking people out (i was kicked before being able to read into it).

Thats why i posted here to see if anyone knows any more info.

      • On what grounds?

        Air, the ground of helicopters

      • +3

They were charging money to lock the fuel price. They had started a business of it

  • I tried the Android Studio method by dontpanic but when I enter the second command listed in step 2C I get the following message:

    C:\rootAVD-master>rootAVD.bat %LOCALAPPDATA%\Android\Sdk\system-images\android-33\google_apis_playstore\x86_64\ramdisk.img
    file C:\Users\Admin not found

Anyone know how I can correct this?

  • +1

Using the Bluetooth device method sure saves a lot of head aches since it can use any version on any iOS firmware

    • What ?

      • It's true…

    • +1

      Please explain

      • -1

        Bluetooth /ˈbluːtuːθ/ noun
a standard for the short-range wireless interconnection of mobile phones, computers, and other electronic devices.

      • +2

In short you buy a bluetooth device that needs to be connected to iphone, then use their app on the phone to set location. Then you open the 7 -11 app and lock in.

        The pros and cons:
+No need to worry about updates since it only uses the stock app (has always worked since getting it with no issues, at least for the past 2 years since owning it)
        + No need to jailbreak
        +No need for PC

        • iOS only
        • need to pay for device which should evenetually pay itself after multiple lock ins.
        • can be a bit iffy to set up (but probably about the same difficulty as the other methods)
        • +2

And what exactly is this bluetooth device? Is it a bluetooth GPS from the likes of Garmin and such?

          • @Meg4: Mine is an old iphone 7

          • @Meg4: Don't want to sound like a shill, but its called iToolsBT 2.0

            • +1

              @centrelink: This one?.

              $70. Is that $US?

              • -1

@sween64: Probably but don’t get it thouhh th, you probably struggle to set it up properly like I did without the proper instructions.

  • anyone having problems mocking gps using GPS setter on android?

    • I find it crashes when it cant find the location, so I add state and country which finds it

      • is it actually shifting your location to the set mock location?

        • Yes, it fakes your location to where you search.

          • @leeroys_dad: Mine keeps setting itself to Midvale WA, even though I've set it to Sydney, NSW

  • damn after a year almost of locking got G09…on to another account

Do people get their phones blocked?

    • +2

They appear to track device ID and block devices as well as banning accounts.

    • Got my old phone blocked - now I just use screenshots from my android emulator, haven't been banned for a long time now.

      • Can't you just create a new account on the same phone? Also, you can just scan the bar code and store it in Google wallet

        • I believe they block by device ID, which may prevent you from doing this. Scanning the barcode sounds good, might do that.

Forgot to share this method here. Anyone on iOS 17 can use this:
    https://www.ianygo.com/
    https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonGoSpoofing/comments/14ud9de/…

    • ianygo does not work for me on Mac. Installs a heap of crap on my Mac (in addition to the app), finally runs, then sits at "start to modify" but ultimately does nothing.

      Beware.

      • it worked for me but i just cant find a trick to reset the trial on mac.

    • I can confirm this method does work with ios 17, but the app itself seems a little dodgy lol. But its probably the same as the other apps we use.

    • It works but not free

      • +4

Second link my friend - that makes it free.

        • WOW!

        • I dont get how that works. Install program and then just run bat file in background till im done?

        • How to run the batch file on Mac?

    • thanks heaps!

    • +2

      You work for 7-eleven?

      • -6

        yes

        • If you are following the guide and using the Pixel 4 + Tiramasu combo, you can use the commands below (if not, please refer to PART 2D).

          • -5

@Ten: cd [location of rootAVD-master directory] … what is need to type here in this command?

            • @smitpatel: It's the file path of the rootAVD-master directory (i.e. C:\rootAVD-master). I'm a Mac user, but I think you should be able to just type CD, then a space, then drag and drop the rootAVD folder onto the CMD window to get the directory location path.

          • +1

@Ten: Assuming he got that far, yes using the Pixel 4 commands on a Pixel 3a install won't work.

The guide was written with novice users in mind and does it's best to explain everything step by step, so please everyone, make sure you read and follow the instructions EXACTLY before you come and ask questions. I'm happy to help if there's an issue with the guide or if you can't fully understand the instructions, but if you go off script then you're on your own.

            • @dontpanic: For whatever reason, my installation of root-AVD automatically added %LOCALAPPDATA%\android\sdk to the expected file path, so I had to remove that part of the command for it to work, otherwise it gave me "file not found"

              • @Kramo: Yeah, I think something has changed recently. Others have reported it too. I'm not a Windows user, so I need a bit of time to work out what's changed and update the guide.

          • -1

@Ten: You know he works for 7/11, you asked him, yet you're still helping? Why?

  • -4

hi @dontpanic is there any video available for step 2c or 2d with android studio i am stuck in it since last few hours.

    • Not from me, no. But you might find some rootAVD guides on YouTube to help you figure out where you're going wrong.

  • -5

@dontpanic i have done everything but now i stuck at last step. LSPosed is not opening from second time. Can anyone please help me with this.

    • I need more detailed details to be able to help.

      • -4

Hi i try to login in my7 elecen app through android studio method. But can't login. Login page is not opening. Can you please help me with this.

      • Stop helping this guy, he is clearly looking for ways to do this so they can block it. God damn!!

        • +1

If they're a dev trying to work out ways to block it, they wouldn't be asking such simple questions. Everything I've done with the guide is publicly accessible knowledge anyway. If there's a way to block it, they'll find it with or without my help.

        • -4

LOL as if someone from 7-11 wanting to do that would tag themselves as associated. Christ mate, do better

  • @dontpanic

Thank you for the write up. Took me a hour but got it working!

Been trying a variety of different options to no avail and this one worked a charm :)

Can I put forward a donation to you for your hard work?

    • +1

Ozbargain has aggressively removed any donation links (even for the ones I posted for Master131)

You will probably have to reach out to @dontpanic directly to arrange this

I don't think we're allowed to even comment and mention our own anymore, so if you don't expect a public response from dontpanic, you'll know why..

      • +4

Ahhh I see. Thanks for the heads up.

I will get in touch to discuss ummmm OPEC prices and meaning of life in his DMs

        • Ozbargain has aggressively removed any donation links (even for the ones I posted for Master131)

Just in case anyone is questioning the legitimacy, I got a notification sometime this year my comment from last year was removed retrospectively (not that I care)

Super easy on iOS, thanks guys! -
          chankaran on 11/02/2022 - 14:40

Then underneath my comment would have been removed - cwongtech on 11/02/2022 - 14:42 Comment unpublished. (Solicitations for Donations are not allowed)

It would definitely have been to try to support master131, I don't fly iOS choppers

Another one, which would have been to support vu's refinery.fyi page
That comment was not unpublished but modified with "Mod: Solicitations for donations are not permitted"

      • +6

All good, not expecting or soliciting any donations. Just giving back to the OzB community.

        • You are a good person

Has anyone tried locking a price in one state? And then using it in another a few days later to simulate travel?

The current cheapest price is apparently in Western Australia.

    • +3

I always seem to lock in interstate, often use just minutes after too, Perth to Melbourne within minutes.

      • I Ve been using the nrma app until now. So it only shows the local state prices. Only just found the other website.

    • Pretty much every week. I lock in a WA price on Tuesday and then redeem it 6 days later on the following Monday in Brisbane.

  • Hi @donotpanic,
Thanks for your detailed post, but I am stuck at step 2c. I am new to this forum, can you please help me out.

This is the error I receive when enter the command in my systems command prompt.
    https://imageupload.io/vDb3swxbuLsUbXv

    • Looks like it worked. Did you cold boot your virtual device afterwards? Magisk should be installed then.

      • Yea check the app drawer on the phone and it should be installed. Doesn't auto add the app to the home screen

  • I'm having an issue with the android root approach recently - update the location in GPS setter (only set to affect 7/11 app) but the location in the app doesn't update. Reboot doesn't seem to work to fix it. Anyone had this / managed to get around it?

    • Whats your android version?

      • rooted to android 13 on a pixel 4a

    • I've noticed you sometimes you have to toggle the location on and off in GPS setter (the play/stop button) to get it to reset.

      • Yes i did try that but still not working. Odd!

      • I'm wondering if something has gone awry with GPS setter, are you still using it? It was working like a charm last week but this week no matter what I do, can't get it to change the location in 7-11 app.

        • I've found it has changed lately(don't know if it auto updated) and I struggle but am able to get it to change location and set it.
Stop the current Iocation lock, paste in coordinates from refinery.fyi and hit the search magnifying glass on the virtual keyboard, wait for it to go to that location then press start seems to be working for me.

        • Double check you have 7-Eleven module enabled in LSPosed app

          • @freelife: That's already the case yes. Not sure what's going wrong!

            • @dinglejerry: I used gps setter before too. But suddenly doesn’t work anymore (nothing updated)

But now i use hidemocklocation from lposed then use fake gps app from playstore. Works.

              • @tinx: Thanks for the info mate - I will try this

              • @tinx: Ok I installed Hide Mock Location on LSPosed and then downloaded a fake gps app, but it's still detecting the fake gps app (module is enabled at the system level) - any ideas? Otherwise i might just reinstall the operating system and re-root

                • +1

@dinglejerry: Not sure, but this is my setting

Hidemock v2.0.9, i only enable it for 7 11 apps
lsposed 1.9.1, make sure gps setter disabled.
and fake gps location app by lexa from playstore then set this as mock location app in developer setting.

And i’m not sure if this related but i use play integrity fix 8.7 module for magisk.

I did a reboot just now and fake gps works fine with my phone and 7 11 app.

                  • @tinx: Thanks for trying to help. What's play integrity fix? I'll give the rest a go.

                    • @dinglejerry: It’s just another safetynet fix. My wallet suddenly not working after hide mock location, turned out i forgot to disable it for google maps and play store lol

                  • @tinx: OK that all seems to work, thanks a bunch for the help!

Anyone found a free workaround to iFakelocation with iOS 17??

    • downgrade ios

      • Looking for a workaround WITH iOS 17….

        • -1

          Use a second phone.

@jv: Both phones are iOS 17

    • If you have a Mac you can try this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/14479484/redir

      • If you have a Mac

        Any Mac?

      • I like iAnyGo it's so simple to use. I figure if I pay for it it'll pay itself off eventually

        • I figure if I pay for it it'll pay itself off eventually

If you do it for free, it will pay for itself sooner…

          • @jv: Yeah but look at all these steps you need to follow each week/fortnight you want to lock a new price. You can't memorise those steps. You'll have to keep finding the post and meticulously copy paste the strings and convert gps coordinates. Sometimes it pays for convenience! With iAnyGo you're done in less than 30 seconds
