Seems to still work for me on IOS.

I haven’t been able to lock-in on my phone for a while, but did so on iPad and still works. 10/10 was able to charter a helicopter with ease, will use again.

    • +6

      The app update notes include
‘General updates to reduce fraudulent activity’

  • This email just in from 7-11…check out the sentence I’ve italicised..hmmmmmmmm….

    My 7-Eleven app scheduled maintenance

    Hi dwarves,

The My 7-Eleven app will be put into maintenance mode for an upgrade between:

    11pm, 25 October - 2am, 26 October AEDT

During this time you won't be able to use the My 7-Eleven app or its features. You will need to update to the latest app version via the app store once the scheduled maintenance is complete.

Everything will be just the way you left it when we are back online. Look forward to seeing you at 7-Eleven soon.

It's been a pleasure flying Chopper Airways with you all. Got a feeling this email means some Surface-to-Air Banning missiles are coming to down our fleet.

    • +2

Doubt if. We’ve been through updates before. iOS is pretty easy to fake location it seems.

      • -2

Updates yeah, but I personally can't recall a 24 hour outage with a forced update?

        • +1

How is it a 24 hour outage?

          11pm, 25 October - 2am, 26 October AEDT

          Or did i miss somethig?

          • @KBZ: Shadowfax, generally always a forced update.
            It's not 24hrs, you've misread

    • +2

      Copied from app store

      Version 2.18.0
      Whats new:
General updates to reduce fraudulent activity.
This version also includes other usability improvements.

  • Is it still working?

    • -8

      Is what still working?

    • +1

Yes just updated 2 accts/apps, 1 had existing lock, other had a fresh lock, locked in.

      • +1

Can confirm - have also just done a fresh lock after updating the app.

    • Yes. Android Studio is still working

    • Yep. Latest app from store. iOS 16.5.1. iFakeLocation v1.7

new version requires iOS 14, can't use my iPhone 6 anymore!

    • Dam.

    • +1

Yeah, unfortunately I am in the same boat. Needs iOS14. My iphone 5S no longer supported. Can't update app :(

      • Time to upgrade to an iphone 7 !!!

        • +1

I would need to pay $150 out of pocket to buy a new phone and ROI would take a few months and in light of this recent update - I might just give up

          • @TestIgnoreMe: could try android studio? my employer replaced my old work phone (iphone 7) with iphone 14 (ios 17), so i tried the android studio method and it works well.

            • +1

              @issachar: Android studio for iOs??

              • @alexshel:

                Android studio for iOs??

                Highly recommended…

          • -2

@TestIgnoreMe: I'm sure you can get one for around $50 on marketplace…

      • If you can jailbreak the phone (almost certain you can) you might be able to force the new 7-Eleven app on to the old iOS.

    • So for an older iPhone, would jailbreak or Android Studio be a better option now?

    • If you can jailbreak the phone (almost certain you can) you might be able to force the new 7-Eleven app on to the old iOS.

      • how is that possible? Do you have a link for the instructions? Thanks

        • Would also know if there is a link for this?

  • I have my daughters iphone 12mini that i can use. Just need to work out how to get developer mode as it's not available on the device.

Error A02 on rooted Android now, any idea how to fix this?

    • +4

try relogging had the same issue when i updated
if that doesn't work click on the comments tab on the forum post and ctrl + f "A02"

      • Yep the search had the answer. For some reason phone had reset default browser when upgrading app.

I dont use that and had denied it internet access. Fixed that up and issue gone.

      • +1

        Awesome thanks!
Had the Ao2 error on my old Samsung S5 after the update whenever I tried locking in but just logged out and then back in and was able to lock again without the error!

I doubt that would work. You’re better off jailbreaking and trying to force the new app on to the old iOS.

      • can we do that on ios ?

    Anyone got the APK?

  • I just did a normal on my s23. Got a02 error. I think something wrong with the app?

    • Worked well for me. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • Getting E03 error when trying to lock in the price.

  • Yesterday, I opened the app and I was forced to update.
Once updated, I opened the app and got a new permission prompt for my phone. This was strange because usually these permissions are prompted on the first launch. Meaning the updated app updated its permission privileges. I accepted because the permission was about location and then boom error.
It's the first time I had an error.

It mentions authenticating our location which is what made me think that they now make further verifications on the phone. Any thoughts?

    https://i.imgur.com/DmYlxTf.png

Did they update the app to check if the phone is rooted or something?

Now getting error A02 when trying to lock in price.

    • +1

Log out and log back in for A02 error.

      • Confirmed, works

  • Ah my iphone x on ios 14.3 can't open the new 7-11 app anymore :( Any suggestions? Jailbroken with unc0ver. Shadow doesnt seem to bypass for me

    • My iphone x on ios 14.4 can download the updated 7-11 app and open it fine. Maybe it is flagging your jailbreak?

  • hey everyone!

I have 3uTools working nicely, but need to have my computer around to do it, so I am trying to find a solution to do it in my phone directly.

    I have a non-JB'd iphone with iOS 17.0.3.

I tried locsim but stuck on "run script over SSH could not connect to the SSh server".
I see @rzrz got it working on iOS 15.3, so not sure if this is a iOS version related problem. I also tried in an older phone with 15.7.8 and I am getting the same error. Maybe I need to change host/user/pwd?

    Thanks for any help.

    • 3utools doesnt work for ios17, does it ?

      • -2

        Have you tried?

        • +1

yes I did, it says not supported for ios 17 when trying for location change. Unsure if its just at my end though

    • Ssh server comes from jailbreak

Here's how to simulate location on iOS17 using pymobiledevice3. You need a Mac and will need to use the terminal. There are different ways to install everything you need but if you follow the terminal commands it should work. Follow the links for more info on what you're installing.

    Terminal commands look like this.

    Initial setup - Installing pymobiledevice3

1 Install Homebrew, a package manager for MacOS. Note the url in the command isn't appearing properly - OzBargain is automatically converting it to a link. - /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/HEAD/inst…)"
    2 Install Python3, a programming language pymobiledevice3 is written in - brew install python3
3 Check that the previous step also installed pip, a package manager for Python - python3 -m pip --version
    4 Install pymobiledevice3 - python3 -m pip install -U pymobiledevice3

    Usage - Simulating location

    1. Get the x and y coordinates of the location you want to fly to.
1.1 Open Google Maps and find the suburb.
1.2 Note down the x and y coordinates from the url. Example with coordinates in bold:
      https://www.google.com/maps/place/Kingswood+NSW+2747/@-33.761454,150.7175418,15z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x6b128f7df8901f7b:0x5017d681632bcb0!8m2!3d-33.7587814!4d150.7207438!16zL20vMDdoXzM4?entry=ttu
      x - -33.761454
      y - 150.7175418
    2. Connect your phone to your laptop.
    3. Open a terminal window.
    4. Open a connection between your laptop and phone - sudo python3 -m pymobiledevice3 remote start-quic-tunnel
    5. Note down the connection details starting with —rsd, you will need to use these later. Example: —rsd fd7b:e5b:6f53::1 64337
    6. Call the helicopter.
6.1 Open a separate terminal window.
      6.2 Run the following command using the connection details and x and y coordinates - python3 pymobiledevice3 developer dvt simulate-location set --rsd fd7b:e5b:6f53::1 64337 -- -33.761454 150.7175418
6.3 Open Google Maps on your phone and confirm your location is updated.
6.4 In the terminal window hit return when done to fly back home.
6.5 Open Google Maps on your phone and confirm your location is back to normal.

Prior to step 6.2 you may need to run python3 -m pymobiledevice3 mounter auto-mount. It's in the instructions for pymobiledevice3 but I didn't need to run it.

    Happy flying.

    • +3

      Great work mate! much appreciated!
Just a note for anyone had issue with step 6.2, I think there is a small typo in step 6.2, I had to add -m flag in the command.

      • +1

Thanks, I can't edit but hopefully the mods can fix it up.

    • following all the steps but stuck at Step 4 Install pymobiledevice3

      • Do you have an M1/M2 Mac? You might need to try arch -arm64 python3 -m pip install -U pymobiledevice3. I have an intel Mac so can't verify.

Can you run the following and post the results?
        1. python3 --version
        2. which python3
        3. python3 -m pip --version

        • Thanks. I am using intel mac too. Sorry my linux knowledge = 0

          1. Python 3.11.4
          2. /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.11/bin/python3
          3. pip 23.3.1 from /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.11/lib/python3.11/site-packages/pip (python 3.11)

          MacOS 12.7

          • +1

@am03fj: My knowledge is 0.5 but you can try this if you're on an intel Mac?
            ARCHFLAGS="-arch x86_64" python3 -m pip install -U pymobiledevice3

            • @samo: You are a genius! Thanks. It works.

        • @samo I'm stuck at the same step and have a M2 Mac. Results are:
          1. Python 3.12.0
          2. /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.12/bin/python3
          3. pip 23.3.1

If you could please help I'd appreciate it!

          • @kittymtd: Can you try:
            ARCHFLAGS="-arch arm64" python3 -m pip install -U pymobiledevice3

If it doesn't work post up the errors you are seeing and I'll have a look.

    • Getting the error "failed to start service".

Also when attempting to mount, I get the error "DeveloperDiskImage could not be saved to Xcode default path".

Using an M chip mac with an iphone running ios17.

      • I got this error too (Intel Mac, iPhone on iOS 17.1 with Developer Mode on) and looked everywhere for answers. I was able to resolve this by following the folder path (make sure to show hidden files). I made a folder called Xcode_iOS_DDI_Personalized in the hidden .pymobiledevice3 folder. I also downloaded and installed Xcode just in case but I'm pretty sure it was creating the folder that resolved things.

        • +1

Edit: All good found it through terminal as I was working the app, your trick worked great! Thanks!!

    • +1

      Thank you!
It worked on my MBP M2 and iOS 17.1

      the only thing that I had to modify was step 6.2 (missing -m): python3 -m pymobiledevice3 developer dvt simulate-location set —rsd fd7b:e5b:6f53::1 64337 — -33.761454 150.7175418

Without the -m I was getting pymobiledevice3': [Errno 2] No such file or directory

Additionally, I've enabled the Developer mode on my iPhone (Settings -> Privacy & Security (scroll to the bottom) -> Developer Mode + python3 -m pymobiledevice3 mounter auto-mount before executing 6.2

    • I couldn't fly back home by hitting return in the terminal window at step 6.4. Any advice? Thanks.

      • This command should reset it.
pymobiledevice3 developer dvt simulate-location clear --rsd HOST PORT

Apparently it might take some time for your phone to work out where it is again so you can try setting a location close to you first.

    • +3

Great instructions but for some reason i'm stuck on "pymobiledevice3 remote start-quic-tunnel" as my install doesnt have that method/option

      python3 - 3.12.0
      /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.12/bin/python3
      pip 23.3.1

      If i do a "sudo python3 -m pymobiledevice3 remote -h"
I only have this list of commands :/
      - browse : browse devices using bonjour
      - rsd-info : show info extracted from RSD peer
      - service : start an ipython shell for interacting with given service
      - start-tunnel
      - tunneld

      any ideas?

      ***** Update
for anyone else, seems the latest version has removed quick-tunnel so you need to downgrade via the command
      python3 -m pip install pymobiledevice3==2.30.0

      • instead of downgrading, use "sudo python3 -m pymobiledevice3 remote start-tunnel"

    • +1

After multiple attempts, I was able to make it work by following the steps given by OP.

I ensured that 2 terminal windows are always open:
1 for setting the remote start-tunnel (in the new version we have to use start-tunnel) command to create a connection between laptop and phone and another terminal to run the main command as per step 6.2
Please note that the —rsd changes everytime you connect & disconnect your phone to laptop. Also do ensure you manually type the double dash (- -) for the rsd and also manually type the co-ordinates since it sometimes may not work

      Thanks OP!! :)

  • FYI None of my accounts worked after the update.
    Couldnt even reset.
Had to create a new account.

  • I got the dreaded forced update on Android Studio :(

What have people been doing to get around it!

Using android studio this morning after the 7/11 fuel upgrade
After hitting 'find my best local price', a window pop up saying 'No Local Price Available'
Tried rebooting, reinstalling he apk, and restarting the GPS Setter, none of these works

    • +1

I got this at first too, but was able to set the location within the Android Studio settings.
So I had both the GPS setter and Android Studio location set to the same location and it worked for me.

HELP!! I have been using iPhone5s and now can't do the trick anymore with 3utools.

I have an iPhone 15PM and i updated software on computer, and getting "failed to modify virtual location error code -10"

    iPhone on iOS17.02

    • +2

iPhone 5S can’t be updated past iOS 12.5.7. The new 7-Eleven app forces iOS 14+

      iFL doesn’t support iOS 17

iPhone 5S on 12.5.7 can be jailbroken using checkra1n. You might then be able to keep an old version of the 7-Eleven app on the phone using AppStore++ You may also be able to trick the 7-Eleven servers in to think you have a newer version of the 7-Eleven app using 3DAppVersionSpoofer

      /r/jailbreak is a great resource

My full stop key isn’t working…
