      • I copied the link of the promo into the chat so they could read it etc, maybe give that a try.

        • Yup. Already did.

        • when was your purchase done? Mine was done on 27 Nov, wondering if they will "entertain" me if i ask them today, or should i wait till tomorrow which is the 7th business day

          • @roguej: Finally nagged them enough to apply it instantly.

I actually made 2x eligible purchases. $50 physical gift card on the 26th (but shows as 27th on my order). And another order (not gift card) on the 29th.

          • @roguej: Mine was the 26th if it helps.

            • +1

@Craigslists: you guys are lucky to get it applied instantly.. I just contacted them and the one i talked to insisted that I wait for 60 days and if I still don't get it, to contact them again. face palm.
Mental note to myself to not take part in this type of promotion ever again. the hassle of following up is not worth the $10!

              • @roguej: Yeah, I got told the same. And I said I didn't receive the email although I made a valid qualifying purchase, and what is the point in repeating myself in 30 / 60 days time …

Also, I just realised that both the $5 and this $10 (from the two promos) can only be spent on items sold by Amazon AU as a seller, not any other item by a 3rd party.

                • @kickling: but in the end they still gave u the credit right? better than nothing.. the guy wouldnt budge for me, said its their policy that i have to wait 60 days. I asked for a transcript of the chat for reference in 60 days.
this promo wasn't supposed to be an amazon credit, supposed to be a gift card which should be able to used for everything, not just amazon products.

                  • @roguej: Yeah, I got credit in the end as per the above users.

I'd rather have credit (spent today anyway) than nothing.

I assume it will just be more annoying in 60 days time, so I'm happy with credit instead of GC

  • +1

26/11 ordered $75 physical gift card
30/11 received email I am eligible for $10 GC from this deal
06/12 received email I am entitle to $5 GC from this deal

    • Damn, I got nothing. Ordered same day, will be delivered on 10/12. When did you receive yours?

      • what? you ordered a GC on 26/11 and delivery is not till 10/12? That's not right.

      • +1

My physical gift card arrived on 29/11

  • -1

i just spoke to amazon, lady said i have to wait 30 to 60 days as per the timeline of the offer. they dont want to issue me a gift card manually then get issued another one later down the track. odd id have to wait up to 60 days for this.

  • I received the email for the $5 of $75 purchase, but still nothing for the $10 for $49 purchase, I placed the order on 26th.

    • Same :(

      • Same :(, end of 7 business days is today, looking more likely that will have to be satisfied with the free Santa container.

  • Contacted amazon and they said the reason i havent got the email is because i was not part of the first 26K people. So dodgy!

    • What a fraud, if the banner was up at the time of purchase, then that should mean offer is still on. With no transparancy on when 26k is reached, it means they can just say that to everyone.

      • +1

Agree. I noticed the banner was taken off (promo was fully redeemed) late 28 or early 29 Nov within the promotion period. I also told them they they should honor the promotion if the promotion page was still active when order was placed.

        • Did they honour it?

          • @macr0hard: well, not sure….. the person said to according to their policy to contact them back in 60 days if i didn't receive the credit.

            • @roguej: Their policy seems to be make any excuse if you didn't receive the email

  • Did anyone purchase on the 27/28 Nov and already got the email that they got $10? Could you please share the screenshot?

    • Yeh that would be a good way to call them out, if your purchase was earlier than someone else who got the email

  • +1

Spoke to a guy in chat he insisted to fight the amazon battle and would not budge but then i called them again on the phone, spoke to someone else and got issued a $10 gift card, now have to wait to see whether it will land in account just to be sure or it's just gonna be another phantom credit

    • +1

Thanks for the tip, also argued hard with them and got $10 promo credits (can only be used on shipped by Amazon AU products)

  • Never received $10 nor the $5. Dodgy Amazon!

    • +1

I got both, and an extra $5 because I had a whinge to CS the day before the actual $5 came through and they gave me the $5. That's the ways she goes

  • +1

Every excuse from Amazon possible, not in the first 26k people (ordered early on the 26th), need to wait 7 business days from shipping, not eligible because I have an AMEX on my account, didn't get an email for the promotion so not eligible, my new CC is registered on another account so not eligible, internal team said I am not eligible (no reason they could list).
Some of the reps even combined the issues, once I proved them wrong on one like quoting the T&C they move onto the next excuse

    • Same experience here, I had to threaten to cancel my account. That got them to listen.

      • I tried saying what is the point in being a prime member and will cancel it but my reps didn't care haha

        • +1

LOL yeah, I've tried that before too and they said "you've used a lot of your benefits ha ha go ahead." They're not wrong :-P

        • I tried to make it sound more like I'll never use Amazon again lol, and seems like that was enough. Got to make it sound convincing

From their side $10 is nothing to retain a good customer

          • +1

@silenthillrocks: I was offered $5 courtesy voucher, no matter what I said they wouldn't go above and kept saying it was above their ability to do so

            • +1

@knobbs: I guess $5 is better than $0 at least but yeh they will always say they can't do it + 100 other excuses to try make you give in. Treat it like a game lol, to defeat the Amazon CSR (politely of course)

    • I just tried again and the rep didn't even talk to me, just posted a standard "$10 promo credit has been applied". Didn't even say let me look into it or anything haha. Instant $10 credit now.
Maybe Amazon reps have been told they dun f***** up and to give the credit

I'm not getting far with Amazon either. Placed order for $50 physical gift card on 26 November at 7.30am using 28 Degrees card, no confirmation email received to date for eligibility for the offer. Contacted Amazon on 1 December as I hadn't received the email then, and so many people had commented here that they'd received theirs (almost all of whom ordered from 27 November onwards). They confirmed my order was eligible, and that I should receive the gift card by 8 December. Still nothing by today, so contacted Live Chat again, agent looked into it, then came back and said he was forwarding it to his lead and asked me to send screenshots through, which I did. The chat was suddenly disconnected, then another agent came on, and kept directing me back to the Ts & Cs regarding timeframes etc. Advised I was concerned as I had not received the confirmation email, they eventually said to contact them again on 10 December if the confirmation email hasn't arrived by then, and they'll raise a ticket to look into why I didn't get it (they did confirm again that my order was eligible).

    • +2

interesting.. one CS i talked to couldn't confirm if my order was eligible. One said that the email is generated by the system automatically, so they can't tell whether i am eligible or not.

    • +1

And finally an outcome. Still hadn't received the confirmation email, so contacted Amazon again (Live Chat) as they'd told me to do on 8 December. Explained the situation yet again to another agent, who suddenly disappeared, another agent took over, asked me to wait for a couple of minutes whilst they looked into it, then came back and offered me a $10 refund on the gift card, which has now been applied to my account. Shouldn't have been this hard … but at least now it's sorted. Best of luck to those who are still arguing with Amazon.

    • +1

I feel like I got lucky and got through to the easiest rep ever. Such differences in experiences. Hope it works out for everyone.
      Chat1 Chat2

      • Looks like they got enough complaints and threats and finally making it easier

      • Same for me. Just told them I've not received the confirmation yet and they issued me a $15 credit as way of apology. All done within a minute.

  • +1

hey guys, for anyone placed the order on 26th but didn't receive confirmation email.

I just spend an hour with a very "paitient" customer service rep. After a few random excuse, he finally found the confirmation email was actually sent but didn't get sent out to our email box somehow.

If you go to Amazon, go "your account", then go to "Message centre" under "Email alerts, messages, and ads", hopefully you will find something with title "You placed an order eligible for a MasterCard offer"

    Good Luck

    • +1

Nothing in my message centre about it :S I did order on the 26th too

    • Yep, that's only the acknowledgement of eligibility.
Got mine "You placed an order eligible for a MasterCard offer 12/01 18:34:37" note the US date format.
Haven't received the $10 gc yet

    • Nothing in my Message Centre either (I ordered on 26 Nov).

  • Placed order on 26th, didn't get a gift card notification, complained in live chat, got a $10 promotional credit. That'll do.

  • Amazon very dodgy this time. I placed order on 26th and no confirmation email so I contacted on 7th dec and rep said I should receive email in 24-48 hours. No email so contacted again today, and was told I placed a subscribe and save order so I’m not eligible. Their terms and conditions says I have to “add to cart” but subscribe and save is “sign up” so not eligible. I questioned why don’t just say it specifically “subscribe and save is not eligible”, but not good answer. What a waste of time? If they clearly specify subscribe and save is not eligible, I would just place another eligible order. Now they are just saying their terms and conditions covered them because items need to be added to cart. This is quite funny.

  • So from posts in this thread, it seems to be only those who ordered on 26 November have had issues with not receiving the confirmation email? I haven't noticed anyone else comment about this happening with a different order date, unless I've missed it. As mentioned in one of my previous posts, whilst my order details in My Account etc show correctly as 26 November (the day the promotion started), when I went into the Contact Us section and had to select the relevant order, the order date showed there as 25 November which I assume would have corresponded with US time (placed order at 7.30am on 26 November) so I wonder if that has caused an issue somewhere with the emails not being sent. I can't think of any other reason why so many people who ordered on the first day of the promotion were affected, as we've all made eligible purchases (except for @Roujuzi's S & S order, according to Amazon).

    • We ordered from Amazon AU so regardless the US time they should honor the credit IMO.

      • Agreed - there should not have been the issues people have had with trying to get their $10 bonus.

  • +1

I bought a physical gift card on Nov 26. After reading comments here I got on to live chat a couple of days later, after a long wait she said I qualified and would receive the email by Dec 10. I didn't. Last night I got onto live chat again-no waiting for a change, he 'looked into it' and applied a $10 voucher for use on my next purchase. I never got any confirmation but I just used it on 2 pantry items that wouldn't have got cashback anyhow. $10 wasn't enough for the hassle, but I wasn't going to just let it go.

  • +1

I bought a physical GC on 28 November, so was pretty late. To be honest I thought I'd be outside the first 26,000 orders. Nevertheless, after hearing zilch from Amazon, I chatted to Amazon and they said I will be getting the $10 gift card after 30 days. So…I'll be waiting…

  • +2

Contacted customer support. I ordered a gift card on the 26th. They would not budge and said I am ineligible as I have not received an email.

    • +1

That's a pretty crappy outcome. It definitely seems to depend on who you get at customer support (whether by phone or live chat). Some Prime members have been given the credit instantly, some (like me) had to make multiple contacts but finally ended up getting the $10, and others like you have been denied it outright. Not a great experience.

  • Chatted and didn't go anywhere to get Amazon to apply the $10. Escalated the call and the rep hang up. Escalated again and this time he was more helpful and applied the $10 to my account. Basically you have to work for it.

  • +1

Custom reminder for 29th Jan. Set. 🤞

  • Contacted a customer rep - told me she's raised the issue and that I should hear back within the next 48 hours or so. Whole thing has been a bit of a shemozzle though…

  • +1

Contacted support yesterday, guy said that I already have it applied but I won't see it on vouchers and it will be auto applied next time I order something sold and shipped by Amazon. After I confirmed the lot and heard multiple confirmations that voucher should be applied to that lot and it in fact did not, he suddenly changed his story and said that it was already applied to my purchase on 26th, before I received email that I will get it within 30 days. There was $10 off applied to order but it was different promo. I guess I'll just wait until 30 days lapses and try get it again.

    • Mate don't wait 30days.
Rep today tried to get its way by stating it can take 60days to get the credit. I had to copy paste each lines of the T&C's and he gave up and credited the $10.

      • Just tried, they confirmed I'm eligible but said wait 30 days and then contact them if I still don't have it by then.

  • +1

Contacted Amazon and explained the situation, the guy immediately applied the credit to my account for my next order.

  • Looks like I'll have to contact Amazon to get $10.

  • I received the confirmation email that I'd get it, but it hasn't been credited to me still.

  • Anyone received their $10 gift card from this promo yet?

  • +2

$10 gift card came through finally!

  • Also got the $10 credit

  • Same, saw I got the $10 applied to gift card total

  • Got it too

  • Got mine too.

  • Got it too. That makes a total of $20 because of the $10 that was added after talking with someone via chat after not getting a confirmation email.

    • -1

Yep same, now got $20 lol

      • This promotion was a mess. Last time there was a promotion similar to this, you received a confirmation email within a week and another email some weeks later letting you know that the gift card has been applied.

  • +2

    Got mine today

    • me too

      • Did you receive an email informing that the gift card has been credited or did you only notice after checking your account?

        • I checked because of the comments in this post, but also got an email at 18:35 yesterday.

        • I received an email.
Subject is "Your Gift Card is here"
Description is "We’re delighted to let you know that you made a qualifying purchase during the Mastercard® x Amazon.com.au promotion (26-29 November 2021) and an Amazon.com.au Gift Card worth $10 has been applied to your Amazon account."

  • +1

    Haven't received mine :(

    • Likewise.

      • Have either of you received yours yet?

  • +4

For those who haven't received, contact their chat support. They are totally useless and liars:

Support staff: sorry I assume you weren't first 26000.
Me: can you check rather than assume?
Support staff: yes I checked, you are not first 26000, I will give you $10 credit as goodwill gesture.
    Me: thanks

    $10 credit applied.
Next day email stating my gift card has been applied and confirming I'm in first 26000.

Their lies gave me an extra $10 so I'll take it.

Obviously spent it in Eneloops immediately

  • +1

Got mine. Amazon proving far more reliable than eBay on these things

27 December 2021 Gift certificate claim (claim code xxxx-xxxxxx-3QCL) $10.00

    • eBay is absolute rubbish. I’m always having to have things escalated to a manager for a resolution, sometimes they can’t even do shit

  • 27/12/21 email.

We’re delighted to let you know that you made a qualifying purchase during
    the Mastercard® x Amazon.com.au promotion (26-29 November 2021)
and an Amazon.com.au Gift Card worth $10 has been applied to your Amazon account.

  • Still have not received, and no email.

    • Same

  • So after inquiring 3 times and getting 4 different answers yesterday's chat ended up with support person asking wait for another day and if I won't get it by today he'll issue it manually. Today same person issued $10 gift certificate.

Too much work to get a tenner.

  • Never received an email with my voucher even though I made a purchase the morning of this promo.

Just contacted Amazon via chat but the person I spoke to couldn't do anything about it.

Very frustrating when these promos are a lottery
