      • How to contact e-commerce team on weekend? They said they only opened on Weekdays?

    • It must be at the warehouse waiting to be picked up. See my comments few posts above.

      • I have the tracking number provided by StarTrack with a link to the website to track. So it wouldn't still be waiting to be picked up would it?

        • i reckon it would be, that's why no status update on the star track website when trying to track

          • @rensman: I looked again and it says it's last scan depot was Melbourne so it must be on its way 👍

            • @Bazzaaa: ripper! seems like they are moving them again

  • +1

Ordered on 17th and till this morning it wasn't showing anything on StarTrack site but now its showing delivery on 28th and status is

    Being packed by sender

I think StarTrack has started picking up the devices.

    • good news if true, will check mine tmrw and update if i remember

    • +1

Just checked mine, same situation and now also saying delivery on 28th. Thanks for updating.

      • Did you get the tracking number from SMS? or from the Agent?

        • Me? From agent

          • @randomrandom: When I called the agent, they told me they can only see the tracking code AFTER it got picked up. They will only send by SMS. Anyway, my hope to have it shipped by tomorrow is low (ordered on 19thSeptember).

            • @bobokingdom: lol, I am sure they are not doing it right, I always call them after getting an order confirmation email (with tax invoice) and they provide me a tracking code which I used to check delivery status.

    • Sounds like chaos at the warehouse - 11 days delivery from order date. I also ordered on 17th and it was delivered on 21st and I am in Perth!

    • Same here, updated at 4.06 as "Being packed by sender". Sounds like it might finally be picked up on Monday for hopefully a Tuesday delivery

    • Just checked mine on the Startrack website, finally also showing as "being packed by sender" (I've been checking all week and there had been nothing), estimated delivery on 28th. Ordered on 19th. Thanks for sharing!

  • also FYI:
Code still available over chat - just got one then (see above recent comments for how to)
Secondly they are out of stock all colours S21 5g , 128 GB, hopefully they'll get more soon as on strict budget for a mate

    • Definitely worth the extra $100 for 256gb. There is no sd card slot so higher storage for future proofing is no brainer.

      • i think it's $200 extra , is that right?

  • Does anyone have the tracking number format? I was given one with 10 numbers. Should there be a letter at the front ? Does not work for me. Thanks in advance.

    • MQVZ07600XXX

      • No idea what Samsung support provided. Was just a 10 digit number, starting with 7074XXXXXX.

        • Have same sort of code, 10 digits that only started showing up yesterday evening on StarTrack

          • @Bafranz: So if you plug into StarTrack does it work?

            • @Paul-1973: Yup, an alternative tracking is supplied on the StarTrack webpage after you plug it in

  • Best cases for ultra? Preferably on the slim side?

    • +5

      Anything by Spigen.

    • +2

      Spigen Thin Fit.

      • +1

        Ordered this today!

    • I got the Spigen Rugged Armor. Have the same on my S9+ at the moment. It's been on my phone for 3 years with no issues.

  • Any links to a decent case for s21plus please?

Taking advice from someone here - I emailed the office of the CEO to advise the team appears to have dumped my two phones in a batch forgotten in the warehouse

Within 3 hours of this email my order updates on the star track website to say it’s on its way and should be with me by Wednesday

How awkward that we need to reach out to the office of the CEO to get things moving

As a side note, while I wait for the s21 ultra - I picked up the iPhone 13 today in Apple store as they have a 14 days no questions asked return policy and I figured I would try the new iPhone while I wait for the Samsung - and I’m quite impressed, more so than I thought I would be.

Just wish it wasn’t such a massive price difference

    • +6

I'm happy to be patient. Managing a business in the Co-vid world is challenging, so many businesses are short staffed with people having to isolate or on wrong sides of borders or home with kids .

      • Everyone would be happy to wait if things are managed properly and delays are genuinely due to COVID etc. For example, people who ordered on 16th Sep are still waiting for their orders whereas those who ordered 2-3 days later received their orders in 1-2 days. This shows its more of mismanagement at Samsung's end rather than delays due to COVID etc.

        • -2

Every business with staff is affected by Co-Vid. Do you not get that it's the staff that administer these things?

          • @tonka: Yes, I do understand. But if the same staff ships orders placed 2-3 days later first and old orders remain pending for over a week, means they are not doing their job correctly. COVID effect can result is delays, but doesn’t mean you don’t do your work properly. If we all know that our orders are delayed due to COVID, we will accept that. But if orders are not shipped in chronological order, then its mismanagement not delay.

            • @OZBsince2018: Of course it does. When there are staff availability problems, the staff available may be less efficient as doing jobs they are not trained for with no handover and working longer hours. Also your example is not in anyway meaningful unless we know the products shipped were exactly the same product. Co-vid for many people does mean they aren't doing their job properly (through no fault of their own). And really the very nature of this deal "trade-in" means no-one is in urgent need of the product.

    • I doubt it's the email to the CEO office which started things moving.

I sent my email at 4pm on Saturday and my tracking details said Shipping Information received by Australia Post on Saturday 4:06pm. They have to be really really keen to help to move at that speed.

But I agree that Apple's service is second-to-none. If you are prepared to pay 3x the price, that is ($459 S21 128GB for this deal vs $1,349 iPhone 13 128GB).

Anyone got a simple breakdown of the process? I got a mate interested and honestly I cbf reading through 19 pages to lay-out the process for him! 🤣🤣🤣

He has an S9, so I know it can be traded. I think he was getting confused when I said he needs to sign up to an email, talk to chat for a code.

I'm sure someone's posted the process, can anyone link the post? Much appreciated

    • +16
      1. Install the samaung tradeup app on ur mates's s9 and go through the steps.
2.final step in the app require credit card details (they take $1 as a test transaction by the looks)
3.Take a screenshot of the code you get in the app, this is unique to that phone.
4.If your dont want to go through the hassle of getting the chat discount ($100) plus newsletter signup discount ($50). -> he still get $500 off the currently listed rrp(some discount is already applied on site). This $500 discount is in addition to the trade in value get for the S9(may be under $50)
So based on this, S21 128gb discounted list price at present on thier site is $1049 -> will come down to around $549 (minus your tradein value) to buy.
      2. If your mate want to chat to an agent on their pop up web chat and ask for a $100 discount code, then follow the instructions provided in the previous messages here. Likewise for the $50 code for signingup to their eNews letter.
Note: previous comments suggest to enter $50 code first and then apply the $100 as this process make sure to stackup the discount.
      3. Return the phone or pay back the trade in value amount + an additional $60 admin charge(if you dont return the phone). Clarity on the Admin fee info is still being debated here by the looks and I am.still waiting to find out.
Process is reasonable in comparison, if you think the effort required to get additional $150 discount(skip the above step 5) is not worth for you and ur mate.
        Hope this makes sense?

        You are a gentleman.
This should be stickied at the top or added to the OP.
The original is too vague and confusing.

  • Has anyone chosen pickup? What was the wait time?

    • Can't pick up in Sydney, all stores are closed

    • I chose pick up from store in Mt Gravatt Queensland on 17th thinking I'd pick it up next day. Not the case. Samsung mail it to the store. Still waiting with no update since the confirmation email.

Ordered one for my father on the 18th and mailed it to his address. He's received his a couple of days ago no issues.

YMMV but click and collect from store seems pointless.

    • The pick up took a whole week for me. It's not a next day pick up as they do not keep the stock at their store. It is sent directly from the warehouse. If it's safe to do so, delivered would be much better.

  • Anyone else who got a S21 kinda wishing they had of got the plus model? Coming from a redmi note 8t, this thing is small! Nice though and sits in the pocket well, but I think I could have done with the extra realestate

    • I went with the small model intentionally. I like how it fits in the hand, any bigger, might as well pull out the tablet!

    • Yes, I currently have the s21 but I just purchased the s21+ to upgrade to a bigger size. I generally prefer larger screens and regretted the smaller model, however in saying that the s21 is very lightweight and the perfect size to fit in your pocket or hold in one hand

    • The price difference is not worth it. Especially with being so late in the annual cycle, better to save money and off-load this device if you like what S22 offers.

The S21 is similar in weight to my S10+ with a tiny bit smaller screen.

  • just got the $100 off the chat so they are working today guys

got my wife the pink s21 256gb for $499 :-)

they only offered $55 for the S9 so it may or may not go back

    • Hey mate was that price with the 50 code as well?

Weighing up to wait for S21 128gb to come back in stock or go for plus.

      • +1

Yes that is the price with $50 subscribe code

      • +1

        Yes mate with 100 + 50 code.
499 not include trade in discount

  • Any small corm chargers that people recommend to get the most out of the fast charging? Maybe one with 2 slots..?

  • Is there any way to sign-up to this offer if I don't have an eligible device to trade?

    • +1

      Doesn't look like it.
Maybe you can buy a broken/damaged eligible device for the trade in app?

    • +3

      use friend/family's phone

  • I'm debating whether it's worth getting the ultra over the s21 plus. With all the discounts considered, the S21 Ultra 256GB worked out to be $699 and S21+ 256GB would be $399. The price difference would be $300.. Thoughts anyone?

    • +2

Do you like taking photos? Camera is a step up

    • +1

Exactly what bafranz said. Camera is the major difference here

      Battery are almost the same

      Weight all most the same

Screen is 0.1 bigger in the ultra

Your paying extra for 100 zoom and 40mp selfie camera

My friend how did you get these prices? Did you manage a 200 code?

      • +3

Here is the breakdown of my discounts:

Listing price for Ultra 256gb: $1649
        -$500 discount
        -$200 CDS Loyalty voucher
        -$100 ODS Loyalty voucher
        -$100 EDS chat voucher
        -$50 Sign-up email voucher
        Final price: $699

        • is the ODS loyalty voucher for an older phone?

          • @david6509: Yes, for any models below the S20 I believe

        • +1

Wow I think you won this Samsung pageant best deal award!

The $200 cds and $100 ods voucher can be grabbed on chat? Or is there a Mason handshake or?

          Well done again .

          • +4

@agalea101: You'll have to chat to the agents to request for these codes (apart from the email one).
I believe CDS codes which are valued at $200 is for anything above S20 range and ODS codes which are valued at $100 is for anything below S20 and above S8. You'll need to provide front and back photos of the phone with IMEI displayed and they will only give you these codes provided that they have been physically damaged or out of warranty. It's an absolute effort and can take up alot of time talking to these agents, I've been trying to get these codes for the past week but if you're willing to go through all that effort, I'd say it's worth it if you want to save an extra $450 buying a new phone

            • +2

@krsu: Great effort and well deserved.

I have tried a few agents and have only walked away with a few $100 codes. Unsure if they are EDS or ODS as tbh I don't know what they stand for ><

I will do some searching on ebay for Cracked phones that have IMEI showing for that $200 code - once I do, Do I send that through to Samsung in an email?

Thanks again for the explanation :)

              • @agalea101: You'll need to chat to agents to request for that code, which will be given to you over chat once they have confirmed IMEI photos are sent via email

        • Hey, so you get one $100 voucher for a cracked phone photo to Samsung that is below Samsung s20 and you get the $200 for cracked Samsung s20/21 photos but how do you get the other $100 voucher that you mentioned? Thanks

          • +2

@NaviGun: The EDS $100 voucher I was able to get by asking for a loyalty voucher to buy the new s21 series and they were able to supply the code within 5 mins. If they ask if you want to buy today, say yes and they'll give it to you

            • @krsu: Oh okay, so for the EDS, do you have to send EMEI number and front/back etc or is this different? Thanks for the help.

              • +2

@NaviGun: They didn't ask for that. I believe they only ask that if you say you want an upgrade from your old phone

                • @krsu: Can you still "trade in" the phone you claimed to have broken screen in order to get a CDS?
                  Thanks!!

                  • +2

@moneytomyway: The codes you request for using photos of whatever phone you have provided and the phone you'll be "trading in" will not be linked, if that's what you're asking?

                    • @krsu: Sorry if I didnt make myself clear as I am a bit confused.
In order to get a CDS or ODS, I will need to provide photos of front and back of the phone as well as IMEI number. Given I have only one phone (Note 8with a broken back) my plan is get the $500 bonus without sending in. My concern is if my IMEI was given to Samsung for CDS or ODS, Samsung will block the possibility for me to trade in my Note 8.
                      Hope it make sense.

                      • +3

@moneytomyway: Where are you getting this assumption from? I don't know if that will happen, but I don't think they would do that. I have taken photos of the same phone and used it multiple times to request for the code and were not blocked in any way

                        • @krsu: Sure!! Great to know!! Thanks for your reply.
So I will need to obtain the code in 2 tries (since Note 8 is not eligible for a $200 CDS)

                          1) Ask the chat for a $100 ODS voucher for a Note 8, claim to get a S21 Ultra
                          2) Ask the chat for a $100 as I want to upgrade my old phone

Are both codes obtainable from the same channel? Or one from the pop up chat and the other from chatbot?

                          • +1

@moneytomyway: No problem, I'm happy to help!

You'll need to close and reopen a separate chat for another code as they only limit 1 code per person

                        • @krsu: Wait so you can use the same phone multiple times to get the codes. I assumed they were asking for the IMEI number to prevent this.

                          • @k1ng5e7en: It worked for me, I think they just want proof you have a phone tbh

            • @krsu: Hey so I tried getting an EDS voucher and all of the people said that you need to send through an EMEI number with photos etc, how I do get the EDS without doing that as I've been struggling, Thank you.

              • @NaviGun: They didn't ask for photos for EDS code. Depends on who you get I suppose

                • @krsu: Sorry to be a pain, but I am still unsure of something.
                  To break down the 3 vouchers;
$100 ODS - asked chat and was told to send them photos of my Note 8 and IMEI
$100 chat - managed to obtain after providing phone number and email

Did you get the $200 CDS the same way as ODS, but the model you claimed to upgrade from was S20 and above?

                  • +1

@moneytomyway: Correct, I got the CDS code the same way as ODS and claimed using an S21 phone, just mentioned I had water damages to the phone and they were able to provide code after confirming my IMEI photos

                    • +1

@krsu: I see, looks like I might do the same using my wife's S21 for another $200 off LOL

Thanks for all your responses, much appreciated!!

              • +2

@NaviGun: Apparently there's different "chats" that you can go to.

The one on the main page in the bottom-right corner with the green border around the icon seems to be the one that people are getting the EDS voucher on (you may need to disable your adblocker): https://www.samsung.com/au/

        • How did you get all these codes i only got the $100 chat voucher have a note 8

        • Out of curiosity, Can someone please enlighten us here on how to get the $200 CDS voucher and $100 ODS loyalty vouchers?
Also do these stack on top of the $100 chat and $50 news letter one for sure? Has anyone actually stacked these and purchased a new phone during this offer?

          • +1

@pgsn: scroll up a bit, @krsu explained the differences between them

          • +1

@pgsn: I have used all these codes together and can confirm that they do stack even if the agents state they don't

            • @krsu: krsu, did you use your same old s20 to get both CDS and ODS? or you used s20 to get CDS and S8(or older) to get the ODS?

              • @Tonyz123: I used an S21 to get the CDS code, which I claimed to have water damages on it and then a Note 10 for the ODS code

                • @krsu: I tried the same but was asked to provide a photo of the "moisture error"…..bugger

                  • @moneytomyway: You should try again and just mention the phone is quite slow and glitchy due to water damages. They asked me the same thing and I said no, then they just gave me the code anyway

                    • @krsu: Ok I might give it another try.
I told them the phone probably has water damage as it's showing "moisture error" from time to time when its connected to the charger. Given it's a time to time error I cannot provide the photo but two of the reps I spoke to insisted to have the photo.
Maybe third time is the charm XD

                      • +1

@moneytomyway: Don't mention that otherwise they will ask for physical proof. Try not to be too specific and and be vague about the damages! Goodluck though before they're all out of stock
