Been looking for 12TB or more hard drives for my NAS and I think this is a pretty good deal. It's the lowest I've seen it at.

Have a 5 bay server on the way (terramaster).
Whats a good target for 8/10 TB?
In 10TB, it's not currently on sale but the WD Elements is a good option. They have capacities of 8,10,12 and 14TB.
Old deal here for 10TB: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/580456The rule of thumb for externals you want to be under $25/TB, I aim for the $23 range.
The 12TB is currently on sale and falls within this range:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/5849178TB is another option but $/TB tends to be a little higher. IMO the 12TB is the sweet spot for drives right now if you can stretch to that capacity. The 10TB goes on sale the least often. 8TB appears a few times a year.
UPDATE: The 8TB is on sale too, a good price for it, although it's in the $26/TB range which is about as good as it gets.

Any deals on 14tb?
It is quite a premium over the shucking option when you're buying 4,6 or 8 of these things. I gave in and bought externals this time around. For my 6 bay I've saved $852 over buying a drive like this. Not everyone's cup of tea, but food for thought.
