50 Series Launch Day! Always an exciting time with a new generation, new tech inside, higher performance, kicked off by the RTX 5080. We have done our very best to bring you the best deal on launch day by working with AMD and Palit to get you a 5080 series PC for little more than the price of the GPU and CPU, especially with the Australian Dollar falling from 72 cents down to 62 cents! Please note if the AUD falls to the predicted levels a build like this at 55 cents would be hundreds of dollars more. Now I have been inundated with messages about can we supply some standalone 5080 because of the disappointment of many people missing out, so we have made some available to you on launch.

We have our hands on Australia's first Palit GameRock and GamingPro cards, and they look great and perform incredibly well. Palit as you may well know are one of the largest GPU manufacturers in the world and manufacture for many other brands as well as their own cards. The GameRock this time around is less "crystalline bling" and more "psychadelic swirl" in its design.

All cards come with support stands as they are chonkariffic, and all PCs are securely packaged internally. We can ship GPUs separately too to remove risk of transit damage altogether - tick checkbox at checkout.

King tier CPUs from both AMD and Intel has been the OzBargain community's preference with high-tier 40 series cards and we've continued it here, so we're pleased to present both Ryzen 7 9800X3D and Core i9-14900KF options.

Each 5080 build has two batches of GPUs for both cards. Once the GPUs that are on hand now have sold out, that line will disappear, leaving the longer lead time cards (expected end of Feb into early March) available for pre-order.

Our build queue is completely cleared after some longer than anticipated timeframes to complete our Boxing Day orders which were extremely high in number, but I anticipate quick shipping for these closer to the front end estimate mark of the business days we are listing on the website.

All TechFast PCs are:

  • Unmatched in terms of value, $ per frame, bang for buck - you name it, it does not get cheaper
  • Fully professionally built, stress tested
  • Provided by the most active and committed OzB PC builder for 6+ years - we are here to stay while many others have come and gone, leaving Ozbargainers in the lurch
  • Plug and play with all drivers installed, no matter which OS you select
  • Fully supported by a local team via email and here on Ozbargain
  • Fully insured for transit at no extra cost
  • Fully warranted with transit covered both ways in the event of warrantable faults

coupon is not working! im trying to check out and click update discount does not work. does nothing!

  • +6

Why in gods name would anyone buy Core i9-14900KF for more money vs a 9800X3D in a gaming machine…

    • +3

some people blindly go for a particular brand

    • +6

Could be using for things other than gaming.

      • Yeh…. I know but even then I dunno about paying More for it… Considering the issues it's had which I know they say they've 'fixed'… You won't know until way later if those problems rear their ugly head again….

      • Yup, I am running AMD on both my laptop and desktop but if things don't change I will be switching to Intel on my next build for 4:2:2 10 bit video support.

    • +2

Some people will never let go of "intel good amd bad"

    • +1

14900kf has 24 cores… you can do a lot other things with it for just $200 more.

    • -2

same boring old comment under every pc deal, just like 'why would you buy a apple over samsung'.

    • DeepSeek meme

  • Never heard of Palit - any comments?

    • +7

It's fine. Been around for a long time. Lot's of deals on here for their GPUs, just do a search on Palit

    • +1

      Very big in SEA

  • Part list in the description for the Intel build has the AMD processor listed

    • Fixed thank you

  • -1

not too bad but what happened to RRP 5080 is same as 4080s? $999 USD - why are we getting shafted

    • +1

the quoted USD RRP only applies to first party Nvidia Founder edition cards, US sales tax not included.

Founder cards can't be purchased in Oz.

      • There were other MSRP cards, and I would assume the basic Palit model is one such card, or at least very close.

@luketechfast while we can all understand relative cost of shipping (largely fixed), retail operation, and just general living are some of the highest in the world, the markup here seems to have stretched further than ever before.

Have NVIDIA ANZ and wholesalers in general offered any justification for these pricepoints?

I get that AIBs have been demanding bigger margins for doing decent work, but this feels more like a consequence of keeping ordering volumes extremely low at launch, along with entrenched wholesale partners clipping the ticket.

Thank you for posting a great value build though, new PC buyers are probably breathing a sigh of relief.

        • +7

No word on the "why" for the pricing. It is, unfortunately, what it is. And "it" is definitely not on our end, I can guarantee that.

    • +2

They charge whatever they want and people pay. So why would the be inclined to stop putting so much fat in there?

You'll hear other excuses like shipping costs, consumer protections, etc. but NVidia operates with a 75% gross margin. That's likely more from the enterprise than consumer market but without more information your guess is as good as mine.

And if NVidia gets away with it, the AIB surely want to as well

Apple is reasonable with USD+GST, so if you want to argue you're getting screwed, least you're getting equally as screwed as the Americans

    • That's already $1766 AUD with GST even at Forex rates. Given logistics costs and AIB partners having to mark things up to make any profit or even not lose money it's really not bad. Blame NVIDIA and the machine learning rush.

    • No criticism here for using a b650m mobo or the same pcpp price on 9800x3d?

      • your kidding - its $700 cheaper all up - LOL - just proves my point

        • Yes it is but your neg in the other comment critcised the 9080x3d for $928 which is also listed here as well as the b650 which is similarly located here. The other parts obviously vary but predominantly cheaper and lower end on pcpp in this build. But both are transparent

          • @maverickjohn: yeah they listed pcpp to justify the high cost overall - they didnt do that here - my comment was for the whole deal
there is nothing better in the other deal then here and the difference is $700

    • +1

The AUD is falling lower against the USD.
There’s also GST and the possibility of Nvidia subsidising US tariffs with increased prices in the rest of the world.

    • +1

      https://www.nvidia.com/en-au/geforce/graphics-cards/50-serie…
On Nvidia Australia site it's already 2,019 AUD for FE (even though they're not going to Aus), so this Palit one basically the cheapest possible right now

      • yep so Nvidia is screwing Aus as usual

  • +1

Paying more for a 14900k is insanity lmao

    • This has been resolved by using the Credit Card payment option under the PayPal radial. Defintiely a SecurePay issue on regular Credit Card method (for anyone reading)

  • Hey Luke, likely you'll be selling 5070/5070Ti on their own?

    • +2

Too early to say, no info yet.

      • Cheers, will keep an eye on your posts.

  • Hey Luke, any deals on 5090?

  • Would love an ITX build..

  • Also interested in a 5090 if you have any up for sale individually.

  • I'm getting a payment failed error when trying to checkout.

    Anyone else?

    • +1

Aware of the issue - tech team is on it, looks to be on SecurePay's end. Working for many but not all. We're workign through it.

    • +1

Please try again now with the Debit Or Credit Card button under the PayPal option - seems definitely a SecurePay thing.

      • Once paypal became available I went with that and purchased. Thanks!

  • just getting payment failed. how to fix this? tried 2 different card and 3 different browsers

    • Aware of the issue - tech team is on it, looks to be on SecurePay's end. Working for many but not all. We're workign through it.

    • Please try again now with the Debit Or Credit Card button under the PayPal option - seems definitely a SecurePay thing.

  • +2

Hey Luke! Can we get this shipped unassembled please? Half the fun for me is opening the box and building the pc :)

Also returning happy customer from a 3070 deal :)

    • +3

We are no longer offering unassembled systems sorry. Too many individual issues with the volume we sell when we are setup for assembled system support.

      • -1

        Okay, thanks mate.

Why would someone downvote my question lol.

      • Hey mate, getting payment failed on Amex …

        • Please try again now with the Debit Or Credit Card button under the PayPal option - seems definitely a SecurePay thing.

  • @luketechfast do you actually have those two models of 5080 in stock for individual sale? Or just like, "conceptually"

    • +3

      Actually

  • Now that's a good deal.

  • Why is there a premium for the i9-14900KF, when it's significantly cheaper than the R7-9800X3D?

Even with the more expensive motherboard it should come out under, doesn't make any sense, are they harder to build?

    • +3

Rebates etc - AMD is far more competitive than Intel. Pricing is as low as it can be on both. I agree it's optically weird.

      • Interesting, I was planning on going Intel for my next build as the price/performance of the i9-14900KF is crazy, but I might have to reconsider now

  • +1

How do you make it $700 cheaper than the last deal posted a moment ago?

Ok worse case, smaller AIO, worse/smaller mobo and a 1 TB SSD instead of 2 TB but still it's quite remarkable.

    • smaller AIO? - the other deal had a $50 cooler - lol
that deal was a rip off

  • +1

Great deal, regret buying my parts individually :(

  • Based on local pricing up today

    5080 - starting from $2019 AUD
    5090 - starting from $4039 AUD

5080 overclocks well and gets close to a 4090 so if your workloads fit within 16GB, not bad

  • +2

This deal seems 2 good, the CPU and GPU alone will cost around $3000 if you purchase them from retailers. But I will still hold onto my 3060ti rig.

  • $2019 model sold out rip

  • +2

Palit GameRock RTX 5090 32GB: $4139 - No Code Required

      • Try now, works for me? Maybe link needed to populate.

        • @luketechfast your first link is incorrect - nvm fixed it now

  • Just placed an order, is there any chance it can be vertically mounted?

    • Not by us sorry - depending what you bought aftermarket kits might be available

  • Crazy deal
