50 Series Launch Day! Always an exciting time with a new generation, new tech inside, higher performance, kicked off by the RTX 5080. We have done our very best to bring you the best deal on launch day by working with AMD and Palit to get you a 5080 series PC for little more than the price of the GPU and CPU, especially with the Australian Dollar falling from 72 cents down to 62 cents! Please note if the AUD falls to the predicted levels a build like this at 55 cents would be hundreds of dollars more. Now I have been inundated with messages about can we supply some standalone 5080 because of the disappointment of many people missing out, so we have made some available to you on launch.

We have our hands on Australia's first Palit GameRock and GamingPro cards, and they look great and perform incredibly well. Palit as you may well know are one of the largest GPU manufacturers in the world and manufacture for many other brands as well as their own cards. The GameRock this time around is less "crystalline bling" and more "psychadelic swirl" in its design.

All cards come with support stands as they are chonkariffic, and all PCs are securely packaged internally. We can ship GPUs separately too to remove risk of transit damage altogether - tick checkbox at checkout.

King tier CPUs from both AMD and Intel has been the OzBargain community's preference with high-tier 40 series cards and we've continued it here, so we're pleased to present both Ryzen 7 9800X3D and Core i9-14900KF options.

Each 5080 build has two batches of GPUs for both cards. Once the GPUs that are on hand now have sold out, that line will disappear, leaving the longer lead time cards (expected end of Feb into early March) available for pre-order.

Our build queue is completely cleared after some longer than anticipated timeframes to complete our Boxing Day orders which were extremely high in number, but I anticipate quick shipping for these closer to the front end estimate mark of the business days we are listing on the website.

All TechFast PCs are:

  • Unmatched in terms of value, $ per frame, bang for buck - you name it, it does not get cheaper
  • Fully professionally built, stress tested
  • Provided by the most active and committed OzB PC builder for 6+ years - we are here to stay while many others have come and gone, leaving Ozbargainers in the lurch
  • Plug and play with all drivers installed, no matter which OS you select
  • Fully supported by a local team via email and here on Ozbargain
  • Fully insured for transit at no extra cost
  • Fully warranted with transit covered both ways in the event of warrantable faults

Hi Luke, is the ryzen 7 9800 x3d with 5090 gamerock out of stock as i am keen to buy it

    • +1

I think a lot of us are in that boat, but with this being a 5090 paper launch and factories shut for lunar new year, it probably won’t be restocked till march I reckon …

  • What's the benefit of shipping the GPU separately? Does it come in the original packaging unopened?

    • It is safer than having it installed and posted. It can get damaged in transit.
I can only assume they would send the box as well if separate.

    • They're so big and heavy, that shipping them installed into the case is a bad idea - if the case is knocked around, then bad things can happen https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/illnfd/this_i…

  • @luketechfast probably a bit late on the post, is the 5090 build available? also is there a non RGB build for those 5090s? thanks!

  • @luketechfast i know the 5090 is out of stock but is the ryzen 7 9800x3d with the 5080 gamerock still in stock or has the cpu run out of stock?

  • +1

Getting out of stock on the ryzen 5080 PC - is it over?

    • Certainly looking like it. :/

  • Out of curiosity are these useful for anything other than gaming?

    • +1

You could run some local LLMs with the smaller deepseek versions, video editing, and in general productivity tasks are much easier on a PC compared to other devices sush as tablets.

The 9800x3d is a gaming focused CPU, so it will have the best results there as its the fastest gaming CPU, but it does still work great for everything else, just not as fast as the 9950x for certain productivity tasks.

The RTX series of GPUs also lets you use RTX Broadcast to massively reduce background noise on calls, and can upscale video much better using RTX video than your TV.

Just commenting to say I'm very happy with my 4080 prebuilt system from tech fast I bought in 2023.

  • +1

Anyone else receive a similar email earlier today after paying and receiving an invoice?

"The single RTX 5090 32GB cards have been withdrawn from sale and your order will be cancelled and refunded. Apologies for any inconvenience caused."

    • Oh wow, glad I purchased the 4999 system instead

  • @luketechfast would there be a chance for any byo gpu deals with similar parts?

  • @luketechfast do you know you 5090 link is active when you google "buy RTX 5090"? It's the first ad that comes up. Showing in stock with 1 - 5 days dispatch too.

    https://www.techfast.com.au/product/Palit-GameRock-RTX-5090-…

    • Try clicking "Add to cart" and see what happens

      • Ah cool, Thanks for pointing that out.

Did you try and buy one? 😆

        • +1

          Nah, it was mentioned before

  • +2

Anyone who bought the stand alone gpu's, have you heard anything since the purchase?

    • +1

Nope, radio silence for me but it did say 2 - 5 days shipping. That could mean time until dispatch. I would start to get concerned if we haven't heard anything by late this week though.

      • Yeah the status is still "order placed" for me, I'll chase it if it doesn't change in a few days

        • Make sure you've checked your emails, had one slip through notifying me that they have withdrawn the 5090's from sale and I received a refund.

          • +3

@Bomalin: I ordered a 5080 so should be a lot safer, the 5090s definitely got slammed

    • +2

Have been told that they will be shipped this week mad tracking numbers will be sent.

    • +2

I accidentally put two orders through so emailed to cancel one. They cancelled the second order and notified me via email that they do have stock on hand for the remaining order and it will be shipped in the time frame stated (2-5 business days) so pretty sure we good.
This was for the $2200 5080

      • Check your status on the page, mine just changed to picked.

  • Tried to order the AMD system but looks like unable to do so on the website as out of stock. have left a message on website so hopefully can still get the deal.

  • +1

    OOS?

    • -1

Did you read what it says?

  • +2

Hey Luke, any chance of a 4070ti super deal again? That's the sweet spot for value for me ✌️

  • Those Palit GPUs sure are ugly looking. Looks like they take up three slots as well (other AIBs are generally 2 or 2.5 slot)

    • +1

The Gamerock ones are huge, the Gaming Pro ones are more normal.

Fortunately some of us don't care about the size and looks because we don't have windows on our cases

    • Gamerock looks fine from the side, you wont ever even see under it where all the ugliness is.

  • +1

Just got an sms saying quick update your order has been progressed through our queue not sure what that means, website still says Status Order Placed.
I ordered the prebuilt 5080 pc

    • -1

Did you read what it says?

      • been progressed through our queue? maybe their building it? idk.

    • +1

I'm the same. I've now had a few messages and emails about my system which says it has progressed, but the Account Portal still has my build in the "Order Placed" status.

I'm assuming these are just automated messages as they work through the order queue.

      • Automated messages to prevent customers from constantly sending queries regarding where their order is.

  • +1

Anyone have any updates on 5080 GPU only shipping? Have not heard anything it's it's coming up to 5 business days since placing the order.

    • +1

Nope, still showing "Order placed" even though stock was allegedly "on hand"

    • +2

Very sus. I haven't heard back either.

      • Mine changed to picked an hour ago

  • @luketechfast Congrats Techfast team! TechYes City left a great review in his latest video (2:30mark and again at ~9Min).

Myself and a few others that have placed a order for the 5080/90 prebuilts "on hand" gpus are getting slightly nervous as its been 5 business days and lots of nervous energy online seeing cancelled orders (I got cancelled 3 times!). Can you confirm you'll still be delivering? If so still within the 10-14 day timeframe?

    • How good is Bryan!

  • +1

@luketechfast any 5090 rigs coming up soon

  • +1

Anyone had their GPU posted? A week on and haven't heard back from them…

    • Nope, pretty sure it said an estimated 2-5 days to send it, so bug them Monday if you don't hear anything. Given they're still selling systems with an alleged 10-14 day turnaround I'll be a little annoyed if the "on hand" stock was reallocated to them

      • My thoughts exactly.

      • Everything is sold out, but my prebuild has not been sent out yet, either. So I have no clue what's happening or why they are not sending things out yet.
Probably very busy and seems they are going to do a load at once.

Has anyone had their pre-build sent yet?

I bought 2 ITX machines at the same time within an hour of posting from techfast.. 26/12/2024
One machine arrived on the 31/1/2025, the second machine is in transit expecting to arrive on the 7/2/2025 or the 10/2/2025

Every machine I have ordered from techfast takes around 4-5 weeks to arrive.. despite what estimations as given..

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/889965
          the old tiemrs here.. know..

          Just wait…

Prices are excellent at Techfast however.. be prepared to wait awhile for your delivery..

          • +2

@Kelvin: Not acceptable. I wouldn't buy the card if it's a 2-3 week wait - could have bought it from anywhere if that was the case. Bought it because it was in stock NOW.

          • +1

@Kelvin: I guess the frustration for me (and others) is that we just ordered the bare GPU, and a rep was in here saying "any line with 'ON HAND' refers to it being on hand for processing", plus it was on a 2-5 day ETA for "despatch".

              • +1

@foxpants: It doesn't take 5 days to send a GPU lol. No idea why they haven't shipped them if they're "actually" in stock.

                • +1

@Senate 69: I sent a politely worded request for an update

                  • +1

@dav3: Please update us once you've heard back!

                • +2

@Senate 69: that is part of my concern, too, is whether the 'on-hand' is actually on hand or they just factor in their incoming stock (which can change easily due to supply or transport issue) and use the 10-15 days advertised period to supply when they can.

                    • +1

@foxpants: I think that aside, it'll be an enormous issue if they don't send them out by today. That is bang out of order and misleading.

                        • @foxpants: How did you get notified of that mate? Did you have an account before purchasing and log in now to see something? I don’t believe I have an account so can’t see anything unless they email/text me.
Mine was for the gamerrock 5080

                            • @foxpants: Yep, just created an account and mine also has been updated to picked

                        • @foxpants: Mine updated too, I wonder if they just changed the status on all orders jusg to stop the influx of emails 😂

                          • @drinkin-beer: Mine is "built" 😂

                            • @Senate 69: Yeeeeah they Definitely just changed the status on everyone's orders to shut us up.

Guessing you ordered GPU only? 😂

                        • @foxpants: Yeah mine just changed too, guess we'll see if it actually means something shortly or if it's some automated stuff like everyones weekly email for their system builds

                          • @dav3: Yeah ordered the GPU only lol.

We'll see. If I don't get tracking by 4:30 they'll be receiving an email.

                            • +1

@Senate 69: My status has updated to "ready for shipment"

                                • @foxpants: Same here, was really hoping it would be ready for this weekend. Can't win everything I guess!

                                • @foxpants: Wow. Glad I didn't or I'd be sorely disappointed.

                                  • @Senate 69: I paid for express too (still marked as "Picked") but can't see much shipping out this afternoon anyway.

At least it'll let me spend the weekend fitting the new PSU and organizing the case.

                                    • @foxpants: I doubt we'll have them shipped today. Will be glad to be wrong. Makes sense to pay for express if you're in WA.

                                        • @Vinodra: I thought they were based in SA?

                                        • @Vinodra: They seem to be Adelaide based, it's 4:30pm here so if it hasn't shipped by now it probably won't today.

                                          • @dav3: I must have been thinking of a different company that is Perth based, my mistake.

                                        • @foxpants: Just got an email, not sure if it's related to the query I sent last week

"We would like to confirm that all individual graphics cards orders are packed for dispatch and will be shipping out this afternoon Once Auspost collects from our warehouse."

                                            • +1

@foxpants: Yeah wasn't sure, but it's good they're giving people an update. Good timing for me too since I'm home tomorrow

EDIT: Just got the shipping/tracking notification

              • @foxpants: Dude, you already know the answer to your question. ;)

  • -7

@luketechfast can you chat with the building team and speed up my order? it has been a week, and the order hasn't even started building yet. I've seen a few posts on the internet that people waited for 2-3 months for their orders and had to request a refund, a path that I don't want to go with.
FYI I have been chatting with Cableb, it was advised that at the time of placing the order, it would be 10-15 business days now a week later, I received a text saying that its another 10-15 business days from now, whilst your website says the order hasn't even gone through the queue yet. It's confusing, and I don't see any light of the order being dispatched anytime soon.

    • I have gotten the same text and am still waiting as well. I think its auto. Its only been a week.. they still have 10 more days, also people running to support will just slow things more.

      • Yeah I'm thinking 15 business days is minimum 3 weeks for the build. Then a week to ship. I wouldn't worry until at least a month IMO.

        • yeah, I am gathering that too; it is more like 15 days minimum for building, plus shipping time after,

      • I am aware of that and am trying to be patience where possible.

However, I'm not sure if they received a lot of orders. Still, a whole week without starting the build is a bit concerning, especially since several posts around the net say they also experienced lengthy delays, which got me to chase up here and there.

I guess rather than a general 10-15 working days quote whenever questions were asked, a more transparent update would have helped boosting customers' confidence, e.g., a more accurate estimated wait time for the build to start. After that eta for the building to finish etc., for now, I understand that only the status will change when it changes, no actual details are given.
Alternatively, if the above involves too much human input that a company cannot afford, having things such as 'number of PCs to be built before yours'(feed from data link to company order log) and once started, the 'ETA of finishing is build' included in the order details would be great. Transparency always helps :).

        • my order for an itx build from 26/12/2024.. arrived today…!! thats 6 weeks and one day..

I went through my previous techfast orders..
8 machines in total so far in the last couple of years… none arrived in less than 4 weeks..

          • +1

@Kelvin: why are you ordering so many?

            • @Rukiata: All have been the ITX machines, except for the 5080 machine
              Family and business use…
You cannot build come close to building a similar (ITX) machine for the price they are selling them at..

          • @Kelvin: Right so they are slow, involve new released parts or not. Now I can just basically forget it won’t be here for weeks :)

            • @roccohu: unfornately yes… but you got a great price on the build!!

            • @roccohu: Look on the bright side: You're giving nVidia time to get the 50 series idiosyncrasies sorted in their drivers before we have to deal with them. ;-)

Just be patient. I'm sure Luke and his team are working as hard as they can. I'm pretty certain they'd also prefer not to have a stock room full of gear they haven't had time to build and ship yet. It'll happen.

I'm actually a little grateful because it gave me some time to assess, and switch my chassis from the Antec CX500M to the C3. I was in too much of a rush to get check-out complete when the deal was listed.

              • +1

@Spun: Hey man thanks for the reply. Yeh the drivers are definitely not quite there yet. If I haven’t sold my current Pc to fund this one I wouldn’t be rushing this much at al lol I think I’m not the only one in the situation, these new ones are expensive.
Anyhow you are right it also gave me time to think about the parts too, I also did upgrade the case from Cx500m to C3 and gone with a 360mm AIO, it would looks and works much better I suppose. A 9800x3d and 5080 with 240mm aio would be a bit too understated. Cheers.

                • @roccohu: Ah dammit. I've stayed with the 240, but now you're making me second guess myself. It will look a bit small in the top of the C3. I'll see how it looks when I get it, and if it bothers me I'll buy a 360 and relegate the 240 to my work PC.

For me, the fan kit alone was enough to justify the price increase of the C3 over the CX500m. I've got an additional set of ARGB fans ready to go. One reverse fan for the base of the case where the drive tray is, and 3 exhaust fans for the top of the case to turn the rad into push-pull (overkill, I know), and fill the extra 120 fan gap next to my poor little 240 rad :-).

                  • @Spun: Think alike! I’m adding a reverse fan at the bottom too.
I don’t think you lose out a lot by going with the 240mm aio first, I’ve asked they said it’s a in house brand both 240 and 360. So depending on the performance I might need to swap them out too!

        • This sort of comment is quite common on the Techfast deals. ;)

          • @Naigrabzo: as in chasing for delivery? :)

            • @roccohu: yep. Lack of comms, delayed delivery etc. Most seem to be happy with their pcs eventually. Occasionally salty after service stories etc….

    • +10

Mate, it’s barely been 6 business days since the deal was posted. Tagging the rep and bugging support to try and jump the queue is poor form.

      Have a little patience.

      • -1

        THIS!

      • Jesus, I mean I felt kind of bad asking for a quick update on the GPUs on day 5 since it was advertised as a 2-5 day turnaround, they went out on day 6 but hey shit happens, I know this release slammed them.

Asking about PC builds advertised as 10-14 day turnarounds on Day 6 or 7 or whatever it is is pretty ridiculous.

        • I think most of it was due to then sending out an automated message statimg its now entering its estimated build time of 10>14 days, when it had already been 5 business days.

So is it 10->14 business days or 15->19 business days? Im still not sure.

          • @Vinodra: My guess is that you will never know for sure.

      • -3

First of all admittedly you are right about they still have time to process the order as per advertised.
On the other hand I also explained why I hoped for better transparency and reading other posts where things could felt off got me nervous.
Lastly you could also interpret the urgency as passionate about getting a brand new PC from someone who truly loves hardware and that is the fact.

But hey if this post turned out to be a ‘bad form’ for some pls ignore me. I said and I quote ‘speed up the build’ not ‘build mine first.
