50 Series Launch Day! Always an exciting time with a new generation, new tech inside, higher performance, kicked off by the RTX 5080. We have done our very best to bring you the best deal on launch day by working with AMD and Palit to get you a 5080 series PC for little more than the price of the GPU and CPU, especially with the Australian Dollar falling from 72 cents down to 62 cents! Please note if the AUD falls to the predicted levels a build like this at 55 cents would be hundreds of dollars more. Now I have been inundated with messages about can we supply some standalone 5080 because of the disappointment of many people missing out, so we have made some available to you on launch.

We have our hands on Australia's first Palit GameRock and GamingPro cards, and they look great and perform incredibly well. Palit as you may well know are one of the largest GPU manufacturers in the world and manufacture for many other brands as well as their own cards. The GameRock this time around is less "crystalline bling" and more "psychadelic swirl" in its design.

All cards come with support stands as they are chonkariffic, and all PCs are securely packaged internally. We can ship GPUs separately too to remove risk of transit damage altogether - tick checkbox at checkout.

King tier CPUs from both AMD and Intel has been the OzBargain community's preference with high-tier 40 series cards and we've continued it here, so we're pleased to present both Ryzen 7 9800X3D and Core i9-14900KF options.

Each 5080 build has two batches of GPUs for both cards. Once the GPUs that are on hand now have sold out, that line will disappear, leaving the longer lead time cards (expected end of Feb into early March) available for pre-order.

Our build queue is completely cleared after some longer than anticipated timeframes to complete our Boxing Day orders which were extremely high in number, but I anticipate quick shipping for these closer to the front end estimate mark of the business days we are listing on the website.

All TechFast PCs are:

  • Unmatched in terms of value, $ per frame, bang for buck - you name it, it does not get cheaper
  • Fully professionally built, stress tested
  • Provided by the most active and committed OzB PC builder for 6+ years - we are here to stay while many others have come and gone, leaving Ozbargainers in the lurch
  • Plug and play with all drivers installed, no matter which OS you select
  • Fully supported by a local team via email and here on Ozbargain
  • Fully insured for transit at no extra cost
  • Fully warranted with transit covered both ways in the event of warrantable faults

      Actually

  • Now that's a good deal.

  • Why is there a premium for the i9-14900KF, when it's significantly cheaper than the R7-9800X3D?

Even with the more expensive motherboard it should come out under, doesn't make any sense, are they harder to build?

    • +8

Rebates etc - AMD is far more competitive than Intel. Pricing is as low as it can be on both. I agree it's optically weird.

      • Interesting, I was planning on going Intel for my next build as the price/performance of the i9-14900KF is crazy, but I might have to reconsider now

  • +1

How do you make it $700 cheaper than the last deal posted a moment ago?

Ok worse case, smaller AIO, worse/smaller mobo and a 1 TB SSD instead of 2 TB but still it's quite remarkable.

    • smaller AIO? - the other deal had a $50 cooler - lol
that deal was a rip off

  • +2

Great deal, regret buying my parts individually :(

  • +3

Based on local pricing up today

    5080 - starting from $2019 AUD
    5090 - starting from $4039 AUD

5080 overclocks well and gets close to a 4090 so if your workloads fit within 16GB, not bad

  • +7

This deal seems 2 good, the CPU and GPU alone will cost around $3000 if you purchase them from retailers. But I will still hold onto my 3060ti rig.

  • $2019 model sold out rip

    • Link for the 5090 doesn't work?

      • Try now, works for me? Maybe link needed to populate.

        • @luketechfast your first link is incorrect - nvm fixed it now

        • Hi Luke, PMd regrading the 5090 deal!

  • Just placed an order, is there any chance it can be vertically mounted?

    • Not by us sorry - depending what you bought aftermarket kits might be available

  • +1

    Crazy deal

  • PMed re 5090 build

  • +1

    5090 Out of stock already?

  • I also PM'd regarding the 5090 build as well.

  • Also PM'd regarding 5090 build.

  • Is it worth upgrading from a 4080 Super to a 5080? Don't bother with 4K at the moment only 1440p so I'm feeling like it's best to skip a generation as my 4080S is more than good enough and I'm just getting FOMO (and realising a 5090 is probably way more than I would want to spend :D).

    • +20

      Absolute waste of money

    • +8

Not worth it IMO, wait till 6 series..

    • +2

      From a 4080s?

      Dats crazy

  • Any sub 1000 gaming rigs? I only play dota and starcraft.

    • +5

      steam deck

      • That's actually not a bad idea…

    • +1

Starcraft, a fellow man of culture.

    • $688 4060 from techfast,or any pc,I do only play sc1&2 and any pc runs well with the game

  • Cheers, grabbed a 5080 Gamerock

  • Just ordered a Gamerock 5080, can I confirm order was locally stocked and not on backorder? @luketechfast

    • +1

The item on the invoice is "GPU-RTX5080-16GB-PALIT-GAMEROCK-ONHAND-IND", I assume "ONHAND" means they have stock locally now

      • How long did it take to get the invoice? I just did it and have the confirmation email so far

EDIT found invoice, item is Palit GameRock RTX 5080 16GB Graphics Card

Description says line will dissappear when OOS, so hopefully got in on time!

        • +1

Ahh the onhand bit was on the paypal invoice

          • @dav3: Confirmed just like yours on Paypal reciept, and techfast sales team. woop woop

      • That is correct, any line with "ON HAND" refers to it being on hand for processing.

  • +3

Any deals with the old GPUs?

  • Hi Luke if I place order for r7-9800x3d 5080 when could I pick up?

    • +1

Sometime in the estimated build window. You would get an email when it is ready after you emailed customer service requesting pickup. Shipping would be refunded.

      • Thx Luke, sorry I did not see this reply and now showing out of stock, will you be adding any more? Even for the late Feb early March?

  • crazy deal. Ryzen 7 9800X3D + RTX 5080 is $3k alone lol

  • +1

In very interested but don't like the available cases. I'm interested if you can use a case like Fractal Design North Charcoal Black Mesh or Lian Li DAN A3-mATX Micro Form Factor Case - Black (Wood Edition) in the build. Can you build the ryzen 5080 build with one of these cases?

    • I'd also order if the Lian Li DAN A3 was available as an option. Also any chance of a dual tower air cooler eg. Thermaltake?

    • +2

Those types of cases are awesome but jhust not available in any type of quantity for our business model to work.

      • Should have a look at the cx600m as an upgrade, excellent looking cases

        • The cx600m is a nice case but I want to under state it as it will be sitting in my living room next to the TV and my significant other will not appreciate RGB fish tank disco going on. If it looks like IKEA I can get away with it and pretend I'm an adult at the same time.

  • +5

for people wondering about Techfast aftersales. I got one of their 4080 build and had an issue with it a few months in, their support was excellent and I even ended up with a better model than my original one. very straight forward and decent bunch.

    • +1

Me too, I bought a system from them in 2021. The CPU stuffed itself in 2023 but still was within warranty so I emailed them and they pretty much took care of the entire RMA process for me and got me a refund

  • +1

Id be interested in a 5060 or 5070 build if you have any coming up.

  • Hi Luke, do you sell 5090 individually? or you are only selling it prebuilt ?

    • +2

The had the GPU for sale by itself and in a prebuilt, but they both sold out.

  • +1

Crazy deal. I am tempted but I have a 3080 and don't play enough stuff that pushes my current card to justify it

    • +1

same GPU here, yeah OSRS and Rocket League aren't exactly pushing my system enough to upgrade lol

  • if i can get an ITX build, that will be awesome! i am not a fan of ATX, taking too much room space

  • +1

so much interest in the 5090, whose buying it for their AUD$18,000 PC entertainment command centre?

    • I'm interested in the 5090 cause I need something to match my $8,990 USD lizard-embossed leather jacket.

  • +1

Looks pretty good, but a bit outside my price range!

Any chance for more deals with 4070?

  • Purchased the 5080 by itself, thanks Luke! Any suggestions on when the standalone GPUs are getting shipped?

  • -1

How long will this deal be available? I wont be able to purchase until Monday or Tuesday next week.

  • +2

Any option to upgrade the motherboard? Looking for more SATA/PCIe ultimately. Planning to move into a full size case too so size isn't an issue for me (additionally I can buy a larger case to accommodate the MB). Cheers

  • Hi @luketechfast, I am keen on the 5090 deal. What are the 1TB and 2TB Gen4 nvme models?
Is the warranty per component or only the whole machine? Would replacing components void any warranty?

    • -1

Any modification is not covered, and in the event of a warranty claim if it is found to be the cause of or contributing to the issue at hand, it would have an impact on the warranty based on the fault at hand. Basically if we don't provide it, we can't cover it.

      SSD models may vary.

  • +2

I'd be all over this if it came in a case I liked more. Something small and without clear panels in particular like the Lian Li x Dan A3.

    • Same. Can we get this option?

    • +1 for this

    • +2

Those types of cases are awesome but jhust not available in any type of quantity for our business model to work.

  • Hi Luke
Im still getting a payment processing error using credit card.
Would it be more simple if i walk to Adelaide office or to keep trying? Cheers

    • +1

As they've mentioned in every other comment about this, use the paypal option and select credit card in there.

  • Is it possible to upgrade the motherboard after place the order? There is no option to choose any upgrade

    • +1

That's the one we acquired in bulk for the deal so none others are on offer.

  • Pulled the trigger with the Gamerock. Also went with the Mag Forge case… seemed like it might offer better airflow than an M-ATX case…? First new gaming PC in 13 years :)

    • Haha. Same. My last gaming PC was a GTX680 (eventually paired with another in SLI !!) mated to an Intel 4770K.

I've been on consoles ever since after missing the 9xx generation, then the 1000 gen and 2000 gen because of crypto, then Covid for the 3000 gen (then just having other priorities for the last few years of the 4000 series). I know the RTX5080 is an expensive 70 tier card, but I'm looking forward to getting back into PC gaming again.

  • Howdy Luke, was about to order then I noticed that the 5080 is now on preorder (ETA LATE FEB….) and if I'm looking at it correctly its an extra 100$ for an available one in the build?

    • OH FFS after waiting for a reply now both are late feb ear march……….

  • Anyway to pre-order a 5090 (or a system with one?)

  • Any deals with the 7900XTX? The 5080 just feels a tad overpriced.

  • If I play at 1440p, any point in 5080?

    • Always good to overspec

    • Depends on your current setup, I'm on a 5700XT and it's starting to struggle even with settings turned down on some titles

      • I currently have a 1070 and a 5700x3d. I hardly even play games anymore, hoenstly.

  • Is the 850W power supply enough if I want to do some OC on the 5080?

  • Sadly missed the amazing 5090 deal. Wonder if any one here was able to purchase it?

  • Does anyone know of any good deals for a 5090 PC around $5k?

  • Very keen to see 9950x3D builds and possible deals when that chip becomes available.

  • -3

What’s with the sold out 5090 gaming pc? Was it a loss leader strategy as you’ve still got https://www.techfast.com.au/products/Gaming-PC-AMD-Ryzen-7-7… in stock, with a worse cpu and it costs $2k more than the 5090 deal posted here? I don’t get it?

    • +1

I think so. Maybe they just sold one or two. Or maybe it was solely to attract attention and they didn't sell any at that price

      • Can confirm I bought one, it was available for around 20 minutes and was originally posted in the comment section.

      • -4

Yeah the dodginess left a bad taste in my mouth. I went with this mob instead, just put in the order now, 9800x3d with a palit 5090. https://radiumpcs.com.au/products/prism-titan-white

        • +2

Again, I got an order in for their $4999 5090 system; and it was avaliable for like 20 minutes after that. You not ordering in time does not make them dodgy.

  • is the 5080 gamerock still actually on hand or on backorder now?

    • all sold out on backorder.

  • +1

Shipping address will not auto populate, is this an issue (From VIC)? Entered shipping address manually and will not let me pay afer entering credit card details.

    • +1

I had the same issue with address. I put it in manually and had no issues. Also see above for payment issues. Use the “pay with debit / credit card” option under the PayPal section. Worked for me.

  • Hopped on just now to put a 5080 AMD system with the $100 on-hand card through the checkout, but alas, gone already. Ah well, RIP to that. Hopefully other comparable in-stock options appear from vendors.

  • I'm new to this so this might be a silly question but how is it possible for a pre built to be cheaper than getting the parts separately?

    • Na not a silly question, they have to take deals that partner certain parts with other certain parts, I like to use my PLE buddy why manages one of the perth stores as an example, quoting him- during covid (peak supply issues and other stuff) the deals they had to take to get 2080/s/ti, etc, was 10 motherboards for 1 gpu. So these prebuilts are a good way to get rid of those cheap mobos in bulk. Its not a bad thing, its kinda what has to be done

  • +3

@luketechfast can we have a top-of-the-line "midlife crisis build" 9800X3D RTX 5090 PC please
Not the budget 5090, the "spared no expense" John Hammond style build

or just for your 5090 build to come in stock again

    • +2

Yes please ! I would snap buy a top end system with a good 5090
