50 Series Launch Day! Always an exciting time with a new generation, new tech inside, higher performance, kicked off by the RTX 5080. We have done our very best to bring you the best deal on launch day by working with AMD and Palit to get you a 5080 series PC for little more than the price of the GPU and CPU, especially with the Australian Dollar falling from 72 cents down to 62 cents! Please note if the AUD falls to the predicted levels a build like this at 55 cents would be hundreds of dollars more. Now I have been inundated with messages about can we supply some standalone 5080 because of the disappointment of many people missing out, so we have made some available to you on launch.

We have our hands on Australia's first Palit GameRock and GamingPro cards, and they look great and perform incredibly well. Palit as you may well know are one of the largest GPU manufacturers in the world and manufacture for many other brands as well as their own cards. The GameRock this time around is less "crystalline bling" and more "psychadelic swirl" in its design.

All cards come with support stands as they are chonkariffic, and all PCs are securely packaged internally. We can ship GPUs separately too to remove risk of transit damage altogether - tick checkbox at checkout.

King tier CPUs from both AMD and Intel has been the OzBargain community's preference with high-tier 40 series cards and we've continued it here, so we're pleased to present both Ryzen 7 9800X3D and Core i9-14900KF options.

Each 5080 build has two batches of GPUs for both cards. Once the GPUs that are on hand now have sold out, that line will disappear, leaving the longer lead time cards (expected end of Feb into early March) available for pre-order.

Our build queue is completely cleared after some longer than anticipated timeframes to complete our Boxing Day orders which were extremely high in number, but I anticipate quick shipping for these closer to the front end estimate mark of the business days we are listing on the website.

All TechFast PCs are:

  • Unmatched in terms of value, $ per frame, bang for buck - you name it, it does not get cheaper
  • Fully professionally built, stress tested
  • Provided by the most active and committed OzB PC builder for 6+ years - we are here to stay while many others have come and gone, leaving Ozbargainers in the lurch
  • Plug and play with all drivers installed, no matter which OS you select
  • Fully supported by a local team via email and here on Ozbargain
  • Fully insured for transit at no extra cost
  • Fully warranted with transit covered both ways in the event of warrantable faults

    • Recieved the same email, I will be keeping my order because at the end of the day its still a secured pre order at a great price.

    • -5

If anyone is pulling out please PM me.

Happy to grab it off ya, plus a slap of beer too : )

    • Were they advertised as having stock on hand?

      • Yeah, Luke had confirmed that they had stock on-hand for all 5090 system orders, but seems that this was accounting for potential stock coming in from distribution rather than inside brick & mortar. Hopefully a lesson learned for the next big release.

    • -7

Hey Mate, I ordered the 5080 system, its been delievered and is absolutely amazing however I'd like to maybe upgrade to the 5090. Would you consider taking my 5080 and i pay the difference? DM me!

Happy to do this for anyone else too Obviously

  • +2

Haven't got any update on my "Pre-Order (ETA Late Feb/Early March)".. some communication would be good.

    • +3

I received the following email on the 6/3 about my order. I ordered approx 11 hours after the post and paid extra to get the GameRock card they advertised they had on hand.

Fortunately mine moved to build the next day after confirming I would switch to the GamingPro card and get refunded the difference.

It has become clear that they never had all the stock on hand and were working off an allocation. Bad news is that they have to work through all those customers first before moving to pre-orders.

"We have an update for your order. Unfortunately we are in the position that due to errors at our distributor's end (where they short-shipped our agreed quantity), and despite our best efforts to secure more, manufacturing shortages mean we do not currently have a GameRock card on hand for your order. We've been managing orders as best we can while waiting for the most accurate information to give to you, which we now have.

The earliest timeframe for delivery of the next batch of GameRock is the week commencing March 17. However GamingPro cards are available to swap into, and PCs with this card will be moving into build late this week into next week. So if you wanted to change to that card (along with a refund of the $100 upgrade price you paid for GameRock), you can do so.

To confirm your options, they are:

      1) Wait for the GameRock card, currently expected in the week of March 17.
      2) Swap into the GamingPro card with a $100 refund, with system completion expected in the week of March 10
      3) Cancel for a full refund

We do both sincerely apologise for the above scenario, understand any frustration caused, and thank you again for your patience. Pease advise what you would like to do."

      • +3

I just dont get why they arent communicating that with customers. I didnt even want the gamerock card, I just wanted my order in that time frame. So I will definitely be requesting a $100 refund for not meeting the timeframe that I paid for

        • +1

I hear you, some regular communication beyond the generic 'we are making progress' posts would go a long way.

      • Has your order moved to “Testing” or is it still “Picked”?

        • +1

Not the guy you're replying to, but I ordered 4.5 hours after posting and chose the GameRock 'on hand' GPU then switched to a GamingPro after I got that email on Thursday. My build moved to picked the next day and hasn't progressed yet since then.

        • +1

I'm the same as um and still at "Picked". To be fair their email did state system completion in the week of March 10 so they are still within their updated window.

        • Mine still says "order placed"

        • Is your order also still stuck on "picked" ? It's been a week with no updates

          • @Super8Tab: Mine is

            • @um: Well so much for the new completion window. Mine is still at "picked" too.

        • my still stuck on pick as well since 06/03

        • Mine's built now and in testing.

        • Same here. Looks like they shifted the status of quite a few.

        • Finally at shipped!

        • Moved to built

  • +2

Yep same, emailed a week ago for update, no reply.

  • +2

Same here, pretty annoyed to be honest, paying extra $100 to have it in the time frame. If it doesnt ship before the end of the day on the 15th I'll be asking for that $100 refunded. Don't get why they cant send out some info with what is happening!

  • +1

@luketechfast Are there any updates on the late feb / early march orders? I've emailed twice and received no reply. I'd like at least an indication of when I might be able to expect my build when we're halfway through the month. Thank you

    • +2

The reps seem to have stopped replying to messages and posts on here.

A lot of us still don’t have any real update for the January orders. It’s an absolute mess.

    • Guess it was one of those if it seems to good to be true, it probably is

      • They must have secured the price themselves with distributors, or at least one would hope that is the case. It's just that the cards have not arrived yet, and again, I hope that is also the truth (poor communication definitely leaves the door open to doubt). So they should be able to fulfil orders. I doubt they would ever start cancelling orders after all this time having taken pre-payments from many, as I think that could bring severe consequences (terms and conditions are not necessarily above the law). I did say somewhere else that I hope they don't do anything unfair other than not communicating, but I was more referring to prioritising more profitable orders thus delaying earlier orders, not cancelling orders after taking money without even securing a GPU for each one.

I know it sucks after having waited for so long, but like others have suggested, if you can't wait anymore, just ask for a refund. :)

My order from 31/1 has just been updated from picked to built/testing.

    • Was yours in the on-hand or end of Feb/early March GPU backorder?

      • +1

        On-hand. Was picked on 6/3

so not sure is this before Picked or after Picked?

    • Ordered before this deal was posted? Lol

      Built is after picked

      • Haha, my bad, 6 weeks!

        • And he just told me his ordered has been shipped!

  • Quick update on my order

    • Did you have any issues with turning on EXPO as others have reported?

      • +1

Running EXPO at 6000 just fine. Was already set up when it arrived

  • +1

Not sure someone else has already mentioned this but I just received a confirmation that ROP numbers are also been checked as part of testing.

    • Thats good, cause I will return mine if its missing any.

  • Has anyone had any issues with this build running ram in EXPO mode? My PC keeps crashing if enabled and will only get into windows if disabled.

    • I ran it in Expo mode and there was no problem. It went from 5600 MT/s to 6000.

      • Yeah mine is absolutely cooked. Will not boot up in expo mode, just keeps crashing and trying to restart. I also looked into the RAM I received (BL.9BWWR.652) and it is not compatible with my motherboard. Can only run it without expo mode.. Really disappointed

        • Looks like I’ve been given that RAM too. Where does it say it’s incompatible?

Edit: nvm I found the support list. Hopefully, mine doesn't have the same issue :(.

          • @just-human: Please let me know :( I was trying to get it to work for like 6 hours yesterday, tried everything. I also have issues with constant freezing during bios.. I’m almost certain it’s a ram incompatibility issue. Good luck

          • @just-human: How’d you go?

            • @Buttrchicken: I haven't received it yet (expecting delivery later in week I believe). I'm on a trip so a family member will get it for me and I'll remote in to do tests. I talked to some others and they said that they're able to run the same RAM at 6000 which means EXPO must be enabled. Apparently, it was configured like that out of box.

              • @just-human: I opted to install windows myself, but expo was enabled when I got the pc in Linux. It crashed in bios multiple times and also while installing windows.. mine is super unstable and I have no idea why. Emailed techfast last Thursday and no response ☹️

                • @Buttrchicken: Tried updating the bios? Different RAM slots?

                  • @OmegaPlus: Yeah I did update the bios with no issues. I’ve never really touched anything in a pc before lol I’m a noob, but I can give the ram swapping a go. Just want to wait until techfast get back to me

                    • @Buttrchicken: This might not be it but have you tried updating or re-installing Windows?

You mentioned it was working fine with Linux so maybe something is wrong with the Windows install.

                      • @just-human: Nah it was crashing in Linux too. Yep I did a fresh windows install

                        • +1

                          @Buttrchicken: I think it’s likely a Mobo or RAM issue :(

Might have to wait for TechFast to resolve it. Hopefully there’s a solution that doesn’t involve sending your PC back because who knows how long it will take.

                          • @just-human: I think so too :( damaged in transit or just faulty to begin with. So upset. Still waiting on a resoution… @luketechfast

                            • @Buttrchicken: Looks like I might be having a RAM issue as well. BSOD crashes with attempted_write_to_readonly_memory error and Memory Diagnostic is stuck at 0% after 6 hours.

                              • @just-human: Yep, I remember that error code too. I’ve been running pc with expo mode disabled and it’s been fine. I’ve only JUST received an email back from techfast so we’ll see if any of their suggestions help.

                                • @Buttrchicken: I ran a memtest and it showed as a FAIL result. I've asked them if I can just send the RAM back instead of the whole PC. I'm lucky my family could run the test while I was away. I wasn't able to see the BSOD error code remotely and had to learn to use event viewer to find it. I gotta say this experience has taught me a lot.

                                  • @just-human: When you ran the memtest, was your pc in expo mode? I just did a memtest with it disabled and there were 0 errors.. if I turn on expo mode my pc just power cycles and loses connection to all my peripherals so I can’t run a memtest with it on anyway lol :/. Trusty event viewer! I hope they replace the RAM for you.

                                    • @Buttrchicken: Yeah I think it was enabled as it was showing 6000. I didn’t touch the BIOS settings because I didn’t want to actually break the RAM or change from default. The RAM is spec’d to run at 6000MT/s so anything less would be a fault lol.

They gave me a shipping label to send it back and they’ll ship out new units when they get it I assume :). Did they reply to you yet?

                                      • @just-human: Wtf lmao. They took an entire week to reply to me and have given me a bunch of ram tests to do first

                                        • @Buttrchicken: Lol what they were fairly responsive to me so I have to give them credit for that. Shipping label within a few hours of reporting for express post. Can you DM me I just want to ask a few questions because I think you have DMs turned off :).

                                          • @just-human: Yeah I waited a whole week for some generic ass reply and they ignored my point about the ram not being on the QVL 🤣. I’ve dm’ed you!

                • @Buttrchicken: I will have Windows self-installed so we'll see. I think most others installed Windows themselves too.

Just received an email noting the 5090 system has entered build phase.

    • +1

Got the email as well. Finally moved after almost two months!

    • Have also just received an email saying it is now being tested, so appears to be moving along.

    • Happy to say that the system + GPU were delivered yesterday. Wont have a chance until the weekend to boot it up and test it out (here's hoping no RAM issues that others have noted above), so for now the boxes are taunting me.

  • Arrived, seperate gpu, seems great so far, all rops accounted for, seems exoo is on from bios.

Post above said came with GPU stand but couldn't see that with mine, seems locked in solid though.

  • has everyone received theirs yet ??

  • After a little over a month with the new PC, despite the delays for "on hand" stock and the lack of communication, I'm very happy with the build.

I'm very surprised with the Palit Gamingpro 5080 card. Undervolted to 925mV @ 3000mhz (with +2000 memory overclock) it runs completely stable and very cool.

  • I have nothing but issues with this PC and it's annoying me.

Now I have an issue where temps on CPU keep rising randomly to 95% and higher on start up. With very low usage
Seems to go down randomly to 40%, but it turned off and shut off before from overheating, I think.

What is going on with this? Does anyone else have the same issue? I am guessing faulty CPU or aio now? And I'll have to send it back and wait months till I even get it back

    The fans are so loud

I think I have had this issue from the start, I just noticed it.
