Good for the nas purchase yesterday.

    Corsair Vengeance SODIMM 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz also an option at $79 https://amzn.asia/d/75Vuxbr

  • +3

Corsair Vengeance SODIMM 16GB single stick is $40 as well https://amzn.asia/d/aWZuoss

I was looking at RAM last night but the prices on Corsair seemed to be the long term price so didn't seem worth posting a deal

    Laptop only….yes?

      Anything that takes SODIMM

    • +1

Well also mini PC which have been posted on OZ many many many times. There are adaptors to use laptop ram in a desktop but I don't think they generally recommended

  • I have a Dell OptiPlex 7060 micro would this be compatible ?

    • +2

Google: ‘does dell optiplex 7060 take sodimm’
      Result: https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-au/optiplex-7060-mic…

    • It should be, although Dell website only suggests crucial ram. You could just pay the extra $1.80 for peace of mind though

    • I think it will…. My 7060 uses UDIMM which are longer than SODIMMs…. (but i don't have a micro…)
I am running 24GB (a Hynix 8GB and a 16GB A-Data) and it runs perfectly on my 7060 (i5-8600). I even mixed speeds.. the Hynix is 2666MHz while the new ram I bought was 3200MHz.

  • Any good ram prices for desktop..?

    • -3

      This is desktop ram! GTFO!

  • Damn, not dual ranked otherwise would have been good for the synology nas

  • dammit need DDR5 for my asus zephyrus g15

  • Will this work in a 7040 micro? GPT says no as dell is so,times picky and I should stick to 2133mhz

    • +2

These will work in a 7040 micro, Dell sometimes doesn’t work with no-brand RAM sticks but will work with Crucial (consumer brand of Micron), they are an OEM supplier to Dell.

Don’t trust ChatGPT for anything technical, it’s just regurgitating stuff without any real understanding.

      • That’s what I figured, just haven’t worked with the micros before but picked a couple up last week
