    65" not on sale?

    • +1

Not that I can see. I'm guessing it's the most popular size.

  • +3

Hoping to see the X9000H 55" go even lower…

    • +1

Me too. This should be RRP.

    • Maybe next year when the new models come out. It won’t go lower when demand is higher than the supply since its heavily marketed for the PS5

    • +1

I won't be buying at that price. It was this price few weeks ago.

      Black Friday banana 🍌

  • +4

If you arent using jb gift cards you can get free delivery on Sony eBay store

    55" for $1499 (box damaged)
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sony-KD55X9000H-Box-Damaged-55-K…

    65" for $1836 (seconds)
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sony-KD65X9000H-Seconds-65-KD-65…

    75" for $2988 (box damaged)
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sony-KD75X9000H-Box-Damaged-75-K…

    • Someone commented on another post today that the Sony 'box damaged' TVs are actually refurbished units with minor panel issues like dead pixels etc.

      • Why wouldn’t they just rename them as “seconds” like the rest they have?

      • +2

The refurbs are separated out, they are the ones listed as "seconds". The "box damaged" ones state the unit itself is brand new, anything other than that would be "not as described" and require an immediate refund, I doubt they'd be screwing with consumer laws (to my knowledge)

        • +1

According to the condition section on the "Box damaged" listings:

"…The item may be a factory second (i.e. it has a small flaw that does not affect the operation of the item such as a scratch or dent)…." I wouldn't risk it.

          • +1

@pkian: Yeah that's ebay's set condition description for "as new: unused", not something Sony have typed themselves. Unfortunately the factory second part is in the same item condition category as box damage, which is why it also says to refer to the seller's description for. The body of Sony's listing specifies "AS NEW: This item may have damaged carton. It is an unused & undamaged item in its original packaging.".

            • @storms79: Thanks for explaining. I got one 55" new just for $50 more from JB :)

  • +1

Called my local. No stores in WA have any stock except Bunbury.
They also noted they have 30 on order for customers. I expect this number to jump after the TV goes on sale.
Might be a bit of a wait if you order one…

I'll repost a comment I made last month here regarding the 65":

I purchased the 65" X9000H for $1750 at the Good Guys Auburn last week.

Salesperson asked me where I'd seen it sold for this price and I told him that I saw on Whirlpool that several people have got it for this price. When he said that $1850 was the best he could do I said "don't worry then" and started walking away. Then he said he'd ask the manager and came back saying that they will sell it to me for $1750. I've seen a few similar stories around ozb as well.

Just putting it out there in case an OzBargainer wants a good price on the X9000H.

There's also a purchase receipt on the child comment if anyone would like to use it.

    • +2

which page are the receipts in?

      • +1

I called TGG Auburn about this docket and they said they must had some promotion and TGG bought the TVs' for lower price and hence the lower sale price.

The best they can do now is 2185.

  • Is this so much better then Samsung q80t

  • +1

I paid $1495 from Sony Australia a month ago for the 55” X9000H

  • +1

Anyone been able to negotiate on the 85", best I could get is $4000 at TGG.

    • It was $4495 a few weeks ago at JB. I bought it for $4000 with the singles day 11% off promo. It was paid by the home gift cards that were bought Woolies. Received $400 worth rewards points. Not a bad deal.

  • +4

This has been almost $200 lower in the post month with the SONYFRENZY promo; $1519 base (after the discount code) less the $100 eftpos gift card + cashrewards brought it down to $1343.

Edit. The above included delivery too.

  • -1

Whilst this is an okay TV for gaming but the HDR performance is disappointing to say at least.

    • Any good tv for PS5?

  • do they still make 40inch tvs?

  • +1

Just called The Good Guys Auburn store The guy said the market price for 65 inch X9000H is $2,695 and the Black Friday price would be $2,195… Even we want to buy three of them, he cant offer more discount.

    • TGG Auburn offered me 2185 :P

He even said they buy these TVs' from Sony at different price at different times.

      • Maybe they do not have enough stock there so holding the price.

  • Was able to get Harvey Norman down to $3300 on the 75" X9500h inc delivery, however just as were going to shake on the deal they didn't have stock for another two weeks, which is probably a good thing, seeing as JB soulotions have it for $3361.90 and I feel there is a better deal to be had out there…

Anyone know where I could get it cheaper, I need to satisfy my inner ozbargin stinginess….

    Melbourne Based! Thanks Gents ( & Gent'esses )

    • I'd like to know too. Since this will be my first 4k I'd rather buy a large panel to make full use of the extra res. 75" would be good at the right price. Currently I still use my 48" Bravia from the ozb deal a few years back.

  • +1

Could I please ask, If I'm not rush to buy, would this model become cheap next year say around March?
From you guys experience, will it drop below Black Friday /Christmas price next year? Or it depends on when the new model come out?

    • I'm in the same boat, would prefer to have the PS5 first before purchasing this TV but the wait could be a few months away and the price could go down a lot more or something better could come along.

  • +1

I thought this was ok until I looked up the RRP from Sony https://www.sony.com.au/electronics/televisions/x90h-series/…

    • 55" = $1,795.00 (save $250)
    • 75" = $2,995.00 (save $60)
    • Discount stinks. Nothing special about this sale besides advertising

    • +1

Interesting. Most of the retailers were/are listing it as $3495 for 75inch which is why $2935 looks like a good price, but you are right, the sony website lists it as $2995 which suggests they have just reduced their price and the retailers are trying to get rid of old stock bought at higher prices maybe.

      • I wonder if you brought this up with either jb or tgg whether they'd budge on price.

  • Has anyone negotiated the 75" price down either with jb or tgg? Seeing as the Sony store rrp is only $60 off these "sale" prices.

  • +4

People keep confusing what Sony is currently selling a TV for with RRP. It’s not. Last month Sony was selling the 65X9000H for $1995. And several people on Ozbargain claimed it was the new RRP. Well, it wasn’t and that model is now back up to $2295.

$2995 for the 75X9000H is not the RRP, it’s the current Sony promotion.

    • Thanks for clearing that up.

  • +1

Anyone manage to haggle cheaper in store for the 55"?

    Wondering if 1400 is possible?

    • I am keen to know too. I was gonna go to my local store and give it a try.

    • If you find out let me know as I'm interested in the 55" as well. Thought about calling them and mentioning the Sony Promo where it went down to $1300-$1400ish.

    • I tried last night in WA (after the price dropped on the website) and they said theres no chance due to the limited stock.
They were curious as to they they even discounted the price to $1545 considering most stores have no stock

I ended up getting it from The Good Guys with the 30 day price guarantee

      • Thanks for the update. What did you end up paying from TGG?

        • +1

$1545. Was gonna do the 15% JBHIFI gift card method but the closest store is a 2 hour drive away. Not worth it, IMO

Im happy with $1545. Not a bargain but good value for what you get, IMO

  • +1

I was able to get the 55 from the Sony eBay store for $1493 with free shipping using the PLUS3 coupon for eBay plus members.

    • Nice I may give this a go! How long is shipping though?

      • Estimate on the ad said 27th of November - 3rd of December, but after I ordered it said it was 3rd-8th of December.

    • Lol you saved $2 compared to last month from Sony ebay. Black Friday sales are just full of hype

      • Technically its not Friday yet so you'll have to wait until then to call it that but you may just be right about that one.

    • I got it down to 1440 with coupon that ebay auto filled that took $100 off so pulled trigger.

Realising its not the cheapest its ever been (yet sat In my ‘comfortable bracket’ vs overall price this year) am happy with price. Ofc Hoping it doesn’t drop too much further on weekend cross fingers yet if it does, ill reach out to Sony and see what they say. Worse case, if the saving is massive ill grab another and return.

Either way this time of year its always a crap shoot as wait and miss great price or grab and risk it dropping 🤷‍♂️

In the end - It will be miles better that my 40’ 08/09 Samsung that back then cost me over 2k so cant wait for it to arrive 😊

      • When did you get this as interested to know about the $100 coupon. $1440 is not a bad price.

        • Purchased Yesterday mid afternoon after receiving email from sony ebayStore.
Did it Via ebay app. Where the Item Was listed, costs etc under image - was a separated area that read along lines of ‘you can save up to 100’. Clicked on it, said i had a code that gives up to 100 off.
Whilst checking out there was a checkbox to apply code-whammy $100 off.
Mrs tried it last night and she didn’t get a code so unsure if targeted or not.
I didn’t have anything in my emails either

          • @LV-426: I have this for $1440 in my cart on ebay… wondering if I should pull the trigger!

            • +1

@seethreepeo: Nice! Glad that you have option of that price also! 👌🏻

I must say i was debating to pull trigger for a bit also - yet I’ve been on TV hunt for quite a long while (& as mentioned this fell in my +/- $ range) so was comfy taking the plunge.

Based in comments across ozB it has been a touch cheaper and is still currently higher at stores.. so anyones guess if will drop more over next few days 🤷‍♂️

Depends really on your situation buddy and if you are content to run the gauntlet a bit longer or leap in 🤨 this time of the year is always a cr@p shoot!

I probs haven’t helped much 😐 - yet suffice to say i was in your shoes yesterday afternoon too and the final decision did my head in even though i have been planning for it 🤣

            • @seethreepeo: If you aren't pulling the trigger do you mind to PM the link to me as I need a new TV badly. If it's targeted it might not work anyway but worth a try rather than letting it elapse. What do you think?

              • @enjunuet: Do you have eBay plus by any chance? It's just a coupon code that I apply on checkout.

Is this the same tv for 5 bucks less? Model number same below title but in title states X90H.

    • Yes. Its the US model number I think but under the main heading it has the correct model.

Sony 75-inch X90H Full Array 4K UHD LED LCD Smart TV
      KD75X9000H 4548736116139

    • Sony call it the "X90H series" on their website (in Australia too), but the model numbers are KD-. .X9000H. No idea why - it is confusing!

    • Yeah man, just got the X9000H from JB. Box said X90H on it.

      • Did you get it delivered from online? I ordered mine Tuesday and it said shipping on or before the 27th to Sydney. Still not shipped though..

        • Got the 55inch, so I decided to collect it instead of putting it in the hands of delivery guys. Hopefully your one ships soon.

  • +2

Anyone comparing the Samsung Q80T with Sony X9000H on Rtings should note, the US model of Q80T is way superior to the one sold in Europe and unfortunately, here. They ARE NOT COMPARABLE here in Australia.

The Sony is much better compared to Q80T in most use cases.

Q90T and higher is what X9000H should be compared to in the Australian market.

    • What's the difference between the US and EU/AU model of the Q80T? I bought the X9000H today after tossing up between the two options but genuinely curious about the difference.
