There have been a few posts about the discounted prices of the C4.

Video Pro have dropped the $200 gift card but reduced the price further from $2588 down to $2490 plus delivery.
Not sure if other retail stores will drop prices even more with the new C5 coming out soon. But if you want the C4 now then this price is not too bad

    $2340 plus $200 gift card but for only 1 evening.

  I got my C4 priced matched with VideoPro at the Good Guys, they were more than happy to not only match the price, but reduce it by the cost of the gift card ($400 in my case as I went for the larger 77 size at the time), so you should try it with this one.
