  Lots of reviews complain about how it handles bass on these, basically they deliver lots and lots of it, to the point it can be bad with someone who has a deep voice.

  XM4s have better ANC too, I believe they have more microphones in there to monitor sound.

    Yep build quality not as good too.
    Not sure I’d be comparing these to the XM4s. Still an okay price though.

  Tried the XM4 for a while and ended up buying a set of these, the ANC is definitely a bit better on the XM4 but def not bad on these either.

  While the extra bass options aren't necessarily well suited to anything and everything you might listen to, I really like having that option and find it greatly augments the noise cancelling by "drowning out" more external noise without having to crank the overall volume super high (which I would find incredibly distracting when trying to focus on work).

  So I can listen to some nice ambient or drone or whatever at a reasonably low volume, but with nice thick bass, effectively as "background music" with the detail slightly muffled, but in a good way, if that makes sense.
