@congo: How to confirm this? I have not yet tested the audio but there are mixed messages - some are saying 24, some are saying 32. How to verify?

I tried listening to the same audio tracks on both phones and they sounded very similar to me. I suspect v30 slightly clearer - instruments would sound slightly more separated and clearer, but more likely that my headphones/my ears aren't up to the spec to tell the difference, and I was just getting sick of the tracks.
The screen protector of the 2nd screen doesn't seem too good.
Or were we meant to remove this?

There is a thin plastic film on the second screen. I don't know if there is gorilla glass underneath. (I doubt it?)
I was watching one of the videos and they too complained about it. Infact for him a bit had peeled off. Better make sure the film is there stuck firm.

Can someone please confirm if this has a FM radio or not ? My father in law picked one up but reckons he cant find FM radio app (he is running Androids 9, updated to software version v10d-505-01 with security patchs of 1-October-2019). Thank you
I don't believe so. I can't find it on the phone. From some brief googling, it might only be available on US variants.

My colleagues lg v20 bought from jbhifi dont have the fm radio app. While the one i bought from ebay which came from taiwan has the app.
I'm sick of this crippling of phones. My colleagues phone and mine are the same model.
I personally think its so people use more data for streaming music (Spotify, Youtube Music, Deezer etc etc) and thereby pay more in data charges\monthly fees. The greedy (corporate) service providers here in Aus must ask LG\other phone manufacturers to disable FM Radio with this intention.
Hi, i've been using this phone since yesterday, the dual screen with youtube or netflix displayed pauses when im touching the main display, is this happening to anyone?

Did not happen to me. I just again tested it with Youtube. While Youtube was running on main screen, I opened Chrome and browsed thru OZB site on second screen. Video did not pause.
Then I swapped the screens so video continued running on second screen and I continued OZB site on Chrome on the main screen.
I tried Youtube in both Portrait and Landscape mode. Did not try Netflix.
(I don't know what is WizLock. will google it)
Thanks Fedaykin, yes it was Wizlock that was disabled causing the issue, installing this again fixed it :)
I think it's a feature that's turned on by Wiz Lock haha. It should be enabled by default IMO.

I'm upgrading my LG G4 (previously ozbargained back in Dec 2015 for $500) which has served me well, apart from that 1 bootloop issue, but I was lucky it was aussie stock and fixed fast.
I will miss the infrared remote in my LG G4 and casually throwing my phone on the couch and letting the kids play with it. No cracks or dents even.
This price is awesome. $599 for a phone with these specs, abielt the no dual SIM and infrared remote.

JB Hi-Fi have removed the dual sim specification from the web site.

I tried installing the LG FM radio from xda, but it doesn't become active once installed.
Most radios im mobiles need headphones plugged in.
I tried it with headphones in, it still would not function.

There is a strong possibility that the hardware is identical across different regions but the hybrid SIM may have been disabled by the customized Telstra firmware
Now that it's off the website, I hope they don't cancel the order I placed for delivery. I bought cases and screen protectors already.

Mine arrived today. Running LAST.FM on one screen and USB Player Pro on the other. Perfect:)
Everything seems good on this phone except battery life…. I charged it til 95% and initial setup for half an hour doing some updates already gone 15% in 30 mins that's insane…. Without second screen too.
Day one it was destroying my battery, day two I had 7 hours of SOT with the second screen attached (but not always powered on)

My local store had one that was returned yesterday. Apparently as it didn't support dual SIM as advertised. Nothing wrong with the phone function, but they cannot sell it as it has to be returned to manufacturer as a faulty item as it has been opened.
Wonder how many others have returned an opened one that now cannot be sold at all just because it doesn't support dual SIM but otherwise functions perfectly? That is a lot of phones going to waste out of the 66 phones they had available nationally for this promotion.

Looks like Telstra are our only chance of Android 10, unlocked bootloader, crossflash (to eu firmware) aren't currently possible on Aus model.
I've pm'd Telstra on Twitter, even a timeline would be nice or a firm no chance if there not interested in working on a niche device.
I'm aware there's a global pandemic but EE in the UK appear to have managed to pass along the 10 update, along with a few other Euro providers . .
It's shame we still not on android 10. I suggest everyone ask Telstra.

Only the advertised slightly different way of wide view using Whale browser. Waiting for Android 10 update now so more apps can work in wide view mode.

G8S does not have the notification LED, but it does have the Always on Display.
Has anyone ordered on 17/04/2020 and received an email confirmation that it has been shipped? I am still waiting for mine. They don't have any hotline to call to and its weird that they promised they will be delivered via express freight before or on 21/04/2020 but no info at all.
If you use their contact us page. U can email them. They are usually pretty good and often respond in 24hrs. Emailed on Friday and got response on Saturday.

Battery life with 2 screens is bad. However, with 1 it's ok. Coming from Huawei, their phones have better battery life. If long battery life is a must for you forget about 2 screens. If you're around chargers all day, you'll be fine.

I've disabled 5G, using the dual screen only as a cover (so the icon is on but screen not on) but don't know if that helps. I have the screen fairly bright with auto brightness.
Anyhow on the weekend I used the screen for more than 6hrs and there was more than 30% battery left, so probably could get more than 8hr screen on time between charges.
Accubattery pro app estimates 9hr 24min screen time with a full battery.
I'd say the battery is excellent.

I did the same thing with the 2nd screen but wasn't sure if it was still sucking some power just being in standby, this I'd love to know.
Yeah running auto brightness too, haven't played with brightness to save battery life since my G4.

Oh and how much I miss dark mode…I think it would make a difference on this oled.
I only have accubattery from when I was trying to work out how my v30 battery was going - I don't think it actively does anything for saving battery, it's more of an information logging app.
They have cancelled now all orders made on Saturday 18th April morning. I am now stuck with the eGift cards for $600 that I bought, and this time no gift card for compensation as well ! JB is getting stingy as well
They even cancelled all orders on the 17th April. I got refunded via paypal. JB hifi is very unethical by doing this to us!
