This is definitely all time low so far for outright purchase.
I got mine last week but kinda regret now because I paid a lot more for it.

You're a legend! Is it a common practice for them? I know they're pretty well-known for being one of the easiest retailers to deal with but still wanna make sure that I'm not giving them hard time
I did it with a laptop purchase. Very easy. Spoke to a guy in sales and he brought me to the front to talk with a manager to refund the difference.
I was in store 2 days ago looking at a Pixel, told staff I'd wait till Boxing Day sale. Staff said the store would refund and re-invoice if price was lower in next 30 days. Not sure if they do 30 days now to match officeworks?
If you got it from JB, ask for the difference back.
They refunded the difference I paid for a dishwasher. Thanks for the advice mate. Do I just tell them that "I bought this last week at this price, now it is …. May I please have that difference in price refunded?" ?
I did it via online chat
Haha even better. In my experience the online chat people are a lot easier to deal with.
Thanks mateFantastic advice, I just did the same. They happily refunded the difference that I paid 10 days ago.
Hopefully we get some even better price competition during the Boxing Day sales.
Mmmm, yeah, keep waiting I think.
May i ask if google pixel pro is a good phone? ie. camera and battery life?
Thanks x
It is a good "small" phone
Best of the non-premium phones although not as cheap as the 8's were.
I disagree.
Google Pixel 9 Pro is a premium phone, best phone that google has. The camera is ranked #2 amongst smartphone on dxomark.
The Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL share the same camera hardware and the same chipset.
non premium? my brother in christ
Hey I'm a Pixel fan, on my 3rd one. And I do class it as premium.
I only said non-premium because that's I think most people would only class premium as Apple & Samsung 🤷
Have a skim through MKBHD's yearly phone awards.
I won't spoil the ranking here in case anyone is yet to watch / care
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E76CUtSHMrUmy guess is that pretty much these will be the top phones across the YT-verse
S24U
Iphone 16
Google Pixel Pro FoldMrwhosetheboss had phones from other contenders such as Xiaomi and Oppo. Can't remember much about MKBHD's one tho.
Terrible question to ask, pixel has the strongest fanbase, they will tell you how great everything is, while in reality it's just as good as any other flagship but with glaring flaws
I own the P9P.
My first one had a camera issue and I needed to return it. Once I got my second one I got beautiful shots. The AI features have actually come in pretty useful for me. The battery life is a bit so-so. Also the phone seems to run a bit hot compared with iphone or the samsung which is probably the cause of the average battery life.
I'd say I'm happy overall.
Yes, but the question is do you really want to immerse your entire life into the google sphere and do you really want a 4nm chipset, and an underperforming one at that, right when we are now finally at a generational leap when it comes to chipsets. For this money, if I was desperate for a phone right now I would just get a refurbished 24 Ultra.
I would say for someone like me who appreciates a "small" size phone then the s24u is not an option.
At this size I reckon all phones are as bad as the next one in terms of thermal, battery, performance. Except for 2 phones afaik which are the asus zenfone 10 (not selling anymore) and the vivo x200 mini (china only)
Good phone at this price, the XL is bigger. Google now offers a much longer story period for updates of that means anything to you.
Personally I have a Pixel 8a and find it unremarkable. Does it's job, fingerprint recognition is slow (and sometimes touch just flakes out), NFC is excellent, battery life is sufficient but not remarkable, performance is sufficient but not remarkable. But to me only significant difference to much cheaper Moto G 84 is the longer period of OS updates.
I assume you can price beat at office work for 10% off
5%
Not to be confused with the Pixel 9 Pro XL model
Good shout. Google absolutely sucks with naming.
Is $1647 an atl for the 512?
Price beat @ Officeworks!
final price?
Whats the atl for the 256gb model? I have had 128gb in the past and regretted it.
Does office works price match an online only item (512gb)? I got Rejected as its not stocked in store and they need to order in.
I've just manged to price beat at my local Officeworks store (Fountain Gate, Vic), but had to go instore to order it. Paid $1374 after the price match.
Thanks for the info :) I'll try another store then!
Just keen to know which version did you get?
I'm now waiting for a pixel 9 pro xl deal after realising the pro isn't as large as the 7 pixel pro
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/884143 there is a deal for Pro XL
Harvey Norman offers a 10% bonus gift card, today is the last day. That's the best deal I found.
"Bonus 10% in Gift Cards when you spend $250 or more* Ends 11:59PM AEDT 26/12/24"
https://www.harveynorman.com.au/google-pixel-9-pro.htmlIt's not available now.
I'm too late for party. Wonder I can still get JB Hifi to match the price.Sorry, this product is available to buy in-store only.
Call up your local store and ask - it is still this price in store.
You can even put your postcode and they can tell you which store has stock.
If you purchased within 14 days from JB HIFI, they will credit you the difference. Just ask for it.
