I think all these OLED 240hz Monitors use the same panel? Seems like a decent deal if you can do Click and Collect.

and for the GPU needed to run it? :(

      • Is 4070s enough for running this 4k 27" monitor?

        • Probably not, I think most would recommend at least the 4070 ti super with the extra VRAM

  • All the 27" QHD 240Hz OLED panels are currently LG, yes, but they're currently up to Gen 2.5 panels on the latest releases.

  • I think this also has a Matte finish not glossy.

  • This is the 1st gen of this monitor. The 2nd gen, 27GS95QE has higher brightness. A model with the 2nd gen panel without the rgb lighting on the back of the monitor was released recently, 27GS93QE (currently $899 from some retailers).

    27” 4k 240hz OLED panels are coming 2025.

Took me a couple of rereads but I think I understand now, god the naming on LG monitors is a learning curve.

      • Haha yeah, monitor naming is a nightmare.

        • The room where I have my PC has many windows, which can cause glare. What do you think the best value OLED high-hz QHD monitor with a matte finish is at the moment?

            • @YourImag1nat1on: Can’t go wrong with the AW2725DF, it’s a good monitor. It’s glossy though. The Samsung G6 is the same panel but has a matte coating. The 360Hz version (G60SD) is only available on the Samsung store, it’s been $759.05 before with old monitor trade in. The 240Hz version (G61SD) was released recently and is available from most retailers (it’s currently $849 at Mwave).

Otherwise, the LG monitors with the 2nd gen WOLED panels I mentioned above are just as good.

You might want to Google the difference between QD-OLED (Samsung) and WOLED (LG) panels because there’s pros and cons to both.

This is a great comparison between the 2 panels https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tools/compare/lg-27gs95qe-b-v….

@Boward Woward: Thanks for your help and info, I think I prefer the less grey blacks of the WOLED and the matte finish, but it seems like LG's value is not that great, maybe I'll wait for a good deal.

                • @YourImag1nat1on: WOLED blacks aren't really less grey unless you're shining a light on the Samsung panel. The Samsung's matte finish was specifically picked to reduce the effect, and in night/low light conditions or bright scenes it's a non-issue.

Go check a 2022 or 2023 edition Samsung OLED TV in a store to see how little impact that has in operation.

@Boward Woward: Samsung has been even lower than that, and their matte approach is far better than the standard LG one.

@jasswolf: To be honest I haven’t seen the G6 or G8 in real life, I’ve only read and watched reviews online. Good to know, thanks.
