  • thx, just ordered one.

    • +1

during checkout it says free shipping, not sure if they gonna shoot me an email asking for additional postage ship to SA, if the shipping is too expensive i will cancel

    • Please head over to the Original Code Post and give them a up-vote since they were first to post the code.

  • +1

Awesome thanks for the heads up. Ordered 2x PB2000's…. Yay!

  • I've been wanting one of these for so long!! How good are they? I've got a 12 inch Aaron and wondering if this will be better.

    • Same sub here and also wondering the same. Had the Aaron repaired once as the amp blew

    • -2

SVS subs are next level. You have to listen to them to know what I mean. Over 50 of my mates have switched after listening to mine. Neighbours may complain of rattling windows :)

      Mind you, they are big

      • +16

How do you have 50 mates. Let alone 50 that would all
        Buy a $1000 sub?

  • Ordered PB-2000 yesterday as soon as this deal came out. Free shipping to Mel as well so couldn't say no.

  • So I'm assuming they don't have stock on hand seeing as they're both pre-order. Any idea when they will get more stock?

    • Plenty of stock at the supplier…I already checked this earlier in the week.i presume they will order them in tomorrow as the supplier is closed weekends.

  • PB-2000 sold out as I was in checkout

    • Bah. That's what I get for deliberating.

  • +4

Thanks everyone, the PB-2000 is now sold out from us and the supplier. I'd suggest jumping on the SB-2000 if you still want a great deal on an SVS sub.

Don't forget, all the other items that you can apply the discount code to also!

    • So you won't be getting any more of the PB-2000 at this price?

      • Nah, supplier ran out of stock, and was only doing that pricing for black fortnight.
They still have sb-2000's good to go (although running low after our order now). I'm a fan of the sealed more so than the ported anyways.

        Cheers!

    • +1 for SB-2000. Needs AVR do distance management because they delay, at least if using low-level subwoofer output.

  • Hey Associtaed, going onto the Todd wesite, can you clarify which version of the SB-2000 is 20% off? Piano Black or Ash Black?

    • Just the gloss black/piano

      • Actually, both are 20 off their respective price. But the gloss black is part of the suppliers "black fortnight promo" so comes in cheaper.

        • +5

-1 for glossy - reflects in dark room HT.

      • other dealers are showing the ASH Black for the $1155

  • +1

look at Carlton Audio, THe Hifi Tailor, Applo Hifi, Dennis White, Melbourne Hifi etc etc seems your the only one not doing the black ash at the BLACK FORTNIGHT deal

    • +1

supplier shows as out of stock on the black ash units, so if someone has them, you should probably jump on it, cheers and have a lovely day! :)

    • +2

Those other places aren't doing the additional discount though right?

  • +2

Damn it really wanted the ported model but sold out. I wonder if digital cinema or Klapp will match these prices?

    • Can you try call em and report back?

    • If it's sold out nobody will price match

  • Hi Brad

Looking for a 500 dollarish set up to go with my LG C8

Recommend anything? Please and thank U

    • +2

$500 for a full set-up? you would be best suited getting a soundbar or buy secondhand if wanting a 5.1 set-up, you can save a massive amount and build a very good 5.1 system cheaply if buying second hand.

  • +1

It was really sad when the old man stopped being on the Todd's HiFI ads a few years ago, the guy was a real fixture of Brisbane TV in the 90s and early 00s.

  • Hey associated, would you have any stock of the PB2000 at your Tingalpa store? I'm not far from there and can come and pick it up today?

    • Sorry we aren't open, and sorry all the orders have been filled on all available stock. Will let you know if anyone cancels though?

      • Would be interested to know if anyone cancels

      • Yes, please PM me if anyone cancels

      • I'd like to know too please

    • +2

      Lol

    • +3

And you live in a tent because it's a whole lot cheaper than a house?
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:voting_guidelines

Quality products at great prices here.

      • -7

that's you opinion… and your entitled.

        • +6

It's "your" opinion, and "you're" entitled.

        • It's an informed opinion, unlike yours it seems. Which did you disagree with - the quality or the price?

          • -2

@[Deactivated]: half the world is starving and your trying to justify spending close to a thousand dollars on a plastic subwoofer… p.s. cheers for the spellcheck.

            • +2

@Well Wasted: I think you're on the wrong website for that sort of comment. Nevertheless it's poor form to invoke the misfortunes of others to try and score a point. I'll bite though. Despite its irrelevance, just fyi I've supported World Vision, Medicines Sans Frontieres and other charities for many years. What have you done for "world starving"?

PS have another look, I didn't comment on your "spelling" or your grammar, I commented on your lack of knowledge of the product and voting guidelines.

PPS Put your money where your mouth is and donate to: The Cambodian Children's Fund . Established by an Australian who gave up a lucrative film career and deserves sainthood.

    • It's like saying why buy a 250k-300k Merc S-class if i can get an 70s-80s S-class for 1k along with the headache of breaking down which comes with it. Parts alone will be more than what the car is worth. Yeah, take your pick then. If the sub is too expensive, then don't buy. It's your money afterall.

    • Seems your comment is Well Wasted.

  • That's all the SB-2000's gone now too people! Sorry to those that missed out

    • Was there any reason why the 2000s were on such big discounts and the 1000s were the same price?

      • Not sure, my guess is supplier had more stock of certain items so wanted to clear them, supply and demand etc etc

        • Fair enough, thanks for such a great deal anyway.

    • Hi Brad,

As this is a pre-order, do we have an expected fulfilment date?

      Thanks!

      • I spoke to them on the phone today.. Was told it was about 5 days from supplier and then would be shipped out. I was told expect it by Wednesday or so next week (Sydney Metro)

  • Was tempted but won't need a sub for atleast another year until I move to a new place. Hopefully better deals then

  • +2

Very tempted, but I held off. Just. Hope this deal comes around again someday.

  • Congrats to everyone that purchased one, i missed out by mere seconds.

    • me too :(

  • Thanks Marge!

  • Anyone know how these compare to Paradigm DSP-3200 v2?

  • Already have the yas 108 soundbar. Any recommendations for a sub to go with it?

    • If you are on a budget go for the Yamaha NS-SW100 10” Subwoofer in the deal.
Keep in mind both Yamaha Subwoofers are lacking cross-over controls.

      • With the lack of cross over control, is there much benefit in adding a sub? Or is there a sub that you would recommend that has cross over control?

        • +2

Depends how serious you are about audio.

If you just want to add more bass the Yamaha should be fine.
If you are serious about listening to music, and need a flat frequency-response then an adjustable cross-over would help to achieve that (blend the two together better).

          Basically the YAS-108’s built-in subwoofers play 60Hz – 160Hz (and up to 23KHz with the mid-range + tweeters).
          While the NS-SW100 will play 25Hz – 180Hz.
So there will be an overlap between 60Hz – 180Hz, causing a “hump” or boost in bass.
This bass-boost is typical in consumer products so some will be perfectly fine with how it sounds.

You could also lower the bass-level on the Soundbar itself to attempt to reduce this hump, so that the bass from the subwoofer blends better with the soundbar, although it will be less precise than with adjustable cross-over.

(A subwoofer with an adjustable cross-over would ideally be set somewhere between 45-55Hz so that it would roll-off into the soundbar’s 60Hz lowest point, then you will get a near-flat frequency response, then the subwoofer just plays up to 55Hz)

I have previously posted a deal on this cheap 8-inch Cerwin Vega XD8s which has adjustable cross-over. There is a difference in cabinet size and you may need to consider if the Yamaha is a better quality product.
The Cerwin Vega is currently $194 Delivered.
Another option with adjustable cross-over is the Voll S8 @ $199.95.
One user purchased the Voll S8 so you can ask them what they think about it.

  • Does pre-order mean it's out of stock?
Any what's shipping to West Coast, as the only option is free shipping to east coast?

    • It was “Pre Order” at the time of posting, in this case meaning they sourced from supplier.
Now PB-2000 is currently Out-of-stock at the supplier. All gone.

How much is delivery to WA?

  • Oh well, looks like I'm hanging onto my Yamaha YST-300. :)

  • Got any airplay 2 / 5.1 amps you'd recommend?

  • I have SB-2000, great subwoofer with nice punch.

  • After waiting out for the last graysonline post on the SUB E9F, i finally got my hands on the PB2000. Will definitely enjoy for many years to come.

    • +1

I think you mean the E12-F (equivalent 12-inch model).
Grays had that at a great-price as well ($575 Delivered here )
More than 50% off if I remember correctly.

Some places still trying to move the E-12F @ $1000. I’m pretty sure RRP is a bit higher than that.

  • Was looking at the SB-1000 for years, pulled the trigger on the SB-2000 yesterday. Can't wait to hear this thing slap.

    • You won't be disappointed. I have one and I'm irritated I missed out on this deal for a second one.

  • +2

Just an FYI - I reached out to Melbourne HiFi and Living Entertainment North Coast who both stock these items to see if they would match the deal and they advised that the Todd's deal must be a mistake as it is well below cost :)

  • Anyone got their order shipped yet? or received an estimate?

    • +2

As per my comment above, I spoke to them on the phone today.. Was told it was about 5 days from supplier and then would be shipped out. I was told expect it by Wednesday or so next week (Sydney Metro)

      • Thanks for that!
I just hope they really have enough stock to fulfill every order.

        • Well that must have tempted fate as they've just refunded me and told me they don't have enough stock. Anyone else get the same?

          • @roadeh: Ouch that sucks..
I got an email from them saying that the stock will be coming in the next few days.

  • Looks like they are back in stock…. and 20% hopefully still working….

    • Doesn't appear so? Which one are you referring to?

      • My bad, had an old version of the page saved in my tabs… hit refresh and it's gone.

        • All good, just got me excited for a bit haha

  • Don't check here for a few days and you miss out, damn.

  • Anyone else just get an email requesting additional $110 payment for shipping (discounted to $80) before order is released? I'm in North Queensland and live on the East Coast. Quite shocked to be honest

    • +1

Woow….that stings alright. Are they doing it to recover their lost as per the statement above??? I'm sure the OzB people will get mad upon receiving such email.

  • Just got delivery… OMBuddha, I did not expect the physical size of this thing…

Took me and the delivery guy to get it up the stairs to my apartment, and was an epic task getting it out and setup..

Could not be happier though, it absolutely destroys my little 4x6m room

    • SB2000 or PB2000?

Still no shipping confirmation for my SB.

      • I did not expect the physical size of this thing…

Most likely the PB-2000 (refer to measurements & weight in the deal description).
