    Yep, probably the worse time in the cycle to buy a console, with updated switches coming 2019 H2, likely new Sony and Microsoft iterations 2020, and new competitors (streaming services, Google Stadia, ?Amazon).

    I would hold out to a new supped up switch version in a few months (I'll be upgrading from version 1). But like with anything consumer tech, there's always a better version coming out and if you want it now don't let it stop you 😊

      The updated Switches are not new consoles, just iterations like Nintendo do with 3DS etc.

  If a pro version comes out the price will drop. It its just a lite/2ds type version then I can't see prices changing.

  Been around that price for the past year. Nothing against you OP but this simply isn't a deal any more. It's been $50+ cheaper on many many many ocassions during the past year. I bought mine at $400 in April 2017…

      If all the prices were at $500 right now for a Nintendo Switch and JB Hifi were selling it for $500 too would you still call it a bargain? Flawed Logic.

  Seems th Ebert price but same as others. EB is $399 too.
