  • Paid $722.16 on Black Friday. Stacked with $30 topcashback promotion and 10% off Amazon gift card. Amazon also gave me $30 promo credit due to the shipment delays which I still haven't receive my order yet :(

Order and received from the Black Friday sale. Great value device and have not had any issues with the SD slot yet. Would recommend

  • Anyone else's ally have super loud rumble? The rumble in my unit is so loud, even my wife asked if I could make it quieter.

That being said, great unit if you can get a good price.

  • Is this thing still got SD card slot issue?

    • +2

I dont think it ever got fixed, they simply released the Ally X upgraded version without the issue.

    • I've had mine for about a month using an SD card with no issues. Obviously not guaranteed that it's fixed but seems promising

    • I think it affects every Ally (non X)

Official ATI drivers got released recently for ROG Ally/X that allows AFMF2 which doubles you fps using generative frames. It does introduce a little bit of input delay but I haven't noticed the delay at all.

    • The Legion Go still doesn't have this. Lenovo's software has been extremely lacking.

I'm surprised anyone is buying this after the Gamers Nexus video.

    • My experience with Asus Australia regarding warranty was satisfactory.

    • Surely all prospective Ally buyers have seen every video about the device.

    • Manufacturer warranties are irrelevant in Australia, you return items to the shop.
