A couple of Ryobi deals as part of their Black Friday sale (via Bunnings):

Only difference is a 1.3Ah battery v 1.5Ah, however unlikely to make a material difference, especially if you have better capacity batteries floating around already.

N.B.
The link above shows a price of $99, however it was advertised at $89 on Ryobi's FB page here and when I picked one up tonight it scanned at $89 (receipt on thumbnail), hence I've headlined at $89 as I believe this is the correct price.

    Yeah that blower is a lot more powerful (air speeds of 145km/h vs 190km/h), and it comes with a fast charger vs the non-fast one that comes with this blower.

  I got the 2016 deals. Hedge trimmer was great, but line-trimmer very weak, so i flipped it on ebay.
  Somebody said though that better nylon line would help.

    I used thicker line on mine and it was ok. The i used the plastic blades and it was even better but wore out fast. So i replaced the blades with twisted wire and it was really good.

    Then I got an AEG brushless line trimmer and its epic. Just like a petrol line trimmer.

    I bought the Ryobi brushless line trimmer https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-one-18v-brushless-line-tri… and replaced the line with this https://www.bunnings.com.au/saber-cut-power-cut-trimmer-3-bl… Makes short work of grass and weeds! And no messing around with replacing line!

      Very interesting! How long have you had yours for? Do you still use the nylon line for cutting or just leave this on all the time?

        I just leave it on all the time. The caveat is that you can’t use it close to anything hard like a path or wall because it will snap the plastic. But I’m too lazy to do the edges so I spray weed killer around the lawn edge to stop it from over growing.
