AEG 18V 33cm 4.0Ah Brushless Line Trimmer Force Kit + in-Store 5Ah Battery Bonus + My AEG Bonus - $399 C&C/ in-Store @ Bunnings

70

Just purchased the AEG 18V Trimmer for $399 (4AH battery + charger in box) + there is currently an instant bonus 5AH battery (sells for $169) which you get when purchasing from the tools department.

Also AEG currently has a redemption bonus of either another 5AH battery or Edger attachment which I personally got.

Great deal in my opinion.

  • I think this is normal price and the bonus battery happens a few times a year at least. The kit was $354 around xmas/NY with bonus battery. They had the bonus battery until around late Jan and its on again. i'd get something with a wider cutting path and it doesnt cut through some of the bigger weeds we get.

This bargain gets the buyer an additional 5Ah battery. That's where the value proposition is. Makita (standalone company) over AEG (and the whole company umbrella that includes Ryobi and Milwaukee). If you are happy with the AEG ecosystem (sits above Ryobi and below Milwaukee, who is equal to Makita) this is better from a cost perspective.

        thanks
might wait for the next makita promo then
I am already in the Ryobi, Ozito & Makita ecosystem… not sure if I want add a 4th brand into the mix

        • I have the brushless ryobi 18v expand-it. Only downside is the string guard is s bit too small and lets a bit of debris fly at you. Otoh it has plenty of power and blows up plastic pots with ease. If your into ryobi and not into AEG the Ryobi equivalent already is a good enough tool.

The 36v brushed ryobi expand it is $249 with a 2ah batteryand charger.

  • I bought this last time they had the same deal. Whipper is great and gets through knee high grass no problem. Batteries don’t last long but that’s where the bonus battery saved me. I paid $379 in September

  • Had one for about 5 years. Goes good. I just use it for a quick spin around the back yard when needed.
