Just spotted this price drop. Annoying, as I paid $99 about 2 months ago.

Plenty of stock around with not too many stores nil stock. https://nrby.in/bunnings/0488986

My reason for buying it over a larger saw is because I just don't need the extra cut capacity, but your needs will probably differ. In fact my most used circular saw ever, is a Makita CXT 12V 85MM https://makita.com.au/cordless/cxt-12v-max/saws/circular-saw…

The blade choices for this size saw blade are more limited than a 165mm saw, but there are options.

This saw has a 10mm arbor, however, if you grab one of these $3 reduction rings, you can use any 150mm x 20mm arbor x 1mm or thicker blade. Can verify the rings are 1mm thick. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/395405241703?var=664072009620

Bosch have a few inexpensive ($20-$25) 150mm x 20mm arbor x 1,2mm thickness blades available. https://www.amazon.com.au/s?k=bosch+circular+saw+blade+150mm…

Also there are also quite a few 136mm blades with 10mm and 20mm arbor size available, just bear in mind you will lose 7mm cut capacity so may not be the best choice. Plus the tend to be a bit more pricey.

There is also this 140mm blade for $23. https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B00I527PGM?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_f…

Youre right the exact spec blades are a pain to come by - great research with adapting it with the reduction ring, thanks, wish i'd seen your msg a month ago (picked this up for $20 off marketplace bladeless).

Ended up using the ozito 18 tooth which was cheap $13 or so but will go for your adaptions with the finer blades rather than onselling mine out of frustration.

    • Had an Ozito saw for years, use it for rough jobs where I'd rather not use my Makita, the Ozito blades are crap when new, I doubt they are properly sharpened!, I've sharpened mine with an angle grinder one tooth at a time securing the blade to the bench with an "F" clamp and carefully eyeing up the grind, still cutting well years after sharpening it.

  • Glad I could be of some help.

These go alright but limit your expectations. Not a lot of grunt but good for your smaller cuts.

  • Give me Bosch Blue for this price :(

  • I bought a similar ozito circular saw, 150mm blade, 10mm arbor… I found the supplied blade to be ok for particle board, but the only blade I can find from Bunnings is the coarse 18 tooth blade…. It’s a shame because I’m otherwise happy with the saw for my needs.

Read the last half of the post. It explains a way to fit a range of finer blades fairly cheaply. Eg; 42T blade for $25 and another $3 for a reduction ring.

Same setup will work on your Ozito.

  • Buy another one and return it with the old docket. = profit!
