The link you've provided is not the deal link, nor mentioned in the deal description.
Go for it if u wanna get urself involved in a big financial drama. Personal experience abt coles cc (now its belonging to citibank)is every statement is messed up and confusing AND they promised u free annual fee for 1st year but they WILL charge you 99 bucks until u realise and call them AND every time before u access to any operator u have to press 1+2+1+3+1+5+2+1+1+3+1+1+2+1+….and wait for another 30mins to talk to some indian accent operator who locates in INDIA. Go for it if u like these. Good luck with that
Had good experience from them last year when I was given gold status with Velocity as well as 20k flybuys points.
Lucky you
I do not care what accent people have or where they are located, as long as they can help. But incidentally, I have only ever spoken with Citibank call centre representatives from the Philippines, not India. Their English is great, but their knowledge of stuff is not.
As for the runaround: yes, I have had that. My card got compromised (must have been an internal leak, as I am careful with that card), but payments kept coming through even after I blocked it. Instead of automatically blocking the charges, I had to make a large number of phone calls to get them to reimburse me. It was not automatic, despite the charges being very obviously fraudulent and after I blocked the card. I was wrongfully assured that I would not be charged for multiple payments that came out after I blocked the card, but they showed up on my statement anyway. I even had to lodge a dispute for something which was blatantly obvious - seriously, why should anyone have to dispute fraudulent charges occurring after a card is blocked?
Only reason I am with them is to exploit my zero-annual-fee Signature card and make free ATM withdrawals overseas on the Debit Plus card.
I haven't had any issues with my coles card even since Citibank took over - but I guess your mileage may vary.
Seriously highly dis-recommend this.
unfortunately coles are sinking like a stone in the customer care area. While they haven't yet reached the black hole of woolworths its just a matter of time.
guys its a huge hassle with coles finance team just an fyi based on experience
I can’t see this offer anywhere
in store they are advertising $0 balance transfers too 16months
does this apply too>?
Negative reviews . I want to apply for a credit card for the first time. Any recommendations for A no annual fee card?
28 degrees
any special product? whats good about them?
Bankwest Zero Platinum. It also does not have an annual fee nor currency conversion charges, but unlike 28 degrees it comes with complementary travel insurance if you buy your ticket with it. Have had my Bankwest Platinum card for a decade, and dumped 28 degrees for a Citibank Plus debit card when they started charging for overseas ATM withdrawal.
Same here
i've had no issues with Coles fee-free mastercard at all. Used it in Vietnam and Singapore with no problems.
It's been fine for me before and after Citibank acquisition. The points don't add up to much but it's something; worth it if you're already using Flybuys.
American Express Essential: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/266749
No annual fee, almost 1% cash back (if you claim your points at the right time of year), special Amex offers including Shop Small.
yes - this one of buyer beware

Had no issues with this about a year ago.
Applied > used card once to get $100 off > closed accountBe mindful that it can affect your credit score.
Does the credit score improve after you cancel the card?
In my experience the fraud detection/reimbursement has not been great with Latitude Financial (Coles & 28 Degrees cards). You have to work hard and ring back often to get anywhere - $100 received was 100% not worth the effort.
As per their company slogan, you can do better!
Coles credit cards aren't latitude - I think they're now Citibank?
Coles credit card is now operated by Citibank
Well that would explain it, as it matches my experience.
I don't think that $100 worth all the hassle to get it cancel. I had this card for almost 2 years. They changed the banks twice and wanted me to re-register (now with Citybank). I wanted to cancel this card and there is no option online to cancel it, nor you can find an option when call the hotline.
You would have to press a wrong input several times in order to get to a real person. Then they will try to sell you another card.
Just watch out on this card, as Citibank has bought Coles Mastercard from wesfarmers and their new Coles website and customer service are absolutely crap.
Unless you like Bpay, you can't set up Direct payments on the website but you rather have to send in a scanned, filled out form to set up Direct debit.
Applied for the card just now because spouse's coles credit card never had any issues so far… but now that the promo page is disappearing mysteriously, i'm getting anxious if they will honor the promo :(
next time better call first…
That's dodgy
What do you mean the promo page is disappearing? It still works for me. Are you using the main deal link?
If they don't honour the promo then use the screenshot I posted earlier to support your case.
Uhhh I applied for another Coles card last week instead…
Are we allowed to have 2 from the same company?
yes but you best for 9 months as per Citibank rules
Got the card, called call center & they can't confirm the promotion.. :(
so I guess will have to walk into Coles & try it out..got the card . Called the call center to activate but before that asked if that promo is being offered.. They dont honor the promotion and offering 6 months BTF. What should be done?
Call center couldn't confirm the $100 promotion when I called them last week, said that it wasn't showing on their system..
Activated the card anyway (since I already got it), made the first purchase (to test if it was successfully activated), and went to Coles 4 days after (to try my luck). Consciously took the self-assisted check-out counter, scanned all the groceries (mostly 5kg sunrice being 50% catalogue sale this week, was planning to return it ASAP if I don't get $100 off), and GOT the $100 off. It was prompted on the screen as you select "pay now".
Hope it helps, good luck.
Can't see this anywhere. Please clarify.
$100 off a single Coles supermarket shop if you apply by Saturday 30 June 2018 and make a purchase within 30 days
I do see free delivery for over $100 though.
