    Novice question, but can I just sign up to an ABN and apply? Or are you assessed on the income you get through the business? I may have overlooked this in the T&Cs, but it wasn't immediately clear.

      To apply for an American Express Velocity Business Card you need to:
      Be aged 18 years or over
      Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
      Be a Director or Controller of the business
      Have a good credit history and no payment defaults
      Have an annual business revenue of $75,000 or more
      Have a valid ABN registered for GST

    I feel so ripped off getting only 100k and pretty much no perks and a shit $ to point ratio…

    I called up to cancel this however and got 20k free velocity point not to cancel on the spot.

        I got offered it direct from them after getting a personal one. Personal one had better perks

              @stewface: I just called them. I was basically told I have to reapply, but I’m 99% sure the new card won’t be approved because I already have an existing account. Bit of a shame

      Is that legal? I thought cc companies couldn't offer you incentives to stay if you request to cancel.

    I think the 120k deal is better since you get 1 complimentary return flight which includes PER to Syd/Mel return worth $600+ and unlimited lounge passes when flying virgin not just 2

      yes, I applied last year after creating an ABN, got approved for this card, even though I kept getting rejected for the personal amex cards.

          They didn't ask any documents from the business.
          Just asked me on the phone does your business make $75000 a year. I just said yes haha
          So if you keep getting rejected for personal card, just quickly setup an ABN and try apply for the business card.
