          Hi zonbie. Not quite sure I understand. In order to track, you must click out of Cashrewards via the Shop Now button on the Amaysim Merchant Page. If you did, you will see a click-out to Amaysim at time of purchase in My Account/Click History. Do you see the click?

        • Hi TA. I have been on/with Cash Rewards for a little while now, and use it normally, and have racked up a few $$$ on my account, and even have some $$$ that have matured and are ready to spend! I bought my AMAYSIM SIM this way:
          - Signed onto my Cash Rewards account, and then and found the AMAYSIM link and deal on the Cash Rewards site.
          - Then clicked through to the AMAYSIM deal, and followed the buy the sim process.
          - Payed for it online all as normal.
          - SIM has arrived and it was activated already. I have used it, and find the OPTUS 4G service from AMAYSIM quite good.
          I thought I would see a pending activation on my Cash Rewards Account that would then move to complete, after 15 days of activating the SIM.

          Unfortunately I have not seen anything on my Cash Rewards Accounts page yet pointing to any advice or information from AMAYSIM. ps. I am a new Customer to AMAYSIM.

          Any help/advice appreciated

      • so i used their online chat service. They suggested me to buy a $2 sim in store and get it activated and would credit $2 to my account but can't withdraw it to my CR.

      • Another one here that have not received the sim…. Was told the same.. go and buy a $2 sim and do the replacement sim thing straight after. Am credited $12 for the lost time and cost of sim…. Not really off to a good start as a prepaid service….

  • I rang them also and was told to go out and buy a $2 sim and they would credit my account for @, and also credit me back $4.24 for the amount of time I've lost this period. So now I have to go out and get a sim. Hopefully this doesn't interfere with CR??

  • Received SIM card a few days ago but haven't bothered activating it. Just checked online and it's pre-activated. 18 days left. Purchase was not tracked on Cashrewards.

        Just slightly annoyed at Amaysim for pre-activating the SIM which causes me to lose 10 days of service already.

          We will, nothing surer. And I understand your frustration re pre-activation. If it was me, I'd be jumping on a chat session and asking Amaysim to credit the lost days. Can't see why you & others should be inconvenienced.

          Others here reported only added pretty useless credit. That was my experience - refused to extend last time I used Amaysim.

          What other business sells & charges for a service (28 days) knowing they can't deliver that (as SIM is preactivated).

          I'm still waiting for my SIM & also only have 18 days left on account.

          @Infidel: And credit is useful only if you want to continue to use their service after the first month I suppose. If you don't, you will be converted to PAYG and pay the call charges using the credit and won't last for too long… :(

          Yes - or others have put it towards data purchase ($10/GB). 11 days lost service is about $10 credit, so they may credit 1GB if you're lucky.
          Found keeping the SIM just to use up credit on calls wasn't really worth it last time I used Amayslow.

          Lucky I bought $1 Kogan SIM & should get $32 back thanks to TA & CashRewards, or might be upset ;-)

    Do Amayasim auto activate it for you when they ship it or something? Dodgy as.

        I think you missed the point of my comment, lol. Was less focused on the delivery and more focused on that Amaysim activate it before sending it out, meaning the customer is getting stooged.
        But you are correct, I didn't find any tracking info, so it would of been sent via standard post I would assume.

        • Oh, I didn't miss your point. Was just mentioning the reason why you couldn't find any tracking information. I got mine today via normal letter post. It was also pre-activated so it's fairly dodgy how it's done. :)

    Glad that I'm getting $22 out of this or else it would not be worth it at all.

    Amaysim pre-activating the sim is dodgey as, If I weren't getting the cashback I would be really upset about that.

    Also direct comparison: same phone, same location:

    Kogan Mobile (Vodafail): 55mbit/12mbit
    Amaysim: 9mbit/1mbit

        That was kind of my whole point. I am satisfied because they are giving me $22. I would not be satisfied at all if I were a regular customer as there are better deals around.

        It's all well and good to give us ozbargainers $22 but it's not going to win them any long term customers if they don't make the product and service good.

        • @PR0r: Log into your Amaysim account to make sure your SIM has been activated (number of days remaining less than 28). In that case you shouldn't need to do anything else. My Cashback has come through today (approved and available to pay out).

        Once finishing your order it will tell you to verify your ID to process the activation. You only complete that last step once the sim has come otherwise you will be charged the days while the sim is still being sent!!

        • Only true for a few. If you've already had an account, ID is verified automatically, so SIM is activated before being slowly delivered. There have been so many Amaysim deals, many Ozbargainers have already provided ID.

          No - ID is checked on Amaysim system, but a new account (new email) did get $32 payout for me. That's as TA said it would in Deal Description.

        Not if info is incorrect for many Ozbargainers. BrodenIt is fairly new to OzBargain & must have missed the many previous Amaysim deals, so was a new account customer, with no ID on Amaysim's system. I'd already suggested this approach for new account customers.

      Had discussed the case of new accounts needing ID before SIM is activated 10 days ago…
      "Other order on new account for family member requires ID before SIM can be activated. So no problem activating later & should receive Cashback"

      An account for a family member asked for ID. As they had already used Amaysim years ago like I did, was surprised their SIM arrived with "preactivated" sticker, but needed activation, whereas mine had 11 days used. They had accidentally entered different first name to that on ID, so will have to contact Amaysim to have account name corrected, plus prove ID.

    Hi all. We have just bulk approved a few thousand $32 cashbacks that have been reported to us as 'active' by Amaysim. Many more will be approved in the coming days. I repeat what I've said in earlier comments… If for whatever reason your sale hasn't tracked, two things are critical. Did you order as a new customer and is there a click out to Amaysim in your CR account at time of purchase? If yes to both, please open a support ticket via Contact Us and the customer service team will take care of it for you. Please ensure you upload your Amaysim invoice. Finally, you must activate your SIM by June 30. Thanks.

  • Got my cash rewards too…. most importantly though whats the easiest way to cancel this now?
    Not sure if anyone has noticed but we placed our CC or Debit card details in on sign up.
    I logged in and changed mine to 'Bpay/Vouchers'… thinking they can't debit my account if I have changed this. I assume it will expire out.
    To cancel there seems to be some effort as you have to call or Live Chat wit them. There is no cancellation option in online portal.

    • Change auto-recharge to off, under Settings - Plan Settings.

      If SIM arrived preactivated & late, chat & get a part refund. (SIM goes to Pay as you Go if auto-recharge to off, so can use credit for calls after expiry of current plan)

      So no real reason to cancel. SIM eventually is deactivated. But changing payment method to Bpay etc is probably extra precaution.

  • There's a pretty useless Amaysim app for Android - shows credit, data remaining, expiry date, & days left (mine shows 354!).

      SIM is sent preactivated, as long as ID is given. So if you want the SIM & the money - order.

      You need to provide ID by 30/6 to activate SIM if never had an Amaysim account before (previous ID is stored on their system). Your account will request ID if you need to provide it.

  • Unusual - my SIM had a sticker saying it was already pre-activated, yet when I log into the account, it says I need to activate!

    • If you have not already provided ID (or had a previous account in same name & provided ID for it), you need to provide ID before SIM is activated. That way you get full 28 days. All SIM would be sent with that sticker.

  • I was told that they cannot extend the expire date of the account, but they give $5 credit. If not because of CR offers, I wouldn’t be dealing with Amaysim as they don’t do a good business ethics (ie. activating the SIM card at the order time, rather than customer’s activation time).

  • So what's the consensus amongst OzBargainers regarding cancelling the SIM. I only signed up for the offer and no longer want to continue. I have my payment method set to BPay and hope this will kill off the account eventually.

    & on the second of the order page, I see that the account number is the mobile number that I am going to port across. I've used Amaysim for this number in the past. Would this make me an "old" customer and no eligible for the cash back?

    From some people's comments look like it can take around 10 days from purchase before the SIM arrives?
    Am I only be able to do the activation after I receive the SIM or is there a way I can activate my SIM that I purchase while it's being shipped?
