10FOR6

This one is a no brainer. Purchase the Amaysim 1.5GB Unlimited SIM at the reduced price of $9.90 (down from $24.90) using coupon 10FOR6, and Cashrewards will deposit $32 into your account approved within 15 days of activating the SIM. No tricks, no gimmicks. Did a lot of work with Amaysim to get them to agree to these terms, so buy and enjoy :)

Please read these important guidelines:

  • You must click out through the Cashrewards link in this post (then select Shop Now)
  • If you have an existing Amaysim acct, you'll need to first sign up to Amaysim with a new/different email address to access this promo
  • Order the $24.90 SIM with coupon 10FOR6 which reduces the price to $9.90
  • You must order a new SIM (not a replacement SIM)
  • Cashback will be APPROVED in your CR acct no later than 15 days after activation of SIM
  • Edit 12:40pm Amaysim has advised the SIM must be activated by June 30 to avail of the $32 cashback
  • Only one cashback of $32 per Cashrewards account permitted
  • Offer applies only to the discounted $9.90 kit, so please ignore other T&Cs on CR for other plans
  • This cashback offer expires 11:59pm AEST June 30
  • Remember that AdBlock may cause issues with tracking technology, so it'd be wise to disable it first

Please note the change above: the SIM must be activated by June 30 to avail of the $32 cashback

Apologies for this late change, but totally out of my hands. Amaysim communicated this via email at 12:40pm.

    I love you Tightarse.

      lol who doesn't? oh it's a name!

  • Down from $24.90 isn't it?
ahh, $29.90 for the sim, $24.90 per month

  • If I am already with Amaysim, would I need to port out and then back in to 'activate'?

    • +1

That's always the case if you want to use the starter pack.

    • +2

Or you could activate this new sim with new number and just use data and grab cash lol.

    • hi I suggest you call Amaysim first to see if they will allow to port out and in - last time I called they said it wasnt possible.

  • +3

Is there a max limit on how many people can redeem the cashback?

  • so you pay 9.9 and get $32 cashback?

    • +2

Need to remain active for 60 days so you need to add 1 recharge at least.

      • +1

Where does it say that? If you get cashback in 15 days of activation you can just cancel at that point.

        • +1

sorry TA confirmed below this is not a requirement for this particular sim.

        • +2

          @tajid:

I checked T&C and it says "Cashback is paid only on a new service (SIM) which is activated within 3 months of purchase and remains active for 60 days after."

        • @khing: If need to remain active for 60days, does that mean we are paying 9.9+24.9 to get a $32 cashback??

  • Thanks just ordered. Expecting $32 in my CR account in two weeks. Cheers OP you da man!

    • +5

Expecting $32 in my CR account in two weeks.

Within 15 days of activation date, not purchase date :)

      • +1

OH Yeh don't matter as long as the $$$$ come through haha

      • Hi TA, I have ordered but mentioned my number that I need to port to Amaysim and not getting a new number will this ok for cashback offer. Do I have to order a new number in order to be eligible for the cashback? What do you mean by must order a new SIM not a replacement SIM?

      • the estimate approval date shows in my cashreward is 07/09,does it matter?

      • Hey bro, how many times can we purchase the $9.90 and get $32?

        • Only one cashback of $32 per Cashrewards account permitted

      • Thanks OP, I got the $32 credit today on account.. Secondly the Amaysim quality is good compare to Lebara and Lyca..
A quick question - Do I need to disable the auto-renewal somewhere or will be I shared at the end of 30 days?

      • HI…Its been more than 15 days and I havent received it yest? Can you please advise? than you

  • +5

    Damn!

Just switched over to this plan a few weeks ago (was prepared for some porting pain, but it was actually a seamless experience).

Not sure if it's worth the time and effort of porting out then back in (if that's even possible?) for $32…

    (hands in OzBargain membership)

    • Problem lies when porting out! If you need to port out after the 3mths, ensure you have a few days backup for porting to happen.

  • I hit the "Complete Order" but still waiting :-(

  • +1

Am I bound to have my sim auto-recharged? Like most, I just want to sign up for the cashback and dispose of the sim after.

    • +3

      Like most

      FIFY Like all lol

    • "activated within 3 months of purchase and remains active for 60 days after." So cashrewards will likely not pay up if you do that

      • Does active mean you have to continue paying for it?

  • I know you said we can purchase this until 30 June but I'm worried people are going to go crazy on this, I won't be able to order a sim until Tuesday so is there any chance this will get totally ozbargained and Cash Rewards will take this down? Cause if there's a chance it'll get taken down because everyone here went nuts I'll try and find a way to order today instead of Tuesday…

    • +2

      Try to order today.

    • +5

Yes how do we know Amaysim will be overwhelmed and decide to cancel it? Makes no sense to be paying out $32 when they only earn $9.90.

      • +5

Some of those customers will be retained. The whole exercise is about using $32 as a trojan horse to get people in the door. Some will leave, some will stay and end up spending more than $32. It's no different from handing out free samples.

  • +1

Is this for "new" member only or also for members who had account with amayasim before but account is closed / not active?

  • +1

"Cashback is paid only on a new service (SIM) which is activated within 3 months of purchase and remains active for 60 days after. If however the service (SIM) is not activated within 3 months of purchase, the sale will be deemed cancelled and cashback will not be awarded."

Many of us who port monthly wouldn't keep it active for 60 days!? Will they then reverse the cashback?

    • Please read the post…

You must order a new SIM (not a replacement SIM)

      and

Offer applies only to the discounted $9.90 kit, so please ignore other T&Cs on CR for other plans

      • I did read it since your post links to that page. Also if you've already claimed the $45 through Cashrewards are you eligible for this?

EDIT - Please answer my second question TA.

      • So Rep, it sounds like we need to have at least 1 recharge to keep it active for 60 days or is there another way of keeping the SIM active for 60 days without recharging after activation?

        • +6

As I stated in another comment below, that is not a requirement, as approved cashback is processed 15 days after activation.

        • @tightarse:

What happens if we use up all the data and port out before 15 days?

        • +1

I may be wrong, but to me an active sim with a nil balance and only able to receive calls is still active so do not port out or cancel within 60 days.

        • @bigticket: I've taken up cashback deals with amaysim that require the account to be active to get the CB. Did not recharge (remained PAYG) and never got the CB. In that case, it didn't count as active.

      • Eh TA, any idea how to turn off auto renewal? I don't seem to see such option on the site.

    • Can we opt not to auto recharge? If we can, that means we can have the sim active for 60 days.

  • Does this work fine for new numbers? I already have 2 numbers with different providers, so this will be my third.

    • +5

      Only 3 numbers, lightweight.

      • +2

new to the game, can confirm will catch up soon ;)

  • +1

    easy money….

  • +1

TA …."activated within 3 months of purchase and remains active for 60 days after." Might be worthwhile putting this in the post for the benefit of "simhoppers"

    • +1

That is not a requirement, as the approved cashback is processed 15 days after activation. We're not going to ask for the money back :)

Offer applies only to the discounted $9.90 kit, so please ignore other T&Cs on CR for other plans

      • "activated within 3 months of purchase" its still in the conditions….is this valid or?

        • +1

No. As stated in the OP, for this particular offer, SIM must be activated by June 30. The terms you are referring to are for all other Amaysim products. Take a look at the 8th dot point in the OP.

        • -1

Its still showing on the CR site…. maybe this should change. Also…due to the formatting on the CR site I cant view the special conditions for this particular deal…When I scroll it scrolls the page behind not the popup…..

        • -2

Ok so there are special terms (which I cant read) and details for the deal….convoluted…and poorly designed

      • Cash Rewards are showing approval date to be 14 Sept NOT 15 days from activation — what gives ?

  • how to order? can I select "get a new number" and then when I activate the sim by porting my existing number?

e.g I want to activate the sim on 1st July by porting my current number to amaysim, should I select "Keep your current number" for now during the purchase?

  • Cheers TA, ordered one!

    • +3

      Just got the email:

This is your Cashrewards tracking receipt for your recent purchase at amaysim.
      Expected cashback: AUD 32.00

  • +4

This is great and all, but I remember doing going to Amaysim with cashrewards, but I the cashback was rejected for some reason. I ported out of Amaysim soon after I saw them decline the cashback.

    • +4

I am in the same boat, the cashrewards was rejected even though it was said on here it would be approved. Not sure if I can be bothered for it to be rejected again.

    • +1

Ditto, I've only had one cashrewards ever rejected, and it was by Amaysim, so I'm concerned about whether they'll honour this… but if tightarse says they will, I'll take it that they will.

  • +4

    "Your plan

You’ve chosen to pay for your Prepaid service using a credit or debit card. Your plan will auto-renew at the end of every plan period by debiting your card, unless you turn off auto-renew."

Make sure to turn off auto renew.

    • How do you turn off auto renew? Could not see that on my account?

      • You will be able to do this after you activate your number.

  • +2

    TA - couple of questions:

    1. The title specifies Prepaid, but you can also activate this as Postpaid - does the terms / cashback still apply if I choose Postpaid?

    2. Do the account details have to match between Cashrewards and Amaysim (ie: can I log in to my Cashrewards account, but then enter my old mans details as the account holder within Amaysim)?

    • Yes, I was just wondering if my mate could by one and give me the starter pack?

I assumed that they would cross reference the ID's?

    • +3

Hi kirt. Sorry for the delayed response, but wanted to get an official answer from Amaysim. Yes works for both prepaid and postpaid, so I've removed Prepaid from title. And details do not need to match between CR & Amasim. They are totally independent :)

      • +1

        Legend ;)

      • +1

Thank you TA, for your efforts and prompt response.

      • TA would you happen to know (as an extension to kirt's second question)

I understand we are recommended to make a new Amaysim account to avail this offer (i.e. no reusing old Amaysim emails from a service from 2 years ago) - but what about if we used the same ID to verify our account for two different email addresses?

  • OK ordered one.
Now, remind me again, why do I want it?

    • +5

      Free money?

  • I have an account with two sims, one for my phone and one for my ipad. Would this offer work if I port out and back in for my phone, or not, since I would still have the ipad sim account?

  • Going through Amaysim's own page (https://www.amaysim.com.au/plans/mobile-plans), it says you can get the $9.90 rate for the first six months. Would this also apply by clicking the link through CR? The promotion code is the same.

In other words, by going through the offer on CR, do you get the cashback plus the reduced rate for the first six months?

    • It sounds like the case if you activate by 30 June.

There's two sets of T&Cs at play here:

      a) Cashrewards: Activate within 3 months of purchase, get $32 cashback.

      b) Amaysim 10FOR6: Activate by 30 June, get 5 recharges at $9.90 each.

      • +1

The promotion code advertised here and on amaysim's own website is the same, so that's where the confusion lies. The OP's guidelines also don't specify the six month thing, which is why I've raised the question.

I guess my point is: if you're going to stay with amaysim for the long haul (i.e. 6 months or longer), it may be better to sign up directly through amaysim's website, as you could be better off than potentially signing up through this deal, and only claiming a one-off cashback.

        • Yeah it's also why I was wondering as I planned to use the SIM for 6 months but was going to activate in September (when my current 6 month promo ends).

Now that the terms have changed to activate by 30 June it's all moot.

I have no use for the SIM but had already ordered it.

So now I will activate with a new number and just throw it away to get my $32!

  • Cheers! Earned myself a breakfast and lunch out for today :P

    • +4

Maybe wait until it comes through then eat out!

      • +1

Cashrewards has let me down only once and it was just few days ago when I bought my mobile from the eBay sale 2 days ago… The transaction did not register. But it was only few bucks, not worth a tear.

So now it is time to get some back :D

And I already had the brekkie at Maccas, darn it!

        • Yeah CR hasn't really let me down yet, everything has registered in 'click history' so far, I don't actually compare that with the actual cashback tab though..

        • +2

@leTintin: Well, I bought over $300 from eBay mid-March and some how it didn't register even though the click history show a click to eBay 10 minutes prior to my transaction time :(

        • +1

Make sure you completely disable any ad blockers - disabling them for the pages isn't enough IME. I actually use a different browser with only the Cashrewards extension installed for Cashrewards purchases just to avoid the hassle.

The first time I had this problem, I emailed them and they soon after approved the cashback "in good faith". I had used the extension which confirmed cashback was active and disabled ad block for the pages but that still wasn't enough.

    • +3

Dont count your chicken before they are hatched

  • Trying to reuse an existing Amaysim prepaid number and am getting this:
ERROR - PHONENUMBER exists in ECGateway already!

    • You will need to port out and port back in.

    • ECGateway? What… Is easternculture running the show at amaysim or what :P

  • Thanks TA! Just played around with the new mobile number area and got a new number which I actually love!

    • Trying to access MyAccount and I get

Sorry, we’re down for some planned maintenance right now.
Don’t worry, we should be up and running again soon, so make sure you swing by again in a little while.

      Ozbargain'd?

  • Ordered. Thanks TA! Approximately $5 per month for next 5(.6) months with Amaysim. Unless another deal lure me out!!

Edit: Forgot to use the referral. Lost $5!

    • Can you use referral?
