eBay 10% off Sitewide (Min Spend $100, Max Discount $300, 3 Transactions, Excludes Postage)

CRUSHONYOU

eBay is offering 10% off everything starting Tuesday 09.02.16.

Cashback Rate
Cashrewards 1.25%
PricePal 1.25%
ShopandMint 2% - 2.50%

I received a targeted offer from eBay for 10% off, but I didn't use and it was expired, so I called eBay to see, if they can re-generate a 10% code again. That's when eBay reps told me over the phone that eBay is actually having a 10% OFF SITEWIDE promotion from 09.02.2016 at 10:00AM till 12.02.2016

  • End date: Friday 12/02/16
  • 10% off site wide (excludes postage)
  • Minimum spend $100, maximum discount $300.
  • Limit 3 transactions per person during the Offer Period.
  • The following categories are excluded: Services (316), Cars, Bikes, Boats (9800), Tickets, Travel (11,730) and Gift Cards (172,009).

FAQ: I just checked my PayPal invoice and I have been charged the full amount!

Mod Note: PayPal may appear to show that you have paid the full amount - however if you click on the transaction details it will show that 10% has been paid via voucher. Example from previous deal

        • @anglais88: I could say the same to you. Why would any accountant have a problem with this when you've paid the full amount and it even says so on the invoice?

        • I agree all the documentation is there, and on the surface an accountant might let this go through. Even I would consider claiming the full amount.

I'm just trying to point out that the ATO would not see this the same. The amount that leaves your bank is what counts, not what's on paper. Of course if you never get audited it's not going to be an issue.

        • @anglais88: There is nothing to hide. You have paid the full amount.

        • @Orpheus: How have you paid the full amount if someone else paid 10% for you?
Are you 100% confident it would pass an ATO audit?

        • @eug: Because that's how these eBay coupon codes work. Check your Paypal. Check your invoice.

        • @Orpheus: My paypal receipts clearly state that I paid the amount minus the discount.

It's exactly like buying something from e.g. a Myer sale. The receipt shows the full price, the discount amount, and the price I actually paid.

Are you 100% confident it will pass an ATO audit?

        • @eug: All invoices I have received show I have paid the full amount. The TRS uses the invoice as proof in order to get your tax back.

        • @Orpheus: TRS? We were talking about claiming items on tax, e.g. a business expense.

    • +4

Last time my invoice showed the full amount, and I got TRS on the full amount.

Just picked up a pretty decent deal on the Breville Milk Cafe Frother BMF600 (Previously low price was $119 late last year with Myer that I can see, or pick a up price of $109 from Appliance Warehouse (Which Sold Out) if you lived near them). Normal price at Good Guys and Myer is $149

Myer store on eBay have the unit on reduced sale from today for $126.65, with the 10% off I paid just $113.98. I have been looking for one of these for a couple of weeks, and can see that GoodGuys have theirs reduced too, but not as cheap as Myer. Free delivery too :-)

Good thing about Myer is that if you have any issues (Faulty) you can then go to your local store. Great no nonsense service compared to buying at some of thew box movers.

    Thanks OP.

  • goddammnit….I've spent $1000 and forgot to use cash rewards. There's no hope of retrospective claiming is there?

    • Nope.. only if you cancelled and bought again. Its only $12.

  • I recently purchased a Lenovo laptop via this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/233585#comment-3453727,

And I wanted to buy a SSD for this new laptop, found that PC Byte eBay has Samsung 250GB 850 Evo SSD for $127.90. Which comes down to $115.11

    Hope that helps someone! :)

  • Just bought a Dell XPS 15 top of the line specs:

    Saved $299.90 + Cashrewards + flying overseas soon…

  • Hey Guys,

I am interested in getting an LG fridge from The Good Guys ebay shop and to claim the cash card offer currently offered by LG but it states in the T&Cs that it excludes purchases from ebay (or other auction sites)…do you think this clause was meant in the sense of buying goods of sellers (not retailers)?

If anyone has bought from The Good Guys ebay store, can you please let me know if they send you a separate invoice? And whether that states you ordered via Ebay? TIA!

    • Doesn't matter even if you order pn their eBay store, TGG will provide you a Normal Tax invoice, it'll be fine. And Yes I believe that clause was meant in the sense of buying goods of other sellers (not participating)

    • They most definitely send you / give you a proper good guys invoice. Bought a Dyson via them last time there was a 20% offer on eBay and they email you an invoice rather than the usual paypal/ebay receipt. Same again when I bought a Fitbit through them via eBay.

      • Thanks guys! Will order it today :)

  • HI just double check or if anyone experience this before.

If I make a best offer for an item.

If the seller accepted and when I make a payment, can I still use this 10% discount code?

    Please let me know.
    THanks

    • Yes it works, I just tried.

grabbed 2 sonos play 3's $375ea, RRP (and usual JB Price) is $450.

  • -1

10% off is really peanuts when every seller jacked up their price. I'm going to wait for their next 20% off code instead.

    • 10% off is really peanuts when every seller jacked up their price. I'm going to wait for their next 20% off code instead.

Where is your proof that EVERY seller jacked up their price? Oh that's right you have none and it's yet another throwaway pointless comment.

saw this seller on ebay is quite aggressive on prices
    freeshippingtech

    just fyi

  • This item says $16.95 RRP with $12.95 sale price on their normal website.. what bullshit.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Chateau-Spill-Red-Wine-Stain-…

    • +1

      So what?

with $12.95 sale price on their normal website

      Well ummm, derr… Ebay is $22 less 10% = $19.80 delivered.

Their website is $12.95 plus $7.50 postage = $20.45 total.

      what bullshit

      … maths you have.

Either way, you can get that exact same item for under $18 delivered on eBay.

Sounds like you don't know how to search eBay. Why are you even looking at the more expensive ones?

  • Awesome!
Just bought some verticals from Yes Blinds and saved $43.00.

Edit: their prices have dropped nearly 10% since last year. I bought a 1500mm vertical blind kit for $90 delivered last year, it's now $80.24.
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/131720314534?var=431095633509

As I ordered five blinds tonight, this deal made for a nice saving. Cheers!

  • Is that coupon code C|RUSHONYOU like the others or crushOnYou? Lol

  • damn, was hoping to pick up a pair of astro a40's + mix amp for a decent price. maybe next time!

what about multiple items in different currency?

        e.g. Aus + USA dollar

  • +1

15% sale around the corner. I'd wait ;)

    • Really ?

    • -3

      I'm expecting 20-25% before May.

    • -3

      would it be entire site?

      • +6

        Pretty sure the entire internet.

        • not always

sometimes they do 15% but only on some major stores

  • Anyone know what time this will end?

    • +1

Does all items need to be in the same currency?
Because I can't find anything mentioned about this on Terms and condition.

  • Any one know of anything semi-useful for around $1 I can add to my $99 hard drive?

    • +2

You can always do with more phone charger cables

      • Yeah was thinking that too, doesn't matter though because Officeworks decided to pull all of the listings.

  • This was a fizzer.

    December spend + $4.5k plus @ 19% off

    This time around = $0

ebay shooting themselves in the foot

  • just made it .. procrastinated for 99% of sale time.. rushed with 50m to go drop a quick $350 lol

  • made a $830 order on the 9th.

    $30 item received cashrewards email
$800 item did not receive cashrewards email…

so CR does not give cash back for the expensive items??

    • Was it all in one transaction?
If so then you should contact CR and have them look at it. Otherwise, maybe it will come in two tracking emails if it was done in two separate transactions.

I've received cashback on many high value purchases without problems.
      1357.00 -> 33.92
      896.99 -> 22.42
      487.99 -> 12.20
      1299.00 -> 38.97
      3189.00 -> 127.56

      • yes it was one transaction. in the past it's always been fine, multiple items multiple emails.

        • I would send them a message with your transaction details then.

Point out that it only partially tracked even though it was completed in one transaction.
