eBay 10% off Sitewide (Min Spend $100, Max Discount $300, 3 Transactions, Excludes Postage)

7980
CRUSHONYOU

eBay is offering 10% off everything starting Tuesday 09.02.16.

Cashback Rate
Cashrewards 1.25%
PricePal 1.25%
ShopandMint 2% - 2.50%

I received a targeted offer from eBay for 10% off, but I didn't use and it was expired, so I called eBay to see, if they can re-generate a 10% code again. That's when eBay reps told me over the phone that eBay is actually having a 10% OFF SITEWIDE promotion from 09.02.2016 at 10:00AM till 12.02.2016

  • End date: Friday 12/02/16
  • 10% off site wide (excludes postage)
  • Minimum spend $100, maximum discount $300.
  • Limit 3 transactions per person during the Offer Period.
  • The following categories are excluded: Services (316), Cars, Bikes, Boats (9800), Tickets, Travel (11,730) and Gift Cards (172,009).

FAQ: I just checked my PayPal invoice and I have been charged the full amount!

Mod Note: PayPal may appear to show that you have paid the full amount - however if you click on the transaction details it will show that 10% has been paid via voucher. Example from previous deal

          HAHAHAHAHHA i love you clear

        • +1

@Clear: Beware! One touch and you're out!

    • You have to use the code for the discount or you don't get the discount!

  • Nice, right on time as there's a few things I'd like to buy from eBay :).

The Good Guys have an after dark sale (7pm-7am) for the next 3 days

    http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/after-dark-sale?utm_source=Che…

Sale prices seem to be working on their ebay store so will definitely be buying the Moto G 3rd gen tomorrow (as I missed out last time!)

    • Do they reveal their dark side?

My cash rewards from the last few ebay deals last year still haven't finished processing…. =.='

    • +1

      Same!!

      Very dodgy…

      • I logged a request about another one and the support chick processed like 5 of them, must have noticed them when she looked at my account

    • +3

Same here, though this is the longest it's been for me (approaching two months), previous ones were more or less a month for me

    • Why is cashrewards so low? Thought it wa 2% on ebay

    • Cashrewards is an absolute joke.. I ordered 5 things on 28 december through ebay.. ALL are still pending.. The Transactions are there.. I've just sent them an email asking what the hold up is.
Is there any action one can take against Cashrewards? just wondering..

      • Did you read the cashback schedule on their ebay page? It takes 55 days for confirmation. All these cashback sites take a while.

        • Fair point.. Will wait 60 or so days then.. See what happens.

  • +19

I have just confirmed with my source and this is definitely on. Also there is going to be 20% click and collect promo later in the month which might be for selected retailers only

    • +5

are you working for the MI6 ? or KGB ?

      • +10

I wish as life would be much simpler. I work for a much harder intelligence agency known as OBHTF aka online bargain hunting task force. I am assigned to ebay section currently

        • +1

this guy is a real keyboard warrior

    • Is the current 20% of for target the deal your source was alluding too or is there another one around the corner?

      • +1

Another one round the corner somewhere in next couple of weeks

        • I think (hope) its going to be 20% off selected retailers such as Master, TGG et al.

    • I have just confirmed with my source and this is definitely on. Also there is going to be 20% click and collect promo later in the month

Well just one day left to see if you were right or not, If there is going to be a sale tomorrow would be the likely day however. Still confident?

$45 for a 1.8L high end thermos :/ ok I guess. I urgently need one
EDIT: if anyone else knows hwere to find a 1.5L or larger thermos at that price or lower, let me know
This is my old fave, used to be $35 shipped ages ago, I've got 3 in the past 5 years.
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/201223932017?euid=5a54ac9bb5ca4e0…

I need a good one, with a jasmine tea capable lid.

Myer is having 30% off two items from homeware. I got a 2L Thermos Stainless King and some random cup for $60.

      • Online or do I need to go in physically? Thanks btw.

        • I went to a store, don't know about online. It's a good quality thermos.

  • Ozsikhs: pricepal cash back on eBay is 1% atm.

Watch out guys, due to "low stock levels" ebay may decide to finish the promotion before it even starts!! LOL

    • +1

      on what? everything? lol

  • cool, time to upgrade my phone :)

  • I would dare say there's a minimum spend of maybe $100 or so. They have started placing minimums lately

You can have my upvote now, but if the milk turns out to be sour, I ain't the kind of pussy to drink it.

Just in time for valentines day

Babe, here is a 10% code for your next eBay purchase. Happy valentines day

    • Your SO is so lucky.

    • I think EC has an ebook to get himself out of almost any situation in the world

    • Clearly you have a babe who is easily satisfied. Not even asking for 20% code?

  • So the end date is actually going to be 10.2.2016 when they decide to pull it early again?

    • Lol was about to say the same ^^

    • Lol, 10% is close to what they take, so break even is okay because they are buying traffic which means better rankings later on, meaning more $$

  • +1

Oh great, now I will find something to buy that I don't need as it will be 10% off. I literally have no self control!

  • +2

WHOO!! I just bought a 3ds xl 9.0 maybe I can use the 10% off, I haven't paid it yet as I said to seller I will when I get paid tomorrow will the 10% code be able to use on my item? if not I could probably ask ebay to help? does anyone know? thanks.

    • Should be able to. I seem to remember doing something similar last year (I also contacted the seller to let them know.)

    • will the 10% code be able to use on my item? if not I could probably ask ebay to help? does anyone know?

If the item still shows in your Shopping Cart, then yes.

The code is applied when you PAY, not when you buy.

But next time, you should use the Cart rather than buying then stuffing the seller around to wait for a payment.

      • I did contract seller to let them know they were fine about it.

  • awwww I should have waited… I thought eBay wouldn't start another promo so close to the 20% off selected retailer promo.

    • These promotions are weekly. .. at 10% ebay is probably still winning on fees

      • Shop and mint is sitting at 2.5% cashback for ebay currently.

    • +3

Oooooooo me too, just after having stuff in my cart for almost 2 months I got impatient and bought them yesterday….yes yes..ter..daaaaay!

  • +2

    Lego time.

  • Neat. Might be able to get some cheap computer parts.

What's the best value for money place for that on eBay? PCByte? Seems that way.

    • +2

Yeah, I need a new PSU. Futu didn't have anything decent in the 20% sale.

      • I've been shopping for a new PSU as well and from what i've seen buying online kills it because postage is through the roof as the item weighs a few kg.

    • +5

Don't hold your breath, everything from reputable sellers seems to be pretty overpriced on eBay at the moment. A lot of things that I have looked at are cheaper elsewhere even after the 10% off eBay (i7 6700k, gtx980 ti, evga g2 750W etc.)

      • +2

Yeah, I noticed that too. I've come to the conclusion there's nothing I'll buy tomorrow.

        Ah well.

  • +2

Ebay and PayPal fees come to nearly 13%. Where's the usual 15% off?

    • +2

      That's if you are selling.

      • Yes. My point is relevant.

  • +5

    No minimum would be nice!!!

  • Looking forward to it.

  • I'm also looking forward to this.
Was going to make some big purchases tomorrow so I wonder if I can do them through this. (and save money)

  • +2

Bugger - I failed to redeem a 15% coupon code in time the other night (was a site glitch or something), so missed out.

Left all my stuff in Shopping Cart, ready for next promo. So I can use this deal to get 2/3 of the discount again.

However an emergency meant that I had to buy an iPhone yesterday (Sunday night), so I checked TEN different accounts (of mine) and not one had a discount voucher. So I had to pay full price for the bloody phone - it's been a long time since I have bought off ebay without at least a 10% discount code..

Then I see this deal AGHHHHH crying mega-unhappy llama tears :-(

    • +32

Let us all come together OzBargainers, to pay respects to this fellow users' loss. May you find peace in another deal.

    • +9

All I heard was TEN accounts!

      • +1

With multiple accounts you have a far better chance of having at least one Discount Coupon available at any given time.

They seem to offer them fairly randomly, however the most inactive accounts seem get a far greater number of codes offered.

I'd say each buying account gets one code (10,15 or 20% sitewude) each year. Active selling accounts don't ever seem to be offered codes, whilst accounts that have been inactive for a year or more will often get coded continually until you make a purchase.

These codes used to be notified by email, then only in notification "alarm bell" icon at top right) but now days the only way to even know they exist is by scrolling to the very bottom of the My Ebay Summary page using a PC. It's annoying having to deal with it in this way but it's also well worthwhile to get an average 15% off every single purchase (10 items, in one payment transaction ).

    • +1

      I have ten fingers

    • +9

I'm still trying to think what kind of emergency would drive me to buy an iPhone ;)

      • +1

you accidentally smashed your previous phone.

        • +2

Did you smash it with your head then? ;)

      • what kind of emergency would drive me to buy an iPhone ;)

LOL yeah, some people would see it that way :-)

In this case we had a kid starting high school this year who specifically requested an iPhone as their only birthday present. Has been waiting for it patiently for about 4 months now.

Then we have a wife buying one from some random online store without researching or even checking OzBargain. And that seller being a scammer, so the phone didn't show up for the kid's birthday, which was last Friday.

So, the kid had NO presents on his birthday…. and was absolutely shattered. It was somewhat an emergency, I can tell you!

The phone arrived today from a fabulous eBay seller. It's not new, just a refurb iPhone 5c, but seems to have new exterior parts and looks 100% brand new.

    • DOUBLE ARGHHHH - Adding insult to injury of a dedicated OzBargain Hunter. I choose to start the story now…

First we have the sidewide code (this obargain deal), which I don't seem to have any eBay notification about yet.

Then today, just 2 days after I buy an iPhone at full price, the same Ebay ID where I bought the phone just got issued with a ID-linked 10% Off coupon code.

Your limited time offer: Get 10% off your next purchase of AU $75.00 or more; up to a maximum discount of AU $100.00 off. Redemption code: SAU******VWF Expires 12/02/16

FFS How stupid is that? Pity that they cannot be stacked.

Just don't get Sony Xperia m5 please. The specs and pricing is super attractive. But Me and my friend bought one and it crashes, bugs, apps don't function well, turns off suddenly then doesn't turn on until u plug a charger into it. Camera always says error and u have to turn on and off the phone. I have it for 1month only as well. :(.
Also bought it off dicksmith, don't even know if there's warranty on it, but I can't be bothered. Gonna go for another phone after a year.

      • Of course you have warranty on it, you'll just have to deal direct with Sony and their repairers and will be up for any freight costs to get it to them.

Heard similar reports on the M5 tho, shame, looked decent on paper.

    • Happy with my Huawei P8
