  • I just got a refund for one 2.90 item bringing the total down to 199.50. I wonder if i'll receive the 100 dollar voucher now.

    • Good luck, nearly had a similar issue and had to talk to the seller before he made a big mistake

  • 2 out of my 6 parcels were returned by Woolworths to the eBay seller. I picked up 4 of my parcels today. A seller messaged me and said Click & Collect is a relatively new service so some unknowing Woolies staff may have told the courier to return my parcel to the seller… the eBay seller plans to complain to eBay re: Woolies click & collect not doing their job.

  • The problem here is, Woolies stores don't always get mail daily. If the person who receives the parcels from AusPost doesn't sort them correctly, they're shunted into the internal mail bag, and sent do the despatch centre. From there, internal mail goes out to stores twice a week (manager of my C&C store told me this).

Last time I tried C&C, the parcel was put into internal mail…I went to the store, and after much fumbling, he asked a colleague to check that bag, and in there were another half a dozen C&C parcels…

  • I ordered 2 items from 2 different sellers and both were delivered to big-w yesterday but I still haven't received a email from ebay telling me that they are ready for pickup. Will I be able to pick them up now?

  • So many bugs to iron out from this service. Tracking for two items show they have been delivered yet no pickup PIN. Can't collect without it (or Woolworths staff too lazy to check).

One other sent by Couriers Please, was returned to depot…wth.

Voucher probably issues 1st November 10am eastern time again

My experience with Click and Collect has been good from Big W. I would think if you got one around better than Woolies

  • If Woolies had intended to advertise their service by way of giving out vouchers, then their plan has completely bombed !
I ordered a 6TB HDD to be delivered to Woolies. Ordered Sunday, was delivered on Wednesday as per courier company tracking. It even has a image of signature and name of person signing for it…

So I went to the said Woolies and they have no clue about it. She physically checked all the parcels and mine wasn't there. I showed them the signature and name and she just nodded her head !

  • Oh crap, I was signed into ebay and made my $200 purchase through my account, but just entered a CC through PayPal manually instead of using an account, am I screwed?

    • Nevermind got it, sweet.

  • Have people already received their vouchers?

    • +1

Nope nothing. Also only received 1 out 3 of my click and collect items ordered on Monday. This is a big fail!

    • +1

I followed all the steps, got notified it was ready to pick up and have collected my purchase.

      No voucher yet.

Not sure if we get emailed or it just appears in eBay account somewhere.

  • no voucher, not appearing in http://www.ebay.com.au/myb/Summary?MyEbay#coupon link yet. usually appears at the bottom of this page

  • No voucher yet

  • Nothing

    • received at 10am

  • +3

No voucher yet. 7:30am EST Nov 1.

Have collected item from BigW LayBy counter following email advice received Friday - two days ago.

Usually the process is to log out of EBay and log back in again. Then should see the voucher when hover over My eBay. It should appear on the 'My eBay' drop down menu on the right. Log out is on the top left as a drop down on G'day username.

    • CYOUR100 in place OK when I check 10:10 am EST.

Pheww.. such an act of faith in the EBay electronic system and getting all the requirements right…

    • Thanks for the 'log out & log back in again' tip. Mine wasn't showing up until I did that.

    • logout and login did it for me too.

On a side note, C&C is a fail. Way more convenient to get it delivered to either a parcel locker, or your house. I got stuffed around by BigW staff for about 30mins trying to collect my package.

      • Totally agree. I spend ages waiting in a long line of anxious parents picking up Halloween costumes from the Big W layby area and whining about the $5 fee or whatever, while one poor over-worked lady at the counter tried to keep up with their demands without screaming at them. It was very depressing. I don't think I'm going to bother with that service again.

  • Nothing yet. The automation may not happen until later on I suppose given there's a few of us without vouchers.

  • No voucher here either.

    • 8am EST, no voucher yet, as mention by neonlight above, voucher will be issued at 10am…2hr to go.

      • Nothing at 10am EDST

Picked up my order a few days ago. Waited 10 minutes to get someone to serve me, and then another 10 minutes for someone who knew the code the process the Click and Collect.

    The code was 1234.

  • "In the event you return or seek a refund on any item purchased using a voucher, the value of the voucher will not be refunded to you."

When redeeming a voucher, I wonder if the seller would know whether you used a voucher for a purchase. The above clause sort of nullifies the buyer protection guarantee. If I need to return a defective item bought with a voucher, my only option would be a replacement. I will not want a refund lest I want to lose the amount of the voucher. What happens if the seller can't offer a replacement?

    • Seller will not know.
You will just have to read the T&Cs of their refund/replacement policy.

    Voucher used! "CYOUR100"

    • Yup confirmed at 10:05am

  • +1

    Just received my voucher, cheers!

  • Where do I find the voucher? As in let me know I've received it? Thanks!

    • +1

I got an email, and have a voucher at the bottom of My eBay > My eBay Summary

      • Thanks, found it :)

    • +4

One way is to log out of EBay and log back in again. Then should see the voucher when hover over My eBay. It should appear on the 'My eBay' drop down menu on the right. Log out is on the top left as a drop down on G'day username.

Also can look in http://www.ebay.com.au/myb/Summary?MyEbay#coupon link

      • Thanks, that worked !

  • Got an email from ebay for the voucher code at 10:01am :)

  • Got both of mine through.

  • I haven't got my voucher yet however I haven't collected my items either since they haven't been delivered to my selected store

    • Some of my purchases have not yet arrived but I got vouchers just now. Only need to have selected click & collect delivery on purchase, not actually have collected the items to be eligible to receive your voucher.

      • Yep I have got the voucher. See leeroys_dad 's comment below. Strange the voucher doesn't appear when I click the "My ebay" tab like previous vouchers.

  • and CYOUR50

    • CYOUR100 for the other amount.

  • i havent gotten my Voucher !! NEVERMIND i got it but no email from ebay weird

  • +3

Look here to see if it's been applied. I didn't get email but it appears here:
    http://my.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyeBay&CurrentPage=My…

    • Thanks I can confirm the voucher is in that page. Time to go shopping!

    • Nothing. Which subfolder is it in? Ok, found it, it is down the bottom of the activity summary.

    • Thanks - I didnt get an email either but it appears here (scroll all the way to the bottom guys - its in tiny print)

  • Still no voucher for me.

  • +1

Got mine :) I actually contacted ebay yesterday and told them my paypal and ebay emails are different.
They told me if I didn't get it, they would give me one anyway!
So others can maybe try this?

I didn't get an email, I just manually checked it on the "My ebay" page and scrolled all the way to the bottom!

    …now what to get?!

    • Thanks for the update - voucher located at the bottom of "My ebay." I'm using it to purchase a ps4 controller haha.

  • Nothing for me!

    • Just enter CYOUR50 100 or 150.

    • Yippy! got it!

        • That's US$ mind you..

        • If that kind of thing was possible, you could obtain unlimited amount of eBay Gift Cards using previously purchased Gift Cards….

Things to note regarding the voucher's T&C:

The $100 eBay voucher entitles you up to $100 off the total purchase price for one transaction on eBay.com.au.

Purchases of items in any of the following eBay categories are excluded from this offer: Gift Cards (172009), Coins (11116), Services (316), Cars, Bikes, Boats (9800) and Real Estate (11700).

  • Got mine CYOUR150 ;)

  • Got it

  • Mine has come through, no email but it's there in MyEbay.
I was one of the ones with a mismatched email too - but I did have the paypal account tied to my ebay account

  • Where are you guys seeing it in My Ebay? That code is giving an error for me in the checkout. Uh oh.

Feedback re Click and Collect, mine worked well and quite quickly. No complaints there. The fact that my new shoes are too big for me is a different story.

    • Try to log out and log back in then chek My eBay summary or http://www.ebay.com.au/myb/Summary?MyEbay#coupon

      • Logged in via the link, showed the code for 2 seconds and flicked off again.

        • Did you log out and log back in? If you need to buy something urgently, just try putting in the code of CYOUR100 or CYOUR50 and see if it applies.

        • @Icy: Thank you!

        • @whodidthat: Cheers :)

  • If I use my voucher and then need to return the original item I purchased can eBay still somehow revoke my (used) voucher?

    • Seeing that you have to pay via PayPal to obtain the voucher and also to spend it, I would say that it would be detected and that the original item would be refunded minus the voucher cost. You probably cannot close the PayPal account until you receive the refund, which in your scenario is after you used the voucher…

    • +1

t&cs 20.In the event you return or seek a refund on any item purchased using a voucher, the value of the voucher will not be refunded to you.

      • What if the item is less than the voucher amount?

  • Now, what should we buy with the $100? :/
I got no idea myself. I kind of really wish I could use it to buy groceries from Woolies, Aldi, pay my Electricity etc… kinda unlikely vouchers for those on ebay :)

    • It does not apply to GiftCards and of course eBay makes it so that they can clawback some of it via eBay and PayPal fees from the seller (who often tend to have a higher price to begin with due to these fees).

  • eBay won't accept my voucher at the moment for something I purchased a few days ago - is anyone having the same problem? It process 100% fine through paypal and takes off the discount, but then after Paypal it just says transaction pending, then a minute later I get a can't process payment email. Not terribly happy about this. Hmmmm.

  • anyone else getting this, "Your request couldn't be processed at this time", at checkout?

  • no email sent or indication given but voucher works at the checkout

  • +1

    what to buy ?????

  • +2

WARNING! Voucher can only be used once even if you don't use the whole $100, (made a $97 purchase, then tried to use the remaining $3 on an order that wouldn't ship to my PO Box but no go, says I've exceeded the number of uses). Bloody sneaky.

    • +2

That was part of the terms and conditions on the front page of this listing.
The far worse sneaky one is the "paypal and ebay email address MUST be the same" - that wasn't posted here (rule #19)

You only lost $3 - but yeah good to warn people.

    • +1

its in the t&cs, one transaction only

    • +2

Also EXTREME WARNING to peoples, that you better buy from more reputable sellers and make sure they don't cancel or refund your payment without your consent because you will get nothing in return.

Some sellers list stuff in stock but in fact not really then just cancels and refund you without a word. This happened to me twice.

By cancelling you have no option to leave feedback and the money is list as code.

It's a flaw in the system

      • Seriously? Like definitely a goner?

        • Yes

        • @neonlight: Surely ebay support would help you out? That's total bullshit! :/

        • @hamwhisperer: T&C: "20. In the event you return or seek a refund on any item purchased using a voucher, the value of the voucher will not be refunded to you."

Happened to me last time and I wondered why the full refund from the seller of an item I received damaged/useless was missing until I checked the refund amount was correctly calculated according to the above condition. You only get a refund for any portion of the purchase for which you paid above the voucher value. For multiple item transactions the voucher/paid amounts are apportioned evenly according to the value of the items. I got a refund for only a small amount thankfully but because I only paid just over the voucher value, I only got a few cents back in refund.

        • @samlor: Can you post the link to your seller, man that really blows hardcore.
          I'd prefer a swap / return than a refund.

I wonder if the sellers bottom dollar was impacted by you using the voucher, hence them doing this?

        • @hamwhisperer: I don't see what you'd get from knowing who was the seller. It was for a couple of cheap tablet screen protectors from China for only few dollars and the seller was willing to issue a refund because they were poorly package and got a crease presumably in shipping - I could see the dent on the card board envelope.

Your second question sounds reasonable but don't know/see how to answer it. I suppose sellers could try to rip off buyers/eBay if they know payment is by voucher but would still need to deal with complaints for replacement/refunds/etc.

        • @samlor: I just figured it was an Aussie click and collect seller, no worries. I'll be selective when I use it regardless, cheers.

  • I got my code, but when I try and use it, I get:

We're currently having technical difficulties processing your code
Your voucher or redemption code wasn't applied.

  • How do you know if you got the voucher code?
Can't see it after I log in :-(

    • if you mouse over My eBay, you should see it at the bottom of the pop down.

      • Yep. I had to logoff then log back on again to see it.
        Thanks.

  • Thanks

  • I never received an email either but can see the voucher in My eBay.

Do I have to redeem on items only available through Click n Collect? Or any eBay items?

I notice that the selection is very trimmed via Click n Collect.

  • Voucher received as expected 10am AEST.

Anyway you bet eBay is on another promotion and you won't be able to combine this voucher code use before Xmas =)

Which means full price items to pay for under this voucher under taking discount 50 or 100

  • My original purchase was a Samsung Evo 850 250GB SSD for $145 and WD 1TB HDD for $82 from Futu Online. Great service, arrived at my local Woolies in 3 business days. Just used my voucher to order Kingston 2x4GB DDR4 HyperX Ram for $19 from the same seller.

Those 3 items for $246 and so far no issues, can't complain :)

  • Wait, why are some people getting $150 codes? Did you spend over $300?
