    single core 512mb 4gb nvram and a massive 800 x 480

    are you excited?

    no?

i'm guessing this is a giant pile of turd

edit: hmm interdasting… it has navigator navteq maps included

so it has a gps chipset in it? could make a cheap gps I suppose?

$54 for a device that can watch 1080p movies is not too bad.

It also does plenty of other things and you get a 12 month warranty with it.

1080p movies on a 800 x 480 display?. Why would you bother. That's like trying to play 1080p movies on a standard definition TV it defeats the purpose.

        • maybe $54 tablet + $34 chrome cast + $149 TV

        • a single core A7 whatever will not play back 1,080p reliably and people who expect it too are funny

So like ancient technology. Single core, 512mb ram and 800 x 480 display is laughable. What is this 2011.

Totes, like LOL, WTF, are you serial?

        • +1

          Like for real.

        • IMHO, Its like totally cheaper than an ATARI and it comes with a screen for like free and that.
But hold on what am i saying, like 2011 is so ancient technology… OMG WTF is an ATARI..

        • @hollykryten:
Like4RiL totes good band name right?

  • I'd only buy it if it was $10. $54 for this is way too much it's 3 year old technology.

This is standard pricing for these specifications, if not a tad expensive.

HaHaHa it reminds me of This

    • omfg gave me a good laugh :D

    • Sorry, I meant this

  • About the same spec as my first tablet purchased around 2010. I still have it. Used it mostly for streaming video from the WD Mybook Live and for Youtube. Certainly laggy compared to modern tabs, but useable for Youtube and SD video streaming and email and ocassional web browsing. But yes, pay a little more for a dual core at least.

Looks like it could be a cheap bedside clock or alarm clock with streaming radio and weather or CCTV viewer or self-updating photo frame displaying FB/instagram/flickr feeds or always-on Wemo remote…

Yes wonder how it would go as a digital photo frame. About all it's good for.
