Use officeworks to price beat by 5%
Would this be good as a primarily media consumption device? (e.g. Netflix, Youtube)
yep! I got the model up from this last year and it stays stuck in my car for the kids, never removed from there.
Hasn't missed a beat for Netflix etc.
Also has a 80% max charge option which I've got it enabled to ensure longevity of the tablet as it's also permanently connected to a USB port.
Media consumption isn’t a high bar to reach. I have no issues using my ~5 year old Samsung tablet for YouTube and Stremio. Despite the lack of OS updates, it seems it has all the YouTube features as my iPad Pro does. The only reason I would never buy the A9+ for media consumption is my old Samsung tablet has better oled screen.
Also employing the 80% charge setting to preserve battery is great. My ~5 year old Samsung tablet battery is still holding up well.
I'll second that. If you're consuming media in the dark, OLED is a must; CPU and RAM aren't.
Im using a blackview tab 11 I got for $150 last year which I use solely for watching media and it handles it well.
Another tablet w/o wwan sim card connection. 'Use your phone' folks no need to reply.
I've been looking at getting one to move away from iPad but wondering if anyone has experience with the Lenovo Tab M11 Wi-Fi w/ Tab Pen (128GB/4GB, 11'') and how it would compare for similar/same price:

Thanks.
Mine is a Lenovo Tab M10 (3rd gen) I got for $99 from Aldi. Good enough for everything but turbocharged games (I haven't actually tested them, I don't play games), and watching movies in the dark (IPS has just too much light coming through, kinda spoils any SciFi movie). I passed it on to the offspring, and am now looking for an OLED replacement (which has been hard; Lenovo seems to have given up on OLED, so I'm left with Samsung and Huawei, all for $800+).
Just set up the second $99 aldi m10 for the 2nd kid as their A7 lite was struggling during roblox, benchmarked it and it was almost twice the score of the A7 and was surprised compared to the actual specs. Goes well with roblox and minecraft. Waiting for the next $99 aldi tablet deal haha
It's here.
I got a the 8GB ram version for $289 leading up to Christmas for my son
His only using it for media consumption when the older kids want to watch more grown up movies but for $20 more can get an extra 4GB ram no brainer tbh.
The kids mode is good where you can lock it down and combined with Family Link for 'app' approvals and showing just certain apps you want to let kids access it works really well - I'm not sure if Lenovo makes it or Google makes it but works quite well - not sure if Samsung has it.
Bought the 128GB Version and price beat at officeworks
