    Hi all, Does asurion only charge $30/$60 in case trade-in device is not returned? Or samsung will cancel bonus as well.

    Last time i sent a device back to asurion they said device was not in good condition which i disputed as i took photos, so don't want to go through same drama by them again.

    the reflector screen is garbage and a nightmare to put on. 2 failed attempts and 25 dollars down the drain. best to just pay someone.

      What was the issue? I did mine and it was fine other than giving me anxiety when putting it on.

    • Very important to watch the video. 90% of what it showed did work on me. The other 10% was the part where it said to pull the cover half back and the adhesive would unpeel by itself, yeah, that one took me a little bit creativity to make it unpeel by itself.

    Asurion approved my trade in for full amount. Has some minor dints but no issue.

    Still no news on buds refund.

    • Glad to hear. I have a few scuff marks around the corners of my Flip4 and I was worried they would revise the trade-in value to $20 or something

      • I’m curious about this as well. My black S24 has a few small paint chips, which others have also reported with this colour. Some of the matte finish on the glass has worn off, revealing the glossy surface underneath. I’m considering visiting another store (MobileGuru), as they might be more flexible or accommodating.

  • Is everyone canceling their trade in or just ignoring it?
    There's no cancel button on the Trade-up portal, can only message them.

  • Do EDU and EPP stores get rewards points for orders? Do orders made via EDU/EPP show up if you log in to normal samsung site? Or Via Westpac too?

  • Chatting to Samsung now. They are saying all refunds are subject to approval and can be rejected due to the promotion.

    I said to my agent that's fine if the refund is rejected but I'd expect the buds to then be sent to me.

    Was told it's not possible…

      If you received a cancellation email, which you would have you can lodge a PayPal or credit card claim

        • Before you do that, held the status of trade under your order.

          Mines UpdateError which is causing the issue. Samsung chat doesn't seem that's an issue yet

          • @abs898: Mine says Updated under trade-in and the order stauts is delivered but they are refusing to refund.

                  I will try calling them tomorrow.

                  I had 2 orders, one got automatically refunded while the other is stuck and no refund. Also to note, I haven't received any email from Asurion yet which tells me the trade in error has something to do with it.

                  The one with updated was automatically refunded.

                    • @KB57: I recommend sending them an email first, so you have proof, attach the cancellation email along.

                      You can use this as proof when raising a dispute. Bank will ask for comms.

                      • @abs898: I tried online chat again and the guy told me that the refund should be in my account in next couple of days. I am not sure if it was because I escalated my request or it was just a generic response. I will wait and see what happens in next couple of days and then i they didn't refund I dispute the charge by the bank. I have enough comms evidence from chats to support my claim I guess.

      Sounds like upper management said no more refunds to take advantage of voucher loophole and the staff left to sort out that mess. Cancellation rate was probably too high and got escalated internally

      • I was told that was a "glitch" in their system, so they have 2 options either refund or send out the accessory.

          I mean the discount coming off the phone literally is a system bug so it's not wrong.
          I suspect they can't apply multi-buy orders to specific items (e.g. specific pick-list of items to qualify, the discount, discount can be greater than single qualifying items, such as buying $200 of cases).
          So they take it off the phone to avoid negatives.

          Complicated to fix that to be honest, I've had the same problem in a work related thing.

      Well, if you have the cancellation email confirmation and the buds wasn't sent, then that's legal document right there eligible for credit card claim.

      Nope. Negative on the buds refund. They closed the loophole but it seems they are clawing it all back

      1. Credit Note email for the refund of the earbuds
      2. They already credit back the money to my card.

    Anyone on 13th or 20th Feb batch for S25U Jetblack?

    • Ordered 26th January 12.00 am, was surprised that the codes worked, found out that the promotion ran until early morning 🤦🏻. Ordered S25U 512gb Jet black. Ships from 20th😬😬. Anyone ordered around same time getting shipped early?

      • Same day/time as me. Still no changes on mine, keep refreshing every few hours hoping it will 😭

        With this delay Im watching more and more Youtube videos on the S25U, its got me thinking im just going to keep my S22U for an extra year and cancel the order.

        • So you still not convinced with s25 series yet. Actually I'm upgrading from s24 ultra. Sometimes I think to hit the cancel button, but then I say I will miss using the new flagship for a year and my mobile will be less in price and battery next year.

      • Here's an update on my order placed on January 29th:
        For a while, the status showed it will shipped from February 20th. This morning, the "Cancel" button disappeared, and the status was updated to indicate it will be delivered by February 25th, with an IMEI assigned.

    • Mine just went from the 20th to 14th which is good news I guess.

      • That is certainly a good news! When did you place your order? I have been checking my order status regularly.

        • Placed my order on the 26th at midday. Ordered a watch7 with it.

          Just received my tracking information and seems like it may actually arrive tomorrow. Only changed to 14th at around 6pm tonight, before then just been showing 20th.

            • @Abzd: Thank you! If you ordered around the same time then I wouldn't be surprised if your order also gets expedited to an earlier time.

              I've heard a few people (at least internationally) have been canceling or changing orders and pushing other people who ordered later forward in the eta.

  • Received S25U and screen protector on the 7th. Buds 3 Pro only 'ships from' tomorrow and was ordered at the same time. Anyone else in the same boat?

  • I still have not received any email with "instructions on how to prepare to send your trade-in device"
    Did everyone receive yours?
    It's $1 broken screen phone if it makes any difference.

      • Log in and no instruction. It says Trade-in Status SHIPPED. There are 4 boxes all ticked with the last box as "In-transit to Asurion"

        • Check the status in your Samsung account as well. I have posted earlier as well, one of my orders is stuck with UpdateError and the other has Updated.

    • What's under Trade-in in your Samsung order status?

      • Trade in status: UpdateError. Order status Delivered.
        I don't need to return any accessory or wait for refund. Just don't want to get hit with Asurion tradein admin fee.

        • Yeah, because it's an update error, Asurion hasn't received the info yet. If you really want to ship the device proactively, login in the trade-in portal manually override this and confirm you have received the device.

          This will trigger the process and Asurion will send you a label.

          • @abs898: So i havent received the email from Asurion, but received the device nearly one week ago. Any suggestions?

              @burgo101: depends on what you want to do, are you actually trading in? If yes, you can follow what I mentioned above. If no, just sit on it.

              • @abs898: I'm half considering trying to sell it online to make a bit more of a return, but I'm also skeptical of Asurion as a number of people in this forum have had very mixed experiences with the process.

    Got rejected 3 times via chat to refund buds, guess I own buds now. Tried via the online refund/return too, got a reject there also.

      Just tried my luck, here the respond:

      "Thank you for waiting, as per checking here the order has GALAXY2025 voucher code which activated once you purchase minimum of $200 discount, unfortunately we cannot cancel only the buds, last option is you will be returning the whole order."

      Now i have 2x bud >.< from previous year

    Device delivered and status updated on shop app. return of buds3 started. no email from samsung.

    also no email from Asurion. Asurion hasn't initiated return of trade in device in their portal. Order page in shop app says UpdateError.

  • Do we have 7 days or 14 days to post our trade in device back to Asurion? Initially thought it said 7 days when ordering but the email I got with the postage label says 14 days…

    • They are pretty lenient I think should definitely be fine for working condition.

    After this pre-order period, its actually best time to buy Galaxy Buds 3 or Buds 3 pro for those who actually need it from marketplace. Most people from here don't want to keep the buds and couldn't return it end up advertising it on marketplace.

    • Yeah, i realised after just getting an extra case and samsung tags that i actually need new headphones and should have gone the buds3 pro.

      However, everyone on marketplace are trying to sell them for around $300. Im happy to pay around $100, but not significantly more than (10×) cost price ($30 after discount code)!

      • Hmm, just a quick search on marketplace around Sydney, i see lots of listing selling buds 3 pro for $200. I'd say getting it for ~$150 would be easy. Maybe wait another couple of days, some people will reduce the price eventually if they got no offer.

  • My bank card that was used to purchase the phone and buds is cancelled now. How can I get my refund now, someone can tell me please

      Why did you close the card lol

      After the refund has gone through, you can contact the bank to transfer the money from closed card to your bank account.

      • My bank cancelled it. There was an unauthorised transaction of around $40, I reported and they cancelled the card.

      you can contact Samsung and update your credit card details. just explain to them. should be ok

    We do apologize if takes too long, because the item you cancelled is part of the promotion which supposed to be unable to cancel.

    Not sure how long to wait, 3-5 days or 7 to 10 days. Monday another one was saying 48 hours max.

    • Same here, at first try they told me that because there was a glitch in Samsung system they wouldn't refund and then they escalated the ticket.
      When I tried the online chat the day after, they told me it will be processed within next couple of days. I am going to wait until Monday, if it doesn't happen I will dispute the charge through my bank.

      • Did you get your refund, if you didn't how you going with charge back?

        • Received a call this morning from Samsung informing me that the refund will be processed in next couple of days; it's worth noting that I followed up a few times and got a case number for escalated refund case.
