you should read what Pimpbutter wrote carefully on Page 24. There is a trick there…

You can apply some of the codes even GALAXY2025 twice for two phones and he only had to ensure he had $200 accessories, not $400. Effectively, cashing in on the second GALAXY2025 of $200 to offset the cost of the phone.

          • @Sydney11: Would this work with one s25u 512 gb and other s25 512gb?
            They are not the same.
I had a order page open in Brave and so it auto loaded with my already used codes but couldn't use the Galaxy code. Thought may be ill try a different gov email tomorrow. If everything works good, I will cancel my current order and then use the same codes on a different gov account. Will that work mate?

**I didn't pull the trigger. The s25 in my cart was 256gb so tried to change it to 512gb. now I have lost this screen and the codes for 300 and 100 is not working. **

            • +2

@kisshell9: i think it need to be different types of phones to work. so i think you good.

see wat megalac wrote above. this page. twophones

he received $400 discount from GALAXY2025
he received $700 discount from CSP (that Samsung member generated voucher or agent voucher $400 ultra + $300 non-ultra
              etc…

the sales ppl from samsung will be available tomorrow 8AM, you can contact them for help.

u need a new code for the $400/$300 CSP. the samsung agent will be able to generate them.

              • @Sydney11: So I will have to cancel my current order for Galaxy2024 to work right?

  • Hey Guys,
If i cancel my order do i get the 5% of the new purchase again or naa via the app?

    • +1

You can. You need a new Samsung Account.

Original account had made the first purchase. So 5% was used. You cant use this account anymore.

You need to create a new account (any email will do), then you need to UNLINK the education store link from your "original account, assuming it was your education email), and relink it to your new account. New account will be able to get the new 5% discount for new purchases, even if your 'link to the education store is the same university email'

This can be done via Live Chat with the Sales Team. It takes about 2 hours for them to reset and unlink your original account from your university email.

      • I am using the government portal so I never had to link my email. I used my gov mail for the order

      • Wow I didn't know Live Chat could unlink education

  • +1

Hmm without westpac or edu accounts and having to read 27 pages of comments i might do the JB Deal for the s25+ 500gb for $880 or the ultra for $1080

    • +1

It works out to be very similar in price, so its good either way.

  • -5

If anyone has $20 eVouhcer to sell please DM me

  • +1

Theres gotta a culprit/snitch who reported the 'earbud cancelling' method to Samsung!!!! Cancel order will only work for the entire order now.

    • +2

That method of cancelling accesories to get credit back has been known for the past couple of years, it actually surprised me that Samsung just fixed it this year.

      • -1

This year they slightly improved it by attaching the 1st accessory to the phone when cancelling the order which made people think it couldnt be cancelled. But then someone found a way out by moving the earbud as the 2nd accessory item in his order.

  • Any legal experts here? There is an interesting conversation about the Trade-In "fees" / "Admin fees" / "Late fees", they are arguing there is no fees, not $60, zero, you pay nothing if you choose not to send the traded-in phone/item to Asurion.

    https://images.samsung.com/is/content/samsung/assets/au/term… (version July 2024)

Their main argument is the terms and conditions of the contract is as follows

    7.3 Late Returns:
    (a) If You return Your Existing Device to Us more than fourteen (14) days but less than
ninety (90) days after the date on which You receive Your New Samsung Device, We will:
    (i) accept Your offer to transfer ownership of Your Existing Device to Us (in which
case You enter into a contract with Us for the sale of Your Existing Device to Us
and ownership of Your Existing Device will transfer to Us); and
(ii) charge You a Late Return Fee.

You only get charged the late return fee, if you actually "return the item", you cant charge the late return fee if nothing was returned. And 7.3 (a)(i) and (ii) specifically said if you return late more than 14 days but less than 90 days, then you get charged the late return fee.

What does 7.3 (b) says if you return more than 90 days… no mentioned of late return fees will be charged. They don't even want your phone basically, and they will even send it back to you and cancel the transfer ownership.

What does 7.3 (c ) says… if (b) applies, you dont get back your security. Which for some of us is just $1.

What do you think after reading the terms and conditions of trade-in ?

    • +1

Don't be afraid to use your brain.

    • "Which for some of us is just $1."

-How do you get it to $1 ? I can't seem to do any such thing

      • +2

choose a phone which isn't worth as much, then say it has a cracked screen etc

    • +2

haha, for the cost of going through small claims court…. and the time wasted just to prove a point, you may as well pay the admin fee…..

  • Hmm not sure if this is relevant…

I cancelled my earbuds at about 3pm AEST 24-Jan. I noticed some ppl have reported issues cancelling their earbuds even before 3PM. you guys can comment below when you had started experiencing trouble.

Not sure if its relevant, there might be one small thing I did differently from most people, maybe I assume most ppl on this post are Android users. I was using the Shop App on my iPad OS to access Education Store. I cancel in the Shop App on my iPad. I wasnt using Samsung phone/ Android devices/ PC.

    https://imgur.com/a/bbmUgsI

Maybe just maybe they only rolled out the fix for Shop App android? Maybe not for OS (not yet) ? Who would have thought there would be many/any ppl using OS/ iPads to buy Samsung phones? just a wild guess

    • when you successfully cancel the accessory, do you get refunded that amount back to your original card?

      • No.

I get an email. confirming it has been cancelled. I read somewhere here… someone mentioned funds will come after the delivery of the phone in February.

      • +1

Yes, refund will come back to your original card used for payment. But it will be refunded after the order is delivered

    • +1

You must have more than 1 accessory in your order…..!

  • If i cancel my order, will i be able to reuse my $20 voucher as $100??

    • yes. it will be $100 value.

      • Accidentally unpublished instead of editing lol whoops. Was wondering if its also possible to reuse the GALAXY2025 and trade-in code voucher after cancelling the order it was applied to? I'm thinking of cancelling and trying to get three phones instead.

        • +2

          Yes GALAXY2025 can be reused.

The $400 trade-in code, you need to get a new one. The Samsung customer support can generate new codes for you. Alternatively via Samsung Members app.

You will need a different account to get the 5% first purchase again. The account used for your previous purchase is considered to have already made its first purchase. So a different or new account will ensure you get the 5% again.

          1. Maybe you can check how many times the GALAXY2025 code can be applied in a single transaction with multiple phones.

          2. I wonder if you could also stack the 1TB $200 discount code mentioned on page 1.

          • @Sydney11: Hello mate,
Please help me out. I am trying to cancel my order of s25u and then get a s25u+s25 but i will loose the 5% thing for the goverment portal. Any ways to get it.
Cam i used a shared mailbox at work to create a new acount?

            • @kisshell9: idk about govt portal. i am guessing yes. just try with the new gov email. any issues u can contact Samsung live chat

i was using education store. The 5% first time purchase is linked to my account (email). Which email? It is the email which you received Samsung sends you the Order/Invoice. I just created a new Samsung account and did my new order and get back the 5%.

btw if you wanna know I cancelled my first order after lunch on Friday. 30 minutes later I received a confirmation of refund is being processed. And before end of business day, I received the full refund in my bank account.

              • @Sydney11: Thanks mate.
Did you also get the refund from the trade-in thing? like The value of the trade in phone which was charged .

                • +1

@kisshell9: I received an SMS from Asurion, they started the process of my refund of $1. They said it will get it about 5 days.

                  • @Sydney11: Awesome! Great help mate.
I guess if nothing works, I will have to just leave the 5% off and re-do the order again

  • If you were to buy some cases or powerbank and charger, would you still be able to get some discount assuming you used all the vouchers for a phone?

Would you need a new account on app or?

    • Education stores power banks, cases, chargers are at 40% off. You can use the GALAXY2025 code to offset $200 of accessories.

The new account on Shop app is for those seeking the additional 5% first purchase discount.

      • So if i get like $250 worthy accessories, it is gonna be $50?

        • +1

No, the GALAXY2025 code now only offsets $100 of accessories (it was only $200 until 5AM 26/1), so if you order $250 worth of accessories it'll cost you $150.

  • +9

I can confirm, they’ve completely removed the option to cancel individual items from an order. I tested this by creating a new random order with no promo code and some random accessories, but I could only cancel the entire order, not individual items. The feature likely will be enabled once promo is finished. My test order went through Receive and Order accepted stages, no individual cancel button. Used Edu store, tested on website, iPhone and the Android App.

    • How many accessories did you add?

How many added from the page after picking Samsung care but before checkout to put in codes?

How many added from the checkout page under the phone via add accessories button?

      • I had like 4 accessories, no phone, random stuff under $20 each.

        • thank you for your sacrifice o7

  • If i dont send in my s24u to Ausrion for $790 and the $60 non return fee and sell it to mobile monster for $1050 wont i be $200 better off?

    Any downside to doing this?

Will Ausrion charge me more or ban me?

    • You want to game the system but are sfraid if the consequences?

      • +2

        Well, this is ozbargain….

    • They will send bikies knocking on your door.

      • Jokes on them i live in a boat.

    • +1

Asurion will charge $790 upfront and will refund when you have returned your device. Technically you don't get $790 savings if you plan not to send your device. You will pay extra $60 for the penalty.

    • -2

Your phone's IMEI gets blacklisted and can NEVER be traded again by anyone. Throws some random error when trying to trade again the next year.

      • I think this is not true

      • Incorect. I used the same phone IMEI for s24 last year and s25 this year.

        • Did you go through Trade-in app second time? I tried to do it in the past with old A70 which I did not send for s22u purchase and it did not let me proceed.

          • +1

@Sidor: Just followed the order and entered IMEI before checkout.

    • +2

Yes. You will obviously lose the $790 charged to your card plus a possible $60 non return fee. But still make some better profit on your phone via higher trade in value on Mobile Monster, and preserve the bonus Samsung discount you've locked.

I personally would use Mobile Monster V Asurion as they at least have decent communication channels, and better trade in $$

    • The whole point is getting your trade in bonuses even if you dont send your devices. You only get charged the cost of device and the 60 fee. Youre better off picking a low value trade in and look up imei for that then sell elsewhere. They wont forfeit the tradein bonuses.

    • Nearly every Samsung trade in post has someone suggesting this hack. Like seriously.

Go to Google, get an imei for an s8 and chuck that in the Samsung website. Say it's got a cracked screen and the value goes down to $1.

You pay $60 in total to trigger the $400 trade in bonus

      • $31 for cracked screen and not returned, I believe.

        • How do we mark it as a cracked screen?
I was using the app for a 5% discount and the minimum that I could lower the price was to about $10. Fiddling with the check box would give me $0 value.

    • I didn't return the device last year and coped $60 plus device trade value then sold off on MM for better price. Still going fine with trade in this year and doing the same way again…Apparently, there is no $60 non-device returned this year in their T&C, only late return fees so if they charge $60 , I would dispute with paypal

      • +3

instead of wasting time with a dispute in paypal…. or risking them charging you it. Why not just go into paypal and cancel the authorisation so they cant take the money out? just go into automated payments and find Asuran and cancel it, that way they no longer have permission to debit anything else.

        • -2

there isnt authorised payment associated with Aurion in my paypal so don't think they would charge $60..if i recall correctly, there wasn't Paypal payment option from last year so they have changed T&C

          • +1

@BlackorRed: there was in mine.. I cancelled the authorisation

            edit: proof for chubbies https://i.imgur.com/kgQkgcW.png

            • @bohn: how did you cancel? i can't seem to find on paypal app…

              • +2

@BlackorRed: didn't do it on app, but on PC. Settings cog -> Payments -> Automatic Payments then click on Asurion and cancel it

                • @bohn: thanks, successful cancelled

                • @bohn: Thanks, hopefully no $60 no return fee when the time comes

    • Check recent ProductReviews of Mobile Monster. I decided against this option, based on recent reviews.

Probably just fine, but I had a bad experience last year selling a phone and it's put me off potentially losing $740+ dollars.

      • +1

        I might try MobileGuru

    • Please check your DM

  • S25 for me. Sizes otherwise are all too big.

    • True

  • -4

Does anyone have a $20 voucher for me, please? I missed the boat

  • Ordered the silver shadow as blue black was oos at the time of ordering. Can i call them to change the colour of the phone?

Also can i return the buds post delivery instead of cancelling the order? I have two accessories but don't want to risk them cancelling the whole order, after returning buds ill be paying $136 for the S25 256gb.

  • For security they charging TRADEIN VALUE
WHAT IF WE NOT RETURN THEY GONNA CHARGE FULL AMOUNT OR ONLY $60

I got charger for security full amount

    • There are plenty of posts here and it even says on samsung/ asurion site that full trade-in amount will be charged until you send them the traded in phone, following which they will release the security deposit

    • +2

      yes full security amount

you can't just select Z fold 6 1TB to take off $850 and you get charged $60 lol

      It is $850 + $60

  • It looks like you can't partially cancel the order anymore. Does anyone know the return process. Do they charge return postage fee?

    • +1

No they dont, i find it easier to wait until the order has been delivered, have a chat online and they will make sure you get your postage label and reference number to track the refund.

      • +1

        Thanks for your tips

    • Return is free. Once delivered you can create a return request. But it takes ages for them to email a label to you and then ages for processing the refund.

  • How to cancle order
I am getting multiple option of enduser one
Not partial one its come after that? Want to cancle earbuds

    • do you have a screenshot?

  • +1

I made the order in normal store and now contacted support to cancel the whole order successfully.

Gone back to the Education store to order

    Galaxy S25 (Samsung.com only)

    Blueblack, 512 GB $578.20

Your $100 Galaxy eVoucher+ has been applied! <- 20 convert to 100 voucher used from the last cancelled order

Voucher applied! $200 eVoucher discount. <- ask from samsung chat

    Voucher applied! $300 Trade-In bonus applied. Galaxy2050

$100 Trade-In bonus applied. Ends 14.02.25. <- from education store

Trade in S10+ with $1 value
    Galaxy S25 Blueblack, 512 GB. $578.20
    Galaxy S25 Anti-reflecting Film Transparent $19.50
Galaxy S25 Kindsuit Case. Black $44.50
    Galaxy Buds3 Pro. White. $239.40
    Total: $881.6

If select cancel order, there is only one button to cancel and cant cancel individually

  • Yes people, Samsung has changed the way you can cancel individual items, even if you were able to do so before with multiple accessories in the same order. You straight away just get the whole order cancellation screen. Contact them to cancel individual items or return them for free, unopened, post delivery.

    • +1

I contacted them before but wasn't allowed to cancel individual items. Will have to follow the return method.
Has anyone returned items to a store directly?

      • +2

Seems like they were having issues cancelling on their end too. Samsung retail stores and online are totally different companies. You’ll be advised to return via post back to Samsung online if you ordered online.

  • Anyone else getting

"Sorry our services are currently unavailable. Please try again or contact customer services"

In the trade selection when trying to make purchase.

  • +4

    S25 512gb with buds 3 pro for $715.
    5% store discount
    20% edu discount
    $165 galaxy s21 256gb trade in
$300 voucher from chat for trade in bonus (members app code didn't work for me)

Hard to justify a budget android phone when you can a s25 with buds for this price lol

  • Can you change the order after it's been made? Wouldn't mind switching to another watch

    • Return the watch you don’t want when it arrives and make a new order just for watch you now want?

  • -1

Can someone please tell me how you all get access to EDU/EPP store to get 20% discount and $150 bonus trade-in without actually being in school? I learned somewhere that this is doable but not being explained.

    • +1

normally you don't need an EDU email to register Samsung Store, just use your normail email address like gmail to register the samsung account,

when you switch to EDU store after log in, the EDU Store portal will ask to verify your edu email, in this case, ask help from your family and friends for EDU email then Samsung will send a verification link to the edu email address.

After verification your gmail and the edu email will be linked together for the edu store eligibilty.

    • some people use other portals like westpac, commbank, gov, etc… you can search about it on here. Others use their alumni email to access education store https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/879966

  • Is the 20% discount normal for EPP or is it a promo discount only?

    • +2

it's normal. the education store, epp, government store etc… is normally 20% discount. but there are other bonuses/ discounts/ promotion in conjunction with this pre-order which you can stack and take advantage of, which offers bigger savings.

  • Had anyone changed the color of your phone after placing an order? Possible? Ordered the Gray but looking for Black.

    • +1

I believe you have to cancel the order and re-do it, samsung not great with these kind of chances

  • -1

How are people getting the ultra for 800 odd on edu or westpac portal
I have a $1 trade in and stacked the codes and cheapest i can get is 1330 with a case and buds pro
    Thanks
