the one with the OLED screen…

Thanks @Look Up for the laptop deals… I haven't been able to pull the trigger yet. I've been in the market for one since the last black friday, but at this point I'll wait till next year when my current laptop is 10 years of age.

    • Wowee! Was in a similar boat but got a ThinkPad E16 AMD maxed out close for a good price with future upgradability for SSD/Memory… And most importantly good display, not OLED. Kept putting it off and wanted something really great value for money. It doesn't exist. Rarity.

      • Was that tightarse's deal? I was very tempted too but I was looking for 780M igpu so I couldn't pull the trigger.
There are many gaming laptop deals too but I keep thinking about the ones I purposefully passed, and now I'm regretting that I did, and I've been in decision paralysis ever since.

Saw TAs deal too which is really good but the 1 I got I upgraded my screen to QHD with 400nits and 100%sRGB. Any laptop I use I don't want a sh°tty 45% NTSC and the igpu doesn't bother me too much. If I wanted to play games I'd buy a gaming laptop. If I want best of both worlds I'd get a laptop with a mux switch for switching between the igpu and graphics card. Everything starts adding up cost and before you know it your in double your budget.

Not the pick of the bunch

Pay a bit more for better processor

    • +3

what is the pick of the bunch then?

      • +1

I guess considering all the AMD laptops currently on sale with the 8845HS, as good as the package for this one is the processor let's it down… The Acer currently at officeworks is definitely a better buy with similar specs and there's a butt load of other lenovos listed too.

    Does this have Touch?

    Damn , I am not a professional

Intel just needs a good IGPU

    • Meteor Lake and Lunar Lake do.

      • is it better than 780m?

        • Lunar Lake yes by a little bit, meteor lake no, some instances it's close others it's way behind.

    • This one is far better, even ultra 5 is better cpu than 13th i7

      • Sorry so the lenovo better then the Acer?
Just need recomendation for kid's laptop for next year

        • I think he meant the Acer is better with the ultra 5. This Lenovo use the i7 13th.

    • Thanks

  • Missing out is OK. Tech gadgets get cheaper over time.

  • Whats better, this, or for an extra $300 this: https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/configurator/cto/index.html?bun…

Link is AMD Ryzen™ 7 8845HS Processor with an extra 16GB ram.

(By whats better im wondering if the extra $300.00 is worth it)
