Still waiting for the deal to tick all my boxes but I just want to say thank you for the constant stream of laptop deal round ups, with accompanying comparisons and historical price tracking comparisons. I appreciate you , OP.

I'm waiting for a 32GB (or upgradable) non glare version in 14"

  • I would imagine battery life on this would be the low light on this build. A 13th Gen H processor and not a U processor. Would be good for those that need the processing power, dependent on the cooling capacity of the laptop.

  • -2

    its intel 13th gen avoid

    • Why?

      • 13 is unlucky

      • 11th generation had the last laptop-friendly processors. Even the supposedly low-power U variants of 12th and 13th generation are more power hungry.

    • Mobile raptor lakes are in every way different to desktop ones. Only the -HX may need a bit of special attention on as they are repurposed desktop chips.

    • -1

Aside from garbage battery life nothing wrong with the CPU’s , definitely not the degradation your trying to allude to without actually referencing any real world info or testing (there are none even if you did look).

For me ebay SNSM11 coupon brings it down to AU $1,029.00 - has it increased in price on ebay?

    • +2

      Yep. Centrecon at it again

For an everyday personal laptop I'd go for either of
    * Intel Core Ultra (if you care about light gaming)
    * Apple M (if you prefer macOS)
    * Snapdragon X (if you prefer a laptop model that only comes with it/find a good deal)
    * AMD Ryzen 5 and 7 has some good battery efficient laptop chips with decent integrated graphics (but specific model numbers are hard to remember).

All of these will give you ~10hrs of battery life which is very valuable for a slim everyday laptop.

Older non-efficent chips like this 13500h should be on a much bigger discount to be considered over the new chips.

  • Just an fyi for anyone eyeing this laptop, Harvey Norman now have it for $898 :)
