Samsung Galaxy S24 256GB $1199 (Outright) Delivered @ Telstra ($1139 Price Beat @ Officeworks)

120

Galaxy S24 256GB is $1199 outright from Telstra. It says "collect in store" for me, unsure if it can be delivered?

If officeworks will price beat it would be $1139 and with the 10% gift cards this would come to ~$1025.

Not quite the sub-$1k I was hoping for but my faithful s10e is relying on sticky tape and a case to keep the back on, not sure if I can hold out to boxing day.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2024

Any reviews on battery life on these?

Google it? This has been out for months!

I don't trust online reviews who only use it hardly 1 week. So asking anyone from ozbargain who bought it.

Look at battery stats at various tech websites.
Tomsguide, gsmarena, notebookcheck etc is a good starting point.
Or if you want some real world battery stats, search reddit & android forums widely available.

I'd personally stretch to the 24 plus model. Or better yet wait for galaxy s25 series launching in Jan 2025 for some Qualcomm snapdragon 8 elite action on all models (S25,S25+,S25 Ultra).

But by then S24 series would be further discounted. By how much? I dont know.

      • My criteria is physically same size or smaller than s10e (girl pockets and small hands), good camera, 256gb or more (or microsd), new, but otherwise as cheap as possible - rules out the s25 or the ultra. I might be able to hold out for the s25s to come out in hopes of a cheaper s24….(I'd get a s23 if I could)

S24 is a reasonable size phone. Pretty similar to S10 in terms of features really. Just new and improved.

I chose it over the S23 because Samsung finally moved the NFC antenna. Which means it's easier to use for payments (you don't have to hold it in an awkward position). But even more importantly you can now get MagSafe cases.

  • Not that good since S25 is coming Jan 30 or so.

  • S24 Samsung direct
    256GB $1089
    512GB $1359

All models discounted so could potentially PB the first party.

    • I am getting $1399 for s24 256GB from samsung.com, how are you getting $1089? Been checking the whole week hoping for a black friday discount!

I found good deals on the Samsung eBay store (they sell box damaged stock). Combine with an eBay discount code for black friday. I got one for $1050 delivered. But they have very little stock, so set up an alert in the eBay app.

      • Just realised it was stacked with Westpac offers. If you have an account with Westpac, check your offers for 15% extra discount.

        • Epic! When I went through Westpac I was offered $1,189.15 though - not sure how you are getting the extra $109 off and would love to (more expensive than pricebeat+discounted gift cards but far less hassle)

Does officeworks price beat Samsung education store?

  • If I understood correctly, you also need to have a Telstra plan.

Before the black friday price jacking, I saw $1215 from Dick Smith on eBay. Dick Smith is owned by Kogan and i understand that they use proper Samsung Australia stock now, not grey imports

    • No, you don't need a plan if you select to buy outright.

  • Anything on the ultra that can be price matched to officeworks from anywhere?

  • lol… got the s24 ultra 512gb delivered for $1571 from My mobile…

  • I am seeing $1099 on Kogan eBay store today.
