Used to be 15% last year. Good gift card to use to purchase iPhones from Officeworks at a discount as they're willing to pricebeat Costco, and these are always available at Coles, rather than being hidden by people the night before the offer.

    • Yea

    • won't OW claim that Costco is for "member" only so that they won't pricebeat? thought I tried once in the past with OW but they said no.

      • +1

they do pride beat costco, I think just you were just unlucky

        • +5

          Full of pride are Officeworks.

      • They will price beat Costco at this time. I tried both with the officeworks hotline and also my local branch.

    • +1

I used that deal last year.. its a bit disconcerting buying $2000 worth of gift cards though.. especially the ones that didn't have officeworks printed on them….. all worked out well in the end though.

      • That is certainly a unique feeling about whether gift cards will be honoured.

    • Yep did this a few months ago with a Costco price beat. product must be same code and colour.

      • +1

I had them price beat Costco on an iPhone 16 and they didn't care about colour. OW didn't have any stock in colours that matched Costco.

  • Yes all through Covid these used to pop up at 15% reasonably often then last year the best was 10% that I saw, seems to be the new normal.
I need some Hubbl cards so hopefully they’ll put one of those TCNs that include it soon and actually have stock.

  • I wanna get an iPhone for Xmas, should I get these to use at OW or the GC from Amazon? Cheers.

    • +1

I don’t think Amazon price match other stores, so if I were you I’d buy the OW gc as it’s more versatile

  • How many gift card office works accept in store or online?

    • The FAQ page linked at the bottom of the deal description has the answer.

    • +1

Officeworks is a bit hit and miss regarding doing split payment. I've had experience getting rejected doing split payment, but I went to other store then it was fine to split into 10 different cards.

      • +5

        Coz some workers lazy asf.

      • They can do it, just escalate it up the chain of command and politely don't take no for an answer. Say that they did it for you before and you know they can do it. Most retailers are more than happy to accept them because it is like handing over cash notes.

    • I used roughly 25 ish last time for in store

    • Just make sure the receipt printer has plenty of paper left on the roll.

  • 10% off, I misread that was the Coles Mastercard but now can see it’s the Choice card.

    • You’re dreaming

    • I actually did the same ! Almost fall out of bed !!!

  • ipad 10th,$487,10% off—>$439

  • Now can buy my gaming laptop for black Friday sale

  • +1

So best way to buy the iphone 16 pro max is to wait next week with the cards and OW 5% - price for a 256gb should be $1777. Pretty good i think. Will get mine then

    • Only works on the conditions of:
      1. Costco keeps their current price
      2. Both OW and Costco have the stock

      • That's true. Generally Cotsco keeps the same price and always sell the iphone $50-$80 cheaper than others. I tried this morning at OW and as my local cotsco only had the Black Pro Max 256 in stock, OW only wanted to do the deal with that one. I will go back and then pay the phone with the gift cards, hopefully they don't complaint about paying with 10 gifts cards haha

  • Is there any activation charge on these cards?TIA

  • From original source https://gcdb.com.au/offer/4171/

Limit of five gift cards per customer

So for a Macbook Air at $1400 I'd need to go to Coles twice and buy 5 x $200 then go again and buy 2 x $200 and OW would accept all 7 in one hit?

    • +2

I'd need to go to Coles twice and buy 5 x $200 then go again and buy 2 x $200

Yes, because the Coles checkout will only allow you to buy a maximum of 5 gift cards per transaction.

In regards to getting the remaining two $200 gift cards, you could sneak through a different checkout at the same Coles store on the same visit (but if staff catch you doing this, it may not go down well). Otherwise, you may need to visit another Coles store on the same day (or visit the same Coles store on another day).

OW would accept all 7 in one hit?

As per the relevant FAQ (and the FAQ page is linked at the bottom of the deal description):

      • Officeworks should accept 7 Celebration gift cards in one transaction if you are paying in-store.

      • Officeworks is unable to accept 7 Celebration gift cards in one transaction if you are paying online or over the phone at 1300 OFFICE (and there is no workaround for this).

      • Sorry, I've checked the FAQ, and could not find the answer - can I add celebration card to Google Wallet?

        • +3

          You can.

If you follow the link in the table within the deal description, it will take you to the website for the Celebration gift card. That has a webpage with instructions on how to add to a supported mobile wallet (which includes Google Wallet).

(And sorry, the FAQs were mostly written before the Celebration gift card was introduced, so I have not completely updated it. This would be the correct FAQ for your situation, except for the fact that I have not written “Celebration” in the question itself.)

      • So it's not max 5 per day, but per transaction?

        • +1

The only way you would be restricted to 5 per day is if staff actually stopped you from doing this.

This deal does not require a Flybuys account to obtain the discount, so how else would Coles’ checkouts automatically stop you from purchasing more than 5 per day?

          • +1

@WookieMonster: Thanks @WookieMonster, I managed to get 5x$200 from two different Coles each time, with 10% off applied instantly at the self check out.

    • I just used seven in-store at Office Works on an iPad Air & Pencil Pro.

  • I reckon it'll be gone by 9am tomorrow

  • Probably a silly question but does this usually result in a bloodbath at Coles 9am

  • Can I use these Coles gift cards to go buy Apple gift cards in-store or online?

  • Is it working anymore? The link just takes you to just general Coles page.

    • The link to this deal takes you to the page on the Coles website with the catalogues, because this offer is advertised in the current Coles catalogue.

As per the title and description of this deal, this is an in-store only deal at Coles. Today is the first day of this deal.

  • Hmm, can I go into OW and redeem multiple vouchers for an item that isn't actually in stock in the store itself (ie needs delivering from the warehouse)? (eg iPad Air)

    • +1

Yes you can, I did it for an Apple Mac, airpods and apple watch.

      • Great - now to find a Coles with gift cards XD
        Thanks.

      • Thanks, it worked.

  • +1

West ryde sold out by 8

  • +1

A handful left at top ryde

    • About 8 more in gladesville

  • Went to Cole’s in Vermont south. They had none at all according to staff to begin with. Seems a bit misleading advertising stuff they don’t have or limited.

    • Agree - but a few stores said they hadn’t received stock yet so might be worth checking in the next few days, or calling ahead to ask

  • I went to 5 stores in and near Melbourne CBD. 4 of them never got stock and were asked to destroy the older ones as design has changed. 1 store received only a handful which were of course taken by someone at 6am. All the stores said check back tomorrow as we might get stock, fingers crossed.

    • Which one near CBD did you go? I was planning to go tonight but might just save the trip

      • all three in the CBD and then south melbourne. however I went back to Coles local normanby this morning around 10.30am and they had stock. I left 4 for you haha!

        • All good I bought from normanby last night haha

  • Coles Blacktown has plenty in 100$ GC's
Bought the last 3, 200$ GC's..went to Officeworks brought a Brother MFC-L8690CDW Colour Laser Printer for $542 after price beating to Amazon$634

  • +1

Just used 4 GC bought at Coles Burwood in OW Glen Waverley, no staff complaints

  • Note on the Celebration website that the *GC won't work for online purchases of *technology**, works for every other category. Can confirm that it didn't work when I tried to purchase an SD card online.

    • temporarily, and you can use it in-store no issues

      • Yes, thanks, I did that in order to get a price beat (they don't answer their phones) on another tech item, which is why I was surprised later when it didn't work online.

  • +2

Still a few left at North Ryde.

Used 51 cards across two transactions in store at Officeworks without any problems. Stack with price matches and 10x Onepass and 5x Flybuys via app

    • how do you get 10 x one pass and 5 x flybys?

      • +1

Sorry typo. Works out to same total but I meant 5x with Onepass (w/ paid Annual membership for one year) and 10x with Flybuys (boost in the Flybuys app for Black Friday at Officeworks)

        • +1

the 10x flybuys o/w must have been targeted offer as I didn't get that one

  • +2

Grabbed 10x$200 cards this morning. Officeworks price beat Costco on iPhone 16 pro max to $1975.99. Chrissy present for Mrs sorted.

  • Went to 5 different coles this morning. Managed to grab some at the last one I visited. Thanks OP.

  • +10

FYI for anyone interested, IKEA was added as a participating retailer this morning. This means any Celebration gift cards can now be redeemed at IKEA (regardless of whether the Celebration gift card was purchased today or earlier).

  • +2

Picked up 7x $200 and 1 x $100 (bought 5, walked out, in again, bought 3 more on different checkout), straight to Officeworks and MacBook Air and Airpods 4 NC bought, saving $150. Thanks OP.

    • Won't waiting for either Black Friday/Cyber Monday or the release of MacBook Air M4 save you about $300 on top?

  • -6

went to coles at 10:50pm on Tuesday the night before. loads of stock so I thought I would be safe but decided to hide what I needed behind some other gift cards. came back the next day at 1pm and they were all cleared out. lucky I had the foresight!

  • Would i be able to use multiple cards to make one purchase at OW? and can i buy a mac using this card?

    • +1

I see no issues with you doing this if you are making a purchase in-store. I purchased a Mac in-store yesterday using 13 Celebration gift cards.

Redeeming multiple Celebration gift cards in one transaction can be a tedious process (and it took me four minutes to redeem all Celebration gift cards), so my suggestion is to take the gift cards out of the packaging before you get to the checkout. I scratched the panel on the back of each gift card to reveal the PIN whilst at the checkout, because it took a few seconds for the checkout assistant to request the checkout to do the next split payment.

You cannot do split payments across multiple Celebration gift cards if you want are wanting to purchase online or over-the-phone at 1300 OFFICE.

      • +1

        thank you !

  • How diligent are Officeworks about checking if a product is actually in stock for a price beat?
Looking to buy an iPhone 16 Pro 256GB and get them to price beat Costco but the colours I want aren’t in stock but you can’t tell it’s not in stock until you select the colour from the drop down

    • a couple of weeks ago I got OW to price match an iPad although it had to be the identical colour as what Costco had in stock

    • Depends on the staff. Some actually allow you to. But generally it needs to be the same specs, as well as colour.

  • Has anyone been able to buy a Playstation gift card from Officeworks using this card?

Alternatively, what would be my cheapest option to getting a PlayStation GC (to pay for PlayStation plus subscription)?

    Cheers.

  • +1

    Hey, is anyone aware -
    1) can this be used at IKEA online
    2) if yes, can I use multiple gift cards at once?
    Thank you in advance!

    • +1
      • +1

        Thank you, this really helps

      • @WookieMonster from your experience, how long does it take usually to exchange celebration gift card to IKEA, I need to make payment today. Thanks.

        • Sorry! I have been busy doing other things for nearly all of today.

An exchange should take a few minutes.

  • latecomer! is there any other giftcard is currently on that i can use for Officeworks? I can't find Celebration giftcard at Coles anywhere anymore. Need about $1k for an Apple watch.

  • use the apple gift cards on sale to buy it

  • +1

There’s still plenty of celebration gift cards @ Coles local Manly. If anyone is still looking
