doing the same but it seems there's a 2-3 second lag with the live view.
I've probably got 0.5 seconds delay. Maybe depends on WiFi strength ?
@OzBargaincreeper: Tapo app says the Wi-Fi signal is strong, but even with the camera only a couple of meters from the router, there's still a noticeable 2-second lag. Any ideas?

yeah, or you can do VLC audio mode only and turn the screen off.
I did this at night time, to just use it as an audio monitor.
