    2 for $44

Perfect. You can point one at the other one to make sure it doesn’t get stolen.

    • +3

But what if both get stolen? Nevermind. I'm ordering 2x2 pack just to be safe.

      • But what if all four got stolen? You need eight.

        • +1

Excellent point! If only there was a way to protect 8!

  • These any good as baby cams?

    • +6

yes, many members use it for this.

      They even have cry detection.

Use VLC or other app to get the RTSP stream, for 24/7 viewing.

        how ??

        • +3

          how what?

just just get the IP and connect to the RTSP stream

          rtsp://###.###.###.###/stream1

oh very good but thats a loop hole in system and you open the port to hack your network. You actually invite hacker into your network by doing this hahaha lol

          • @dreksmith:

you open the port to hack your network.

No one said to open a port.

    • I bought this from the sale 2 weeks ago, set it up as baby cams in two rooms.

I use an old phone as the monitor, just set it to battery saver mode & screen always on

Very happy in comparison to Omicron monitors we had before

      • doing the same but it seems there's a 2-3 second lag with the live view.

        • I've probably got 0.5 seconds delay. Maybe depends on WiFi strength ?

          • @OzBargaincreeper: Tapo app says the Wi-Fi signal is strong, but even with the camera only a couple of meters from the router, there's still a noticeable 2-second lag. Any ideas?

        • also don't have that much delay.

what are you viewing the cameras in?

          • @impoze: Tapo app - 2seconds delay
rtsp on vlc player - 3 seconds

      • yeah, or you can do VLC audio mode only and turn the screen off.

I did this at night time, to just use it as an audio monitor.

You can also power these with USB - DC barrel cables.

I've tried with both 9V & 12V cables from aliexpress.

Saves a power plug, and you can use existing USB hubs or powerbank if need.

    • +1

Oh what, that's good to hear

    • How long would it last on a power bank though?

      • Depends on the size of the powerbank.

        • Oh course but say a 30000mah one. Would these still require to have to change them every week or so?

  • You can price match at goodguys
Some officeworks store still have in stock use that one and price match
