I'm sure it's a nice machine but the idea with those machines is the manual process, I mean what makes it fun for me and worthwhile, you take that away and might well get those cheapo pod machines.

Is the impress worth it over the regular touch? Assuming now that it's effectively the same price it's probably a no brainier. A better question might be how well the impress tamp works?
Impress is using a newer platform, with better tamper. But the price difference is quite big.
Well that's the thing, at the moment it's not a big difference in price. Well at least with the black truffle which is the one i'm after.

I would definitely recommend the standard touch over this, my parents have a breville with the auto tamp and it's terrible. This one may be better, but not worth the risk IMO.
