iPad's have 1 year international warranty from Apple.

Apple Australia’s Jesse James told us that the one year limited warranty “applies to the hardware product manufactured by or for Apple that can be identified by the ‘Apple’ trademark, trade name, or logo affixed to it”.
Which means that original Apple gear – purchased in Hong Kong or the US or locally from Kogan, regardless of where that company sourced the stock – is supported under an Australian Apple warranty.
Actually, I still have reservations around this, I believe it's logical to provide global warranty for iPad's that are WiFi based, but the Cellular ones, I'm not too sure, aren't some of the chips inside the iPad different depending on the region you purchased from? I know that for the iPhone 5 that's a case, where the US version probably doesn't work with LTE over here.

I think you had to signup during the initial period, from memory they emailed out MoneyBackCo members… must have been a year ago or more now though.
Just went through my old emails, and there's one that says my MBC account was automatically transferred over to StartHere. So it's probably worth logging into StartHere with your old MBC details, and hopefully your account will have "Founder" status. :)

You can buy the Apple Care for iPad to extend an extra 1 year warranty if you want.

Yeah, they would be shipped straight from Honk Kong or somewhere to avoid GST.
Same stuff from HN online direct import games i guess. No GST is collected and therefore no GST to claim. If TGG has it for $690 inc-GST then you can claim $62.73 TRS back.

Please do not include cash back in the title. Starhere is pretty reliable but would never claim that the tracking works 100% of the time. i.e. It is not 100% certain that you will get the price in the title. Consider the cashback a bonus, if it happens.

Grabbed one using Paypal. A bit sus that they don't let you use any discount codes if you go through Paypal, but figured the extra $20 was worth it for the peace of mind if they turned out to be dodgy.
I applied the code at the payment screen then proceeded with Paypal payment and the discount was applied.

I bought my 3rd generation iPad (64 GB Wi-Fi + 3G) from them a few months ago. Paid $800 for it, got it in about 6 days and the warranty is still covered by Apple.
