  • Should we have one for car and one for baby trolley? Is it useful? Thanks everyone

      One for my kitten.

    • Used four to keep track of luggage during overseas trip, the peace of mind was absolutely worth the price.

Eufy SmartTrack Link is better, it works with both Apple’s Find My network and Eufy’s own app, making it compatible with iPhones and Android devices.

Just a quick google search, and found a review
      https://www.reddit.com/r/eufy_security/comments/yxks38/comme…

    • Can you explain how its better beyond its compatibility? Cause reviews contradict what you are saying, supposedly the Eufy ones fail pretty often.

    • I have been burnt enough times buying cheap junk only to have it break 2 days after warranty. Apple has been overpriced AF but I have never had an issue with any of their products.

  • If you don't need precise location I highly recommend the cheap ones on Aliexpress.

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006033976502.html

    • I bought some of these for about $2.50 each (bundle deal). So far, they work well.

      • Have you compared them to AirTags and what is the exact difference between them.

        • No, I don’t have AirTags, I only have ATUVOS Tags. Are you really want to compare a $3 item to a $30 one?

        • +2

I have both and used both.

Honestly, no noticeable difference between the two.

Since learning that, I've bought 10 more of the cheap ones from Aliexpress.

    • That is interesting, how did they get access to Apple system, I thought they had it locked

        Brainwashed by Apple

I've used similar looking ones, and in my experience it hasn't even been comparable to an Apple Airtag.

I eventually ditched all the cheap ones because they were so unreliable. Any time I actually pulled up FindMyI to check the location of one of these tags, the location wasn't up to date at all, with the last location having been updated hours before. I could only reliably get a fresh location when the item was next to me, which defeats the purpose.

I've also found the battery life to be pretty bad. Then they silently die and you suddenly can't track the item anymore.

Since moving to airtags, locations stay fairly updated. Haven't had the legit ones long enough to really test battery life yet, but I can't imagine it will be worse than what I experienced with the 3rd party ones.

    • I tried a couple of these and Their battery drain as fast Uasin Bolt.

I will definitely go with Apple as they are reasonably priced for the quality.

I wish only they were waterproof

  • I bought the remax version in AliX. Works ok … No precise location needed. Bought airtags from amazon and 2 died within 30 days.

There’s rumours of new ones coming out soon

    • Not as worth it without a iPhone 15/16 tho

It's unreal how 3 years down the track tile ultra with uwb is still vapourware.

At the moment it's just Samsung and motorola offering uwb for Android people

  • New to airtags. Not gonna use all 4 at the same time but how do I test each of them and turn it off afterwards?

    • +1

You turn them off by removing the battery.

Sorry guys, there is no cheap equivalent for these things yet, every option out there comes at quite a significant compromise, do your research thoroughly first and make sure you are okay with whatever the corner cutting is for the particular product you are looking at. For functionality nothing beats the proper air tags yet.

    • Agreed, these work great, and as something used to keep track of your child, beloved pet, car, valuable luggage, etc it’s EASILY worth it for ~$35 a piece.

Amazon is currently basically the same, $137.95 delivered (16% discount)

Thanks! Bought via Amazon as I find their shipping to be incredibly reliable.
