    You can buy Chinese made tags that can be added to Apple's Find My app from AliExpress for less than $4.

    Didn't have the U1 chip but still good enough.

        I buy the $10 ones
        They don't alert people that a tag is following them
        Also don't update as often but perfect to hide inside things in case of theft

    i purchased a bunch of ali specials. Threw one in each bike, caravan, trailer, car, etc… amazing little bang for buck piece of mind. Not fool proof by any stretch but nice to have.

      I find they are better as the ones I bought don't send a notification that an unknown tracker is travelling, best for asset theft protection
