These look great - but the discussion in the linked deal really doesn't sell the item for me. Sounds like you're better off with a model with rechargeable internal battery and bigger water reservoir. Plus a myriad of generic versions available too.

I've had bad experience with Waterpik's internal battery ones.
They may suddenly stop charging for whatever reason. Mine died a bit over a month of daily use.
If you read the Amazon reviews on them, it seems to be quite a big problem.

I have this one paired with a set of Ikea batteries.
Its been going strong for over a year.
Main problem I have with this one is stuff tends to build up on the exterior over time (and it has lots of gaps for it).
Water reservoir not a concern once you're familiar with it, but even then it only takes a few seconds to refill.
Would highly recommend this over the internal battery versions due to reliability and price.

Have also tried XTAR lithium AAs with this and would not recommend it for first timers or sensitive people as the pressure is way too strong.

      • How's the pressure on these?

Pretty good, but it varies with the battery charge/voltage.

With the XTAR lithium AAs it can literally cut your gum if you have it at 2 and full charge.

With Ikea AAs I usually use 1 at full charge and have to go to 2 as the charge gets lower.
Its probably about 50~75% on the countertop versions which is probably where most people are comfortable at.
