Reolink hub is not available in Australia at the moment unless you import. Otherwise Reolink os better.
Why is a hub necessary? Aren't these stand alone camera's?
They are and you can save locally, but hub provides extra protection of saving data away from the camera in the case of vandalisation.
@aparasher: So instead of saving footage to nvr you save to hub to secure the local storage of footage?
Reolink Hub is available in Australia. I just bought it last week, it shipped from Sydney.

@bloom: The gift card the last time I bought one of these cameras from HN and got a $50 one, took about a day to come through to my email (not a physical gift card).

Its got its own 8G storage. No subscription required
You can get cloud, but I use homebase. I think you can put a sd card

Would you mind sharing some feedback on your real world experiences with them? Any issues with the solar panels charging correctly? I’m going to position them in areas where power is a problem and they’ll be fairly high but I’ve had poor experiences with the Arlo ecosystem so I’m skeptical of their performance and reliability! Thank you!
I quite like it. I pair it up with floodlight e340 which is the hardwired version of the camera. The solocam has good resolution and AI trace is quite good. The light is quite weak though so don't think you'll be able to rely on it as a small flood light.
Haven't had issue with charging at a location with about 60% light throughout the day.

Been great units, so looking forward to having all them working together now.Any delays waking up the camera? My current reolinks takes half of a second to wake up, so by the time it's up, the person isnt in the frame already.

They don't need the Homebase (I currently do not have one) and they can work with one.

Well it is a stand alone system, but also compatible with HB3.

No. Battery cameras aren't currently capable of 24/7 recording, even if connected to HomeBase 3.
